InsideIIM - Konversations Good for him. But aren’t you going to create an impression that this is the answer to give? And potential students are going to say the same answers? His answer for why HR was more an answer to “why no more IT”. Honestly, this does not provide an “hr orientation” which is looked for in the interview, in this question and in others. This is a great initiative, but my concern is you are going to prime the students.

TRUE, especially the ROI part, There are certain facts we as candidates might look at it and those might be known by the panelists too, but telling it outrightly to them is definitely not the way to go about it.

Gd/pi is one of the toughest to crack. With this answers its not possible at all. Very general answers.

i watched but surprisingly it seems to be very unrealistic interview video. As in one question Why TISS ? . He is talking about ROI basically placement and alumni which TISS knows so this is not appropriate answer as any interviewer will not like this perspective.
So what according to you should be an appropriate ans?
I agree that he should'nt have said about ROI but what's wrong in alumni network?

Hi Trinath, Since we are a management education platform, we focus on HRM program at TISS Mumbai.
I have some questions. If we see his academic profile, its quite average compared to those scoring 90(+) %. Secondly, his interview was kind of okayish. I'm not really judging but that's what I understood while watching the interviews of other candidates.
Given the very limited number of seats in TISS HR LM, can one really secure a seat with average marks and interview?
TISS does not give any weightage to academics. The selection process is based only on the exam and the interviews.

If an organisation has disgruntled employees begging for settlement..you need to first ensure settlement is done quickly and effectively and then hope for delivery. Dissatisfied workforce can never deliver any project, let alone critical

It is ok for candidates to put hand on table while interview. My teacher told it's inappropriate.

how to justify when aspirants applied for TISS HRMLR and other 2 top courses based on placement but there is no relevance in those courses.

Well I have 10th - 85%, 12th - 60%, and Currently pursuing B. TECH in Biomedical Engineering (6th Sem),
I would be appearing for TISSNET in my Final Year (2020).
So do I have a change to get into TISS even after clearing TISSNET with such a low profile?
If you are persuing btech it would be better if you appear for CAT

I am solely focused on pursuing HRM, So it's going be Either XLRI or TISS.
But my first preference is TISS.
XISS ranchi is also a good college for HR . U can get there with such marks

If this is indeed a recreation of an actual interview that landed the candidate a seat at TISS, I worry not only for the reputation of TISS, but for the kind of HR personnel coming out of that institute. Hopefully, the course corrected this "experienced" candidate's authoritarian and anti-labor method of asking his colleagues to get the work done first and then expect to get their outstanding dues settled; something that was their right in the first place.
It is important to note that the recreated interview may not necessarily reflect the actual interview process or practices of TISS. Additionally, it is important to assess the interviewee's qualifications, skills, and fit for the role and organization, rather than solely on the performance in the recreated interview
