Hi and a very warm welcome to the channel. No I didn't have to change either the brake or clutch cables but you would need to if you go any higher. The led indicators/daylight running lights are ProBeam. ruclips.net/video/N0uujefXp_E/видео.html
Very helpful, thank you. Shopping for my Dyna’s replacement now and going to look at a ‘21 Sportglide this afternoon. All the best from an ex.pat. Londoner in Putnam Valley NY.
Hello Ian, you will love the Sport Glide. Smooth & adaptable. I think it gives you the best of everything. I have heard people say it should come with the 114 engine but I find it powerful enough and have no trouble keeping up with my Son on his Fat Bob
Just popped over to this channel I’m not into bikes but yours does look a beast and definitely the cleanest around, I’m missing some OCD action, hope you are keeping well. I must be childish but I thought you said ball bag risers at some point 😅
Hello Nick & welcome to my little channel, surely you're note surprised that I keep my bike clean & shiny. I have made the most of the summer on the bike and currently completing a big project in the garden but hope to get back on OCD in the very near future. Good to hear from you mate👍
@@My_bike_and_me I know the feeling Martin, I've struggle a lot with it this year but I'm in the zone at the minute!! Hopefully I can stay there lol Great to see your content on either channel 👍🏼
Thanks for upload...done a number of mods myself...recent ones being the Memphis Shades handguards to take away that windchill off the hands and just waiting on some heated grips to come in and get them installed as I will be riding over Winter. Loving the Kuryakyn Hex floorboards I put on and made a recent 2200miles ride so comfy...mustache guard also handy having somewhere to stretch the legs out on as well.. I'm not going for a replacement seat yet as I find the standard one is good enough atm...but jury is still out as seats just cost sooo much. :)
There is just no end to the mods you can carry out Max to make the SG you own. Im a fair weather rider so going to give the heated hand grips a miss. Ride safe👍
Great quality mods Martin, you are going to cost me a fortune now, you have given me so many ideas, I just ordered the radiator guard that you used and I haven't even got the bike yet until Saturday!😂
I also run a car detailing channel and am always costing people money with new products I review. I hope the mods I have are giving you a few ideas as to what you can do. some you may like and some not for you. The video on the alarm siren is one to be careful about as it was a nightmare job and not one I would want to do again as it was so fiddly. keep me up to date on collecting the bike and what your plans for it are. Martin👍
Hi Martin, love the customisation you’ve done to your bike, must have set you back some money but it’s always a pleasure to see it all in the end. Ride safe! PS. It’s good to see your son riding with you! God bless!
Hi Thomas, glad you liked it. Riding around on local trips the stock screen is fine and I love the look but having been on a few longer trips especially on motorways I have been looking at a bigger screen but have seen differing views & they are not cheap especially if they are shipped from the US. So I have found a reasonably cheap 12" screen that I have ordered to try out. If it does the job I may go for a better one but thought I would try it first. As soon as I get it I will do a quick video on installation
I meant to add that if you go for the Sport Glide you will love it although the LowRider ST has a 117 engine so I guess it depends on what you are looking for🤷🏻♂️
Hi Thomas, yep I have a cheap one on order from MOTEA to see what I think. My be useful on a few road trips. I will share with you all as soon as it arrives
I'm late to the party here but I'm curious about the risers. I'm 5'7" and I wasn't sure 4 inch risers would be enough for comfort. I get pain in my shoulder blades and upper back on longer rides because I'm slightly hunched. My sport glide is a 2020 and I'm just trying to figure out if I can get away with the more reasonably priced risers or do I need to upgrade the bars. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Jerry, my honest opinion is you may want to give the 6" risers a little thought if you suffer from shoulder and back pain on the longer rides. I guess you will have to decide on the look of the current bars versus whatever new bars you have in mind. Im 5'6" and I get on fine with the 4" but I don't do a lot of long rides. If I did then I would seriously consider the 6". Either case, higher bars or 6" risers you will be hit with the added expense of new longer brake & clutch cables. Hope that help a little
@@My_bike_and_me I'm less concerned with look and more concerned with comfort. I do however really appreciate you taking time to respond and I will take what you said in to account. So thank you kindly.
Excellent video! Question, I’m highly considering buying one of these. How comfortable are you with the forward foot controls? I’m 5’6 (actually closer to 5’5.5”) thanks
Great job Sir! I've added the same HD grips and a set of Kuryakyn Hex floorboards to my SG. I also added the 4" pullback risers, what a difference they make! I also installed the Memphis Shades hand guards; they help in the cold and all year long help to deflect the road trash and hard shell bugs. 😝 I replaced the stock fairing with an El Diablo fairing from LA Fairing Co. Coupled with the upgraded risers, I have room to attach a small bag for extra bits of kit. I thought about going with the HD mustache engine guard, it looks great, but went with the Bungking crash bars instead. I like their looks and they're stronger than the HD engine guards. Thanks for sharing your mods. Deep up the great work and ride safe!
Cheers Royce & welcome to the channel. there are so many options for the Sport Glide to make it your own. I have just upgraded my horn (video to follow I hope) not for any real reason other than I was bored🤷🏻♂️. Take car and let me know of any other mods you do as its always good to get ideas from others
That's one cracking Sport Glide, love everything you've done to it especially the all chrome exhaust contrasting with the gloss black paint (awesome tank graphics on that model) and I'm not usually a fan of those big air cleaners but I agree it's just a perfect match here. I really enjoyed the ride too especially since your son just so happened to buy my dream bike! Do you happen to know whether he got a custom smaller license plate made, and where I might find that axle mounted plate holder? Great video thank you and belated congrats on your stunning steed!
Hello Andrew & thanks for the positive comments on my bike, appreciate it. My Son had just picked the bike up from the dealership the previous week. We both bought our bikes from Sykes in Sussex, a really great dealership that prides its self on building long term relations through great customer service. When he was enquiring about the bike he mentioned to them that he didn't like the stock number plate so they changed it free of charge. So unfortunately I have no info on it but Im guessing its an HD part🤷♂️. He has just received Vance & Hines Hi output slip on mufflers from them with a big discount. Ride safe mate👍

Awesome looking bike, beautiful mod's. Love how youve broken the video into little chunks to explain each item, I used to have a 2018 Sport glide that was heavily modified and I very much regret selling it.... I'm not a fortune teller but I see another Sport Glide in my future very soon.
