I've been playing Monopoly Deal a lot since the start of pandemic. I absolutely love this game - fast pace and short, lots of interactions, easy to play but complex enough to build your own strategy, and can be chaotic. My friend has the Hong a Kong expansion (discontinued and very rare) and they added more fun cards. Because of how often I play with my friends (group of 4-5 during pandemic), we started adding our own custom cards for more strategy and chaos. I highly recommend: closed bank (face down), 4 different sets to win, house/hotel can be used from your bank, and rotating/moving of wild properties consumes 1 of your 3 actions during that turn. Let me know how you like this recommendation after you've played it!
@@BoardGameSanctuary I'm sure eBay is a start since it has been discontinued. Google it and you can probably see what extra cards it comes with. Off the top of my head: Go to jail: target player skips his next turn Speeding fine: select 2 player to discard a card from their hand Double sly deal: take 2 properties from one player (not from full sets) Inheritance: take one card from another player's hand Pay my rent: select a player to pay your rent (reaction card like just say no) The good thing about the Hong Kong edition is that it comes with both English and Chinese text on each card.
Very good video. Looks like I might need to get Monopoly Deal at some point. Like the shirt too! How about reviewing my favorite Monopoly board game, Monopoly Empire.
Seems? It's different not complicated. It's what some would call a 'train game', a game you can play on the fly without having the space to setup a board.
@@alextrecartin Not sure I would call it a train game. For example Uno is easy for that because you only need a draw deck and a space to play your cards, whereas here you need to setup your cards in front of you and that takes up a lot more space

Wow I did not know there was an expansion. How do I find it?

I agree with your video. My wife and I have been playing this nonstop during the pandemic and it’s been great. The tips you mentioned were great
I'm surprised this game is not more popular than it is, it seems more fun than Uno or Phase 10
Just tried, very fast and fun. Solved the length of time needed to play the original version.
I love Monopoly Deal! Nice video. Really like your shirt! :)
Thanks so much! Yoshi is really cool!

It’s such a fun game! I was skeptical at first, but no joke, it’s my new favorite card game.
Excellent video, love you joking around :D
Thank you this helped me understand the game a bit more
Seems more fun than the board game, but I'll miss the beautiful metal pieces
You could just own both because they do play very differently. Monopoly Deal is more portable so easier to carry when going on holiday.
If I hold a set of property cards in my hand and place them down, does that count as one action?
Yes placing a property down is an action.
I believe each card is an individual action.
Wait this game has counterspells?! I’m in.
Yep Counter Spells!
Can you do monopoly the card game
It’s different from monopoly deal and there isn’t a tutorial for monopoly the card game on RUclips
Nice video
this sounds like fun!
This got rebranded as monopoly the card game
no way! I didn't know that. Its such a fun game though!
No, I have both games, Monopoly Deal is NOT Monopoly The Card Game.
Seems very complicated, yet boring. I will stick to the original board game.
The exact opposite, actually, it's brilliantly fun and easy to understand.
It's easy...and much better than the original. Still a mean game, not to be taken too seriously.
