I think it is not necessary for all people in the world to believe in the same values or the same gods or in so many things that separate us...
I really think that the only thing we need is to choose life, everyone's life, to understand that tragedies test us all, but it is no excuse to look for more tragedies...
I wish that rulers everywhere come to think the same and in the future lead their people with that in mind...

I’ve watched this and live performance at least 30 times and cry each time. The plea is so profound. Dimash has changed and united so many people. How does a 26 year old start to compose this masterpiece? Then develop the script, perform. I truly believe it will be hundreds of years before anyone like Dimash is seen again. His music is the way his message is conveyed. Unity, peace. Watch his concerts you will see people from many countries, religions, ages singing together in Kahzak, his language, etc. Heart warming even when heartbreaking.
Again please watch live performance from Almaty and start it early for his words. Keep in mind he had already performed for about 3 hours and went on to perform after it. We are blessed to witness Dimash.

Dimash is a massive advocate for world peace. He regularly is invited to forums to speak out against war. He has spoken about it at his live concerts too. In this video he shows the horrors of war & is pleading with the world to see how wrong this is. "We are choosing life" should be the mantra of us all. Stop all wars! They are always about money, land, religion & should not happen at all. That's the message behind this song.

Personnellement, je ne vous aurai pas conseillé aussi tôt cette vidéo dans votre voyage au pays de Dimash. Il y a un long parcourt à faire avant pour vous imprégner totalement de ce travail de titan qu'accomplit Dimash. Prenez le temps de le découvrir dans ses extraordinaires prestations en Chine en 2017 dans l'émission "I'm the Singer". Pendant 14 semaines, Dimash a relevé 14 défis, s'est fait connaître du jour au lendemain sur toute la planète, mais surtout en Chine avec 600millions de téléspectateurs . Les autres concurrents étaient tous des chanteurs et chanteuses professionnels, tous reconnus pour leurs très grands talents, et sont devenus ses amis, car il est impossible de résister au charme de ce jeune homme talentueux. This MV is one of his best. I haven't recommended it to you yet because I thought it was too early for you. Even die-hard Dimash fans were left speechless by this video for a long time. I was wrong. Really a very great reaction. He is an abassador of peace. He never get tired to advocat peace everywhere he is. He was recently appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the UN. IOM Regional Goodwill-Ambassador of Migration.
In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to really understand it. The video is full of symbolism. No camera angle is unwanted, every scene has meaning
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.
The premiere was on September 24, 2022.
As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders).
And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches.

Btw, Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰.

This song is so powerful. It allows you to go through all the emotions of sadness, anger etc with a beautiful message at the end. It is so easy to separate yourself away from the wars and poverty etc around the world while you go through an everyday life of work and rutines. I hear about wars if I seek out the news.... which I usually dont.. The reality of what goes on is broughtt o the forefront with a song and movie like this. I would follow someone who preaches love and life for all to the end of the earth. It is a testament to the immense talent that Dimash has that you feel every emotion. Love and light/life to all!

(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. (5) The final text is part of the document generated at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 09/14/2022 and was attended by Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.

Hi there! I would like to stress the way Dimash calls us to action when he says we have past the moment of “Imagine”referring to John Lennon’s song. It is time for new generations to stop Imagining and start taking action. That’s why not on my the images, but also the entire Dimash’s is abilities, and techniques of singing are poured into this masterpiece! Not only we can feel the whole variety of human emotions, in his voice, but also the sounds of all religions: we can hear the “OM”, we can hear the Muslim call from the mosque, we can hear the big horn, we can hear the church bells follow by Christian music. Because we live all under the same sky on the same and unique planet. He calls for sharing an understanding, and that’s why Dimash’s emotions, being dead with his voice in this video or so unique. ❤ from Spain 🇪🇸

The 3 in the story was Dimash, his wife & the Dictator who saved Dimash from drowning as a child. The baby born was Dimash's son who grew to become a leader of nations against war. The mother also died in childbirth, hence her necklace on the baby. A very powerful message against war. Even John Lennon's Imagine was mentioned in the song when Dimash said "We have passed the moment of "Imagine"". He was saying, this is now going too far & something has to change. The final message in the write-up at the end shows how Dimash feels about war.

Someone very nastily called me out on this. Remember that this is just my opinion, my supposition. So, if I’m wrong I will stand corrected
This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life.
Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb)
So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. And so violence is not the way (You can murder the "bad guy" but if everybody thinks that violence is an answer, another "bad guy" will appear for sure.) And then we see that his son made a better decision... His son joins others in seeking peace. That is the final answer.

It is not a vulgar message of peace, it is also a proposal to understand some of the mechanisms which lead to killing each other or imposing suffering on others. For example, the blond boy found himself frustrated at not being chosen by the young girl, he probably developed a need for revenge in power. Through his charisma he has become a leader, a “piper” that others listen to, believe and follow. Everyone, as a child, should have been the object of care, attention, support, to avoid cultivating these feelings. Very interesting also, the rise in anger, to the point of hatred and the desire to kill, of the character of Dimash when he discovers his child killed. I watched several reators of this work and many were relieved by Dimash's revenge, as many films encourage us to do. But Dimash puts himself to death because having intentionally caused death puts him outside the world of the living: one does not take one's life without losing one's own. This is not debatable..... (2) The character (who Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm the friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend;
(3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy;
(4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general;
(5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family;
(6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend;
(7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life;
(8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special;
(9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

For example, in my interpretation, the people wandering through the canyon are not refugees from war, but the souls of the righteous who accepted the idea of the primary value of human life. The canyon represents human history for many centuries, and people walk along this thorny path towards light and goodness. Dimash’s character joins this procession of the righteous as an equal among equals, and not at all as a leader. He is still the last one in their ranks; each of us must join this procession. Dimash felt the need to create this song, that he worked on for a couple of yrs, because he wanted to raise awareness of humans to the destruction created by themselves. It's enough for 1 'Piper' to go off the rails of sanity and drag the whole mankind in abyss. People are letting themselves either pulled by evil and become evil themselves, or else be passive and resist awareness because they won't have the truth of reality. The few that 'chose life' can't do anything, but only after the pain left behind by wings of death is sharp enough to sting most of survivors. Please understand that mankind must and should raise against the 'mad Pipers', if only to survive and exist.

He finds his daughter dead and Dimash realizes that these are soldiers of the dictator who was his friend. And he goes to kill him.
