Fir me personally, this is my definitive classic Ironman. There are a couple of flaws, but overall, its everything I am looking for.

I love the inclusion of the two types of faceplates and the option to have blank black eyepieces or eyepieces with visible eyes underneath

Man, I’m not a comic hero collector of figures but your reviews are making me want to get these bad boys. Your lighting is exquisite and really showcases these figures in such good detail. I can’t get over how beautiful this figure is and how beautiful you displayed it. Your photography is top notch stuff, it really is!
I already have the iron man AI ml but im tempting to buy this iron man because its the definitive iron man in classic form
Man his articulation is amazing, when I see figures like this being that articulated with those ankle rockers cause to me u have to have that in order to get those dynamic pose why can't sh figuarts do the same I've noticed alot of their figures have gr8 articulation except for ankle rockers...thanx for the video 👍

If you're a fan of the classic comic look, it doesn't get much better than this!
I know a lot of people have been getting this figure with a loose neck joint: nothing deal breaking, but it is noticeably loose
Looks fantastic though: definitely a great tribute to Iron Man as he was drawn by Bob Layton
Great review! The butterfly joints do look a little weird. It should be red but the circle around the arm of the vest should move with it too to give the proper look. Maybe it was too difficult to engineer.
The red and yellow does indeed look cheap but the figure absolutely does not feel that way. The smooth efficiency of the articulation on Mafex figures is enough for me to justify getting this over the 20th or AI Iron Man
I have the ML ToyBiz 20th anniversary version but wow this looks great. I'd buy it if it wasn't broke lol
I'm missing a Venom in my collection though so I may have to cop that Mafex one when I can 👀

I don't understand why the neck is not detailled like the gauntlets and the boots with the lines?...

This really is the best classic Iron Man figure... if you don't already have any of the Marvel Legends offerings which are just as good imo, some of the accessories in this are a case of "you didn't need to do that", especially the Proton Cannon which is actually way bigger in MvC 2 and the Legends version got it right compared to Mafex. But really there are so many good Iron Man figures out, it doesn't hurt to have another but this guy isn't a must get.
