Bruh, when I tell you the hopscotch scene takes me out every time I see it, I mean it, along with the line. It's a diabolical beauty everytime.
There are a few references in the dark scene where the Drake impersonator is creeping up on Kendrick. The overall frame is a nod to the scene from the Family Matters vid. Drake is wearing a Shiesty Mask in the Toosie Slide video and on the cover of the Dark Lane Demo Tapes. But the most underrated moment is when he fly's in the air upon approaching Kenny. That moment is a nod to Millie Bobby Browns character 11 in Stranger Things, where she throws her opponents by telekinesis.

Personally, I think the shipping containers are more of a reflection of the music industry as a whole. Kinda how the industry packages, ships, and sells talent and culture to the masses.
Kendrick and them other foos are the same but different. Thats why they start off at the "same level". However, eventually, the homies' "gain higher ground"(revenue), but they are still moving units for others first. Thats why they are in the container.
Where Kendrick is different is that he makes his own moves. What's why the containers are "clean".
That's also why and specifically when you see Dave Free and Kendrick dap each other up. Because they choose what they ship. They choose how and when to move.
