When I worked at canes sometimes I enjoyed making orders like this because it was satisfying to watch the plates go from nothing to something then box them up and send them out. It was fun sometimes felt like a video game

Worked at one in Wisconsin, management fell apart, but my coworkers were great. Once the good workers left and covid it was never the same. Tony, Dan, Keshan, Joseph, Edwar, Leean, Leena, Kristina, Casey, and big Charles thanks for the memories and making the work bearable. The fresh fries were something else as well.

She's probably smart but this repetitive task, once you're trained to do it, doesn't require any more brain power to keep doing it. Once you got it down, you're pretty much on autopilot and your biggest challenge is doing it quickly, not falling behind.

Portillo is a gem, I wish they would branch out to other states as well. Their beef with giardinaro half drenched is god tier. Their crinkle cut fries and ribs is just added happiness. Edit: I had no idea that a Portillo opened in so many states. Big relief for someone who is moving to Texas! Thank you for your enlightment!
They just opened in Texas last fall. I ate at portillos in the Chi when visiting for a family reunion in 2017. Good food and that beef sandwich either au jus goes hard. My Wife kept asking me for a "bite". Yeah😂 I ended ordering my own since the first one became hers. 😅😂 ! We also ate ice cream from oberweis. I went there at least twice more. I believe it was the Lakeview location. Chicago is a beautiful place with good people despite the media attention. We plan to return some day.

My Wife kept asking me for a "bite". Yeah😂 I ended ordering my own since the first one became hers. 😅😂 ! We also ate ice cream from oberweis. I went there at least twice more. I believe it was the Lakeview location. Chicago is a beautiful place with good people despite the media attention. We plan to return some day.
