How would you compare this with Head Speed MP 360+? From your video, this latest Radical’s gonna be less powerful but what about other aspects? Thank you! Great channel~
Nice review! I just have 1 constructive criticism. I think that the random color/effect filters are a bit weird and unecessary. The final pj will be mostly orange with silver in the throat 😁
Yeah, I really liked this frame so thanks for encouraging me to try it. First I tried a friends prototype MP beefed up to 340g strung and hit it for about an hour. It played great and i really enjoyed it. Then this morning, I took out a demo of the new Pro version and also loved it. Had a 2hr session that included two sets of match play and i really like the feel and control
Two points to mention regarding colours: (i) Your posterization filter at 2:40 is definitely the best effect! (ii) If Head produce this in this silver prototype colour, I will buy it. Being older than 12, I can't cope with a silly orange racket.
Great review. I'm tossing up between the Radical Pro & the Yonex Vcore 98. What do you think the main differences are between the 2 & which do you prefer?
This is a great racket! Exactly like you said, very good all around, with no weaknesses really. One thing I disagree with is that it is more comforable than a Prestige. It is more forgiving and still almost has the same levels of control, but the feel is crisper and not as plush as with a good Prestige. For serving, I really liked this one with some lead at 12. Very versatile on serves as well.
Dude, thanks for the review and your thoughts. I was looking closely and listening when you talking about the serve, and saw that you don't follow through all the way on your serve and it looks like you holding up
Hi, I'd like to ask your advice. I play with the Prince Textreme 100P (first version), with custom (lead at 10 and 2 o'clock and at 6 and 4 o'clock, silicone in the handle), so that the racquet is more stable, but it has lost a bit of manoeuvrability. I would like to go back to a 97 or 98", weight 305 or 310g, good manoeuvrability and power. Is there such a racquet? I play flat, aggressive from the baseline, one-handed backhand. Thank you!
Hi My Tennis HQ, please let me know how does the Head 360+ Radical Pro racquet stack up against Head 360+ Speed Pro in terms of control, comfort, manoeuvrability, and power. Thank you in advance.
Hey Karue, Are you going to be reviewing the Pro version anytime soon? Please let us know how it compares to the Ezone 98 Tour and the Vcore 95. Thanks in advance and keep up the stellar reviews!
How's does the Radical MP compare to the Extreme Tour 360+ (weighted up)? I play an ET but find that I have to add too much weight to get the stability I need. The ET is truly great when I am "on", but the weight leaves me little room for error when I'm not.
Iv been playing with the prestige all my life, but when I was starting to play tennis, I played with the liquid metal radical MP. Thought of switching back to radical. Worried I might not get enough stability. Cos the previous previous previous model was too wobbly 😂
appreciate your videos. I've hit with this for a short while and enjoyed it. I'm thinking if this or the PRO would be a better fit. I usually put a leather grip on all my racquets so maybe the MP would be better and then add lead in the hoop. Doing that to the PRO might be too heavy. Former Prestige MP user (sometimes still use it) as it is too heavy for me now with my fitness not what it was.
Thanks for the review, seems that Radicals gonna be a success. Interesting to know, why you think it's more comfortable than Prestige? Prestige 360+ MP has that 61 RA and is plenty comfortable, I could bet a house these Radical will not come with lower RA or vibration frequency :)
I think the paint job looks pretty swanky actually...kinda like it. Oh, idk if it's just me, but I don't see a tennis-warehouse link in the description
Whenever a new Radical comes out I'm always intrigued just because I started with a Microgel Radical when I was first learning tennis. I ended up switching away from it just because I couldn't get it customised enough to my liking. (Stock form doesn't offer enough pop on serve was my biggest issue really, and tinkering with weight, made me uncomfortable with how the balance felt so I ended up switching) I'll prob still demo whenever it comes out just because the Radical line has a lot of sentimental value but from the specs, doesn't seem like it's a stick I'll be switching to
@@KaruesellHQ yeah hopefully the pro is more in line with the spec I like nowadays. The 360 pro was just a tad too stiff for my liking but sounds like this update might be more my thing
Would you be able to do a comparison with the latest Speed MP? I have a Speed but wish it was 98 and not 100 so wondering how the Radical compares. Thanks.
I think the speed is more muted and gives you less pop than the radical. There is livelier more crisp response from the radical. Like he mentioned in the vid its a "lighter prestige" if you wish. I prefer it to the speed. Used to play with a blx prostaff 95 before and the like the radical better as its a bit sturdier (stiffer) and super responsive
@My Tennis HQ, great video; much appreciated. A question, though: the unstrung balance is 1HL, but strung it is 4 HL. In theory, with more weight added to the head of the racquet (and only the head, since the string only goes there), I'd have thought the racquet would be more HH, not more HL....can you explain this phenomenon, as I have read this before and been curious about it
I’ll answer this, although a little late. The unstrung balance is stated as 1in. HL balance, which translates to 8 points HL unstrung. I was scratching my head too for a moment with my Gravity Pro and the Radical Pro. The also state 1 in. HL. So the addition of 17 grams or so of strings would move the balance point up about 1/2 inch, or “4 points”.
It’s weird on the Prestige and Radical lines, the MP use to be the tighter 18x20 pattern. And the Pro the open 16x19. Speed is the opposite, and makes more sense. More pro, less help for power. Less level, more help and game improvement from the racket.
Great reviews. Unrelated to this review, would like to know your thoughts: I have been using Yonex vcore and sv 98 before that for quite some time. This year I picked up clash 100 from the club and was really surprised. Weight in handle and in hoop up to 310 and still headlight, does not have the spin or power of vcore, but I can work the balls better and because of the feel and dwell time, control is better too. I would like to know how this setup would compare to an ezone 98/100 similarly weighted. I am lacking a bit of power especially in first serve.
I don't think the ezone 98 would be the one to add more power. I never tried the 100 but I'd say maybe stick to the racket you are playing with now. You can try adding weight to the head to see if you can gain a little bit of power but I don't recommend changing rackets for only one specific reason like power on the first serve
If I were you I would get the yonex VCORE pro 97. On groundstrokes it has a good amount of spin (not as much as your VCORE but pretty close )but it has less power so you might need to make the tension of the strings a bit lower, but serves on that racket are amazing, and you could probably get even more power with that racket because of how well the racket pockets the ball. the feel of the racket will be a lot different than your VCORE but it could be something to consider. you could also try the 100 square inch head size model if you need the extra power and spin
@@b-radmybro3299 Hey, appreciate the input. I have a vcore pro 310 too. But I feel more connected to the ball with the clash. Even though the vcore pro has a denser pattern, I feel more control with clash. Maybe it is the dwell time or the extremely head light balance. Orange / Grey, two tone paint job. It's pretty ugly actually - makes it look like a toy racquet but what can you do? Unstrung specs of the Radical Pro are: 315g, 315mm balance, 20/21,5/21mm beam. @@KaruesellHQ i have a question nobody has been able to answer. If you have a 11.5 raquet that its 1 pt. Headlight.
