  • For this series in John I'd like to acknowledge the tremendous research and insights from the following: Jesus Christ, Disciple Maker by Bill Hull, Born of God: Sermons from John, Chapter One by Martin Lloyd Jones, the teachings and writings of Pastor Timothy Keller, historical research in The MacArthur Bible Commentary - John by John MacArthur,The Expositors Bible Commentary - John; by Merrill C. Tenney and The Gospel According to John by D.A. Carson.
Who is Jesus? Who did Jesus claim to be? As we begin our new sermon series in the Gospel of John we will explore these questions that John answered.
"If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world." - C.S. Lewis
    Jesus is eternal.
    Jesus is God.

After reading the book of revelation, in the context of "the logos," what do you do with Rev 19:13? "...his name is called the word of God..." "Logos tou Theo." More than just an abstract rationalization of the meaning of life... the Word of God is what His name is called, would you agree?
