I agree… it’s been challenging to find an American wife. I married an American woman and I was completely miserable and it didn’t last. We ended up getting a divorce. The one thing that I felt like when I was married to this woman was I was nothing but a paycheck. I believe that’s why she decided to marry me because of my income only. I want love. True love.

It always surprises me how how Filipina's who are still young know what they think is important in life. They have really thought about it and know what they want and if that situation happens they will will happily get married. Most Western women at her age have no idea what they want. Money was not an issue when I got together with my wife. She knew I was doing ok, but just not how 'ok'. We dated for a while but then she experienced some problems with her employers - we lived in HK - so I promised her that if she wanted to leave her work, I would support her whatever happened between us. We are around the same age so it's not a case of my exploiting a young girl or her using me for financial benefit. Anyway, eight years down the line we are now settled in the Philippines, with a family, property, a business and a decent income. Our meeting, which was purely by chance, has changed both our lives.

It is a very consistent message that Filipinas give: Their family comes first. I am a Conservative Catholic American who was brought up in a Conservative Family with old-fashioned values and a patriotic conviction for my Nation, so I can understand this aspect of Filipino Culture, but there is a big difference: I have been taught that the Husband/Wife relationship comes first, siblings afterward; Filipinas are family first.....if a Filipina and an American can meet halfway, the marriage should go the distance....

It is helping in some case when it comes to Philippine family but in other cases it can be disabling where able people sit and watch tv and wait for you to give knowing they are taken advantage and using reasons (excuses to keep things that way). This holds down the bread winner from doing other things that could possibly help family in a greater way in the long run. It’s good to help family but you must set boundaries allowing yourself to soar greater so you can make greater contributions when needed. Hope this makes sense. Speaking from experience my wife has learned and now sees how valuable setting boundaries and sticking to them has allowed her to excel her family further. If she gave every time they ask she would have nothing to help in emergencies for trying to keep up with their wants and needs and seeing that now she is prepared for those moments. Help them to earn for themselves build them to become self sufficient if they are physically able. That is how your family becomes collectively strong.

Finding a man who has money is a bonus! Well, a bonus goes both ways. The man has money and the girls have great looks. I think more that love is in the hearts of both parties and honesty without there having to be a monetary bonus. Having said that, there are a lot of beautiful women in the Philippines and many have their hearts and minds in the right place too. I saw a picture of my wife from a beauty pageant and then I took the first flight to where she lives, you can't just sit and wait for things to resolve themselves, you have to be quick on the trigger. It's been 12 years and 2 beautiful children since I met her the first time, I'm lucky. My advice is to meet the person you are interested in and see what qualities she has apart from a beautiful face and body.

When a woman is cooperative, submissive, friendly and feminine it is a Western mans pleasure to give her a happy life. Any woman that changes and starts taking a man for granted is when a man should leave. Don't change who you are as a man and don't put up with her when she changes. Give yourself love and give it to her. Make her feel safe and don't compromise your position as a man. I have had a couple of Filipina relationships and you will notice the stares. It typically is not because you are a Western man, it's out of jealousy. Even the Filipinas family and friends will be jealous of her, not just strangers. But you will always have to remember that there is no benefit in marriage for any man.

    • @BP7BlackPearl
      @BP7BlackPearl Год назад

U dared to use the S word, submissive. There is benefit for the man to be married. It makes ur wife feel more secure, just for starters, and if she feels more secure, its better for u. I am assuming u want to have, and/or find a woman to b with til the end. If not, then nvm.

In general, filipinas stick to their husbands in sickness or in health. In richness and in poor.
My aunt married a german who later developed dementia. The husband would be outside, get lost and my aunt had to work 2 jobs to support their half filipina german daughter and her husband. She would have 3 hours of sleep as she has to clean her husband after work. What a strong woman.
Never left the german guy, stayed with hima and took care of him.

As long as they have sufficient funds to accommodate family. This kind of thinking comes from people who do not have enough knowledge about filipinas. People who think that filipinas only want money from foreigners and they want the foreigners to shoulder their family's expenses.
      Simply stupid.
While it is true that some pinays marry foreigners to escape poverty, the fact that some of them don't care about money shouldn't be dismissed.
Women in the west, especially in the US are downright money hungry and worst, making the first date like a job application, asking men what do they do, what car they drive and how much is the annual salary etc.
Pinay women don't even care about the car you drive and income, just respect them and you will be fine.
I know a pinay who comea from a well off family, has maids and her family has businesses. She married to an ugly american but they look happy.

Now, she might not remember how many properties she owns. Relatives and others who treated her poorly before now have on occasion, asked to borrow some money and she is clearly wealthy compared to any of them, but she is still kind. I would like to know if Christie's German husband supports her old parents, one thousand siblings, ten thousand cousins, aunts and uncles, one million neighbors and a water buffalo in the province. Most foreigner, white husbands from Australia, Canada, Europe, US and New Zealand do this. It's a lifelong commitment for the foreigner grandfather husband.

I always look for personal accountability in my romantic partners. And when I don’t see it, it’s a big red flag.

I feel that “maturity” is a “go to” word and doesn’t explain things well. Rather each person is at a place in life with compelling desires. For a older expat he wants to settle down and so do many Filipinas who had bad experiences with Pinoy. I cringe when girls say they “mature”
faster when it’s really about what suits their needs for a man.

I found a Filipina online , i thought she was a scammer cause about 2 weeks of chatting she said that she likes me and im now her boyfriend, we video call and chatting each other for 1 year then i decided to meet her, i wasnt expecting to see her cause she might disappear but she was there waiting at the airport, the next day we went to her parents house but all of them ( her family) knew me 😂, i was panicking cause she never showed me her family, then while eating they were asking me about my diploma , work , family and her dad said : WELL, WHAT IS YOUR PLAN FOR MY DAUGHTER ? The room was completely muted😮, i just said that i want to marry her and be part of the family, they were so happy, and in the evening my pinay came to my hotel and said now i trust you and i want to make love with you😅😅😅. Hehehe good vibe until i saw blood😢, i dont like blood then i fainted😂😂. I didn't know she was still virgin, i was happy to know that then my trust and respect for her was high level, now we are married with kids😂😂😂.

I’m not being funny or rude or anything Maya, but I would like to ask, why do pinays cover there face, especially there smile when they first start laughing. I have always been curious about that. I have watched so many videos of pinays and it almost always happen at least when they first start laughing. Is it a cultural thing or some kind of insecurity at first?

From the US and retired and my girlfriend is 31 years younger at 40. I have a financial arrangement for her. In good health and very physical active. Here in the USA I could get attacked by a rabid dog anti-Trump POS or a pot smoking drunk drugie could run over me and kill me. So the age gape is only in people's minds.
