Great job on the video!! As someone who lived there, it’s great, if you want to settle down. If you’re a new comer to Canada, Fredericton is a great place to start. It will be very representative of what you’re to expect across the country. However, be aware of what you are getting into. Winters are notoriously unpredictable and long. Keep up the good work :)

Nice vlog, Ms. Ricey. It's very informative. Can you also make a vlog comparing NB vs Alberta? I think these are the 2 most attractive places to live in including NS. But i would like to get info on AB and NB comparison.
Great video. I'm supposed to move to Canada summer 2023, as an international student. I'm a family of 3 my husband, son and I will be moving to Moncton.
I think New Brunswick is better for raising a family since it's more peaceful. I lived in Ontario all my life. It's not just the major cities that are stressful and hectic, but even the smaller ones.
Ms Rice, you mentioned construction materials being more expensive in New Brunswick due to lower economies of scale vs. Ontario's and I wonder how much higher is that cost of material there? 10% higher or a lot more? Could you elaborate on that? In particular, things like ready-mix cement and sales taxes on construction materials. Thank you.
The houses I have seen that got the asking price of 250K, were either houses that needed fixing up, contaminated with nicotine, and wouldn't meet building codes in some other provinces. The best you will find a "nice" house for 250K is in Saint John, but you will have to put up with the pollution and stink of it that comes from two sources - Canada's largest oil refinery, and a pulp mill.
I think I've fallen in love with New Brunswick. I just don't like stress. From your explanation, it appears Ontario is as congested as Lagos, Nigeria. A serene environment guarantees long life. A chaotic environment is a turn off for me. Thanks for the video

Hi Ricey! It's been my dream to migrate to Canada and to spend the rest of my earthly days there. I'm a 65-year-old single dad of 4 kids, ages 27, 25, 14 and 12. I'm seriously considering to settle down in New Brunswick and hope to find an employer who will be kind enough to sponsor visa not only for me but also for my kids, primarily those below 18 years old. I hear that New Brunswick has some concerns. 1. New Brunswick has the highest Radon Gas levels in Canada. I hear that when you buy a home the you must sign a waiver that you understand that you may have this gas in your house. 2. Most of the province is spray several times a year with glyphosate ( round up). This is done in the forests with helicopters and or planes. 3. New Brunswick has that Neurological brain disease that has affected around 38 people 6 of which has died. These things are a big concern. I was wondering if it is safe to live there?
May I know which city in NB are you living? Thinking to move as well to NB but I heard if you’re not careful you might wind up living in a French speaking community. Also there is poor internet access and most importantly, a lack of medical specialists. Can you also enlighten us about this?
There is a lack of specialists and the wait time to see them can be very long. My wife had to wait two years to see one; same specialist in BC took less than 6 months. The actual wait time was estimated at 3 years for my wife in NB to see the specialist, but due to cancelations, she got to see the specialist in two years. It took us two years just to get a Nurse Practitioner in NB, and that was because my wife pulled strings. Our poor neighbour went to his family doctor many times for over one year with symptoms of pain in his lower back, no appetite, and being weak a lot; they just brushed him off from being old; the only test they did was a stress test. He learned he had cancer two weeks before he died a painful death, but he had the cancer for at least 8 months.
@@rps1689 I’m very sorry to hear that. I’m planning to settle hopefully next year but I’m in the process of doing a research on where is the best province to settle. Seems every province has its own pros and cons.

not true
The care is almost on par with other better provinces, but it is the access to primary healthcare that is not good.
