    What type of grinding wheel is the one you recommended? Looks like it has 3 parts to it.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 года назад +1

      I recommend them all for various different jobs, but the most versatile is the flap wheel. The one I use with three parts consists of a hard backing plate, a stiff sanding pad and a nut/washer. It's good for accuracy.

      I noticed the flaps grind faster. Very surprising. I'll look out for the 3 piece. Thanks

    • @thebearmaster
      @thebearmaster 2 года назад

      The 4.5” flap wheels are getting expensive and dull up fast, the three piece sands flatter for pennies per disc.

    Great videos, it will be very helpful on a 73 Chevy project I'm starting. I've never used the patch panel clamps before, how does the bottom portion of the clamp come out once your welds are in place?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 года назад +1

      Once you have the panels secured with a weld, you simply unscrew the clamp and the little rod falls out of the back. You'll need a way to access the panel from behind to recover the rod.

    • @chrisanderson6869
      @chrisanderson6869 3 года назад +2

      Yes I see the videos, but it's more of the 70s model. I do like what y'all are doing so thanks for that, and I have a question about the speedometer cable. 1. How do u know which cable is bad? 2. How do u tell if the speedometer is bad?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 года назад +2

      @@chrisanderson6869 Spin both cables to see which one is binding. If the speedo is bad you can tell by spinning it backwards at a consistent speed and see if it bounces or does anything weird.

    Are aftermarket doors a good option to just replace than try to repair a lot of rust? I heard mixed reviews on the fit and finish.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Год назад

      Aftermarket doors are an excellent option for door with a lot of rust. Back in the day, fit and finish was an issue, but that was 20 years ago. Some vendors still carry that old stuff because it's cheap, but stick with a vendor you trust and you'll be fine. We've installed reproduction doors that fit better than the original did.
