Before You Were (from 'Streams of Consciousness' by Andrew Holdsworth)

Taken from ‘Streams of Consciousness’, a solo piano album compiled from an entirely improvised recording session over three consecutive days in July 2024. The session was recorded by a video camera positioned above the keyboard and the only ‘composed’ phrase of each piece was the very first one, which was conceived just before the camera was turned on. Every subsequent note and harmony is nothing but a response to the notes and harmonies before it.
Other videos on this channel include the entire album in one shot, a sleep/relaxation orientated synthesised version with hypnotic swirling visuals, and a compilation of all the saddest pieces - some of which don't feature on the audio album.
