    Okay, quick question:
Since the Aishi Disease is not a Japanese-Aishi-exclusive thing, as suggested by the fact that it originated from outside of Japan, does that mean that there are other families in other countries with the same disease? Does the disease mutate overtime like the Aishi version or does everyone experience the same symptoms? Are any of those distant carriers related to the cast of Yandere Simulator?
    Idk YandereDev, just curious.

The way I imagine it, the Aishi Condition has been restricted to Japan since it began.
I suppose it's possible that some cousin or aunt of Ryoba might have moved outside of Japan, thereby bringing at least one generation of the condition outside of Japan, but I honestly never think about this possibility.

I have always imagined the "Aishi effect" as a hereditary mental disease. And the finding of Senpai is not connected with his special bloodline, but is activated by a friendly attitude towards Aishi at a certain age.
The bloodline of natural born killers... Heh, the Hitman Family, but appeared in the course of natural selection.

The current Imperial Household Law (forced on Japan by America after WW2) bans women from the Throne. That's why there was a looming succession crisis until 2006 when the current Emperor's brother had a son. There _were_ Empresses Regnant in the distant past, but most are "legendary". Most Japanese pre-'06 supported changing the law to let Princess Aiko become Empress if needed. Anyway, I doubt the highly matriarchal Aishi Clan would let _that_ tradition stand.

They probably would until their daughter is born. Once the child is born, with exception of assassinating their Senpai, they would probably do anything to give their child an advantageous opportunity to find their senpai’s. The basis is from Yandere Dev’s description of Ryoba’s view of Ayano, which is her being the result of her and her husbands love. (Disregarding the idea their child is a male)

    Script:
Hello! I'm here today to answer a question that was asked by one of my patrons on Patreon.
    His question was:
    It was an interesting question,
and I had fun considering the answer!
In fact, I put so much thought into it that I decided to turn my answer into a video!
    Let's begin!
The Aishi family is a bloodline that is characterized by a mysterious hereditary condition.
Members of this bloodline are plagued with a perpetual feeling of being empty, hollow, and incomplete.
    They are emotionally numb,
and cannot experience life the same way that normal people do.
There is no known cure for this condition...
...but, there is one thing that can temporarily allow an Aishi to feel normal.
    For some mysterious reason,
a very small number of people are able to trigger something called "The Senpai Effect"
when coming into physical contact with a member of the Aishi bloodline.
    While experiencing the Senpai Effect,
an Aishi will no longer feel numb, empty, or hollow.
She will feel complete for the first time.
She will feel alive for the first time.
This will cause the Aishi to develop a deep physical and psychological dependence
on the person who triggers these feelings inside of her.
An addiction more powerful than any drug.
An Aishi who is experienced the Senpai effect
will become willing to do absolutely anything to possess that person and stay by their side forever.
I know exactly how the Aishi condition works, and how it came into existence...
...but the details are some pretty big spoilers,
so I won't be revealing the information anytime soon.
The only thing I'll say is that the first woman to experience the Aishi condition...
...a woman who I call "The First Aishi"...
...was not born in Japan, but migrated to Japan in 1796.
So, what exactly was the Aishi family doing between 1796 and modern-day?
Well, many of them were serial killers, exactly like Ayano and Ryoba.
Once they encountered someone who triggered the Senpai effect,
they became yandere and killed anyone else who loved that person.
This means that most members of the Aishi bloodline
developed the skills necessary to get away with murder and avoid detection by authorities.
Thus, most Aishi probably worked as assassins or spies.
I imagine that the Aishi family tried very hard to stay in the shadows,
and had no wish whatsoever to be recorded in Japanese history.
    But...what if they didn't have a choice?
What if a member of the Japanese Imperial family triggered the Senpai effect in an Aishi?
What if an Aishi made it her life's goal to marry into the Japanese imperial family...
    ...and she succeeded?
What if an Aishi born into the Japanese imperial family eventually inherited the throne,
and became the reigning empress of Japan?
Well, the Aishi family doesn't know how their condition originated,
ut they do know that they have a soulmate,
and that they will feel empty until they find him.
So, as the ruling family of the nation,
they would come up with some way to expedite their encounter with their soulmate.
    For example: as Japan's ruler,
the Empress Aishi could announce that
all men in the Japanese capital city must attend a mandatory ceremony
where they must pledge their allegiance to the country's princess
by touching her hand one by one.
This ceremony would allow a young Aishi to come into physical contact
with thousands of men, which would eventually result in finding someone who triggers the Senpai effect.
The empress could then use her authority
to invent some arbitrary reason for that man to
live with the imperial family from that day onwards.
In other words, if Aishi family became the most powerful family in Japan,
they could invent an effective systematic method for discovering their Senpai
without publicly revealing the true nature of their condition or attracting any suspicion.
This means that, once in a position of power,
the Aishi bloodline would probably never need to become serial killers or develop murder skills ever again...
...unless they decide to pass down their assassination knowledge to each new generation in secret.
Anyway, if the Aishi family replaced the imperial family of Japan,
they would discover their senpai's through imperial ceremonies,
rather than relying on happenstance in school settings.
This means that, if the Aishi family was royalty,
the game's storyline as we know it would probably never happen.
That's the answer to the question from the beginning of this video.
I owe everything to the people who are supporting me on Patreon!
So, whenever one of my patrons asks me a question,
I tried to answer with as much detail as possible.
I won't make an elaborate video to answer every question that a patron asks me,
but if your question is especially interesting and I think it would be very fun to answer,
you might just get a video like this one.
Thank you for following the development of -
    ...wait a minute.
    This video wasn't about development...
    ...alright, then. In that case,
Thank you for following the hypothetical alternate timeline lore of Yandere Simulator.

(Note: this comment assumes realism, which I know is not entirely prevalent across Yan Sim. This is just to challenge myself to Find A Way.)
Ok I am looking up (aka Wikipedia-browsing, so this may not be the most accurate information) stuff about inheritance regarding the Japanese imperial family. Points that stand out:
-Duties of the Emperor are passed down the line to their male children.
-The Empress is the consort of the Emperor.
-Mako Komuro, oldest daughter of Crown Prince Akishino, gave up her imperial title and left the imperial family as required by the Imperial Household Law of 1947, due to her marriage to a commoner.
-The line of succession detailed in the Imperial Household Law only mentions male individuals: sons, brothers, uncles.
Therefore, if an Aishi's senpai was in the imperial family after 1947, she would not join the imperial family. However, before 1947, we can probably play with this a bit more. If an 1800s Aishi married into the imperial family, her Aishi daughters would be unable to be the Emperor (well, Empress), but Aishi women are strong-willed, and I could totally see Empress Aishi (consort to the Emperor) pushing for a ceremony like the one described in the video for her daughter(s). If Ayano's parents are an indicative sample, the Emperor may very well agree to it. This would have to continue down the lines, and be careful! Since the imperial succession is male-only, the female line would become more difficult to keep track of over time unless the Aishi women dedicated themselves to doing so. Like. Tracing lineages is a pain, and usually only royals do it, and as royal descendants marry "lesser" nobles and get closer to commoners, they tend to stop tracking. Also, royals seem to have lots of children, so there would be so many Aishis running around.

    • @YandereArchive
      @YandereArchive  2 года назад +19

Fair point. I see three potential outcomes if an Aishi became obsessed with someone in the imperial family:
      1. Aishi forces her soulmate to give up his imperial title to marry a commoner.
      2. Aishi finds a way to steal the identity of a woman somewhere in the "court nobility" social structure, and marries into the royal family while impersonating someone that was part of the aristocracy.
      3. Aishi finds a way to pressure the emperor into re-writing the laws so that the marriage she desires wouldn't require her soulmate to give up his imperial title.

I think that I have used the term "First Aishi" inconsistently...
The woman who migrated to Japan arrived in 1796, but didn't have a child until 1797.
The migratory woman was the origin point of the Aishi Condition, and was the first person to use the surname "Aishi". However, her daughter was the first person to actually experience the Aishi Condition.
Sometimes I refer to the woman who came to Japan as the "First Aishi", because she used the name first, and sometimes I refer to *her child* as the "First Aishi", because she was "patient zero" for the Aishi Condition.
It's complicated, and I look forward to the day I can lay it out in plain language, but I don't want to spoil the surprise just yet...

Question: Were there ever Aishis who DIDN'T have love rivals? I'm sure not every one of them would have love rivals. Still, there might be obstacles, but they wouldn't necessarily be those who are also in love with the Senpai/Love Interest

Nice to meet you. I am a university student in Japan. I love your game since early 2015!(♡ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈) (Sorry if there are strange places because I use the translation function;;)
I'm not good at English, so I'm following the story of your game with a Japanese translation posted by a Japanese RUclipsr.
Also, I thought that if I translated the question from now on as it is, the delicate nuances would change, so I will post it in Japanese.
Summarizing the requirements that I wanted to convey after watching the video
・For a game set in Japan, the historical research was a little strange from a Japanese perspective.
・If you don't mind, please tell me if it's "my idea, Japan's history is like this" or "I want to follow the historical facts because I want to show reality"
    These are the two points.
    ꒰ঌ(っ˘꒳˘c)‪໒꒱

Of course there would be. Its probably impossible for multiple Aishi's to be born with this condition and them all being female, or multiple kids being born and only one of them (which would be the girl) having the condition. What I'm guessing is that all the kids probably have the condition as a part of the bloodline, and a boy was probably born once too which he would've had the condition.

    1. What would happend if the Senpai was also a Yandere?
    2. It's possibile that two or more Aishis (for example siblings or cousins) can feel to the same Senpai?
    3. And last thing that I think about for years: What would happend if Aishi's family for some reason decide to stood on their way to the one Aishi's Senpai? Would they treat their family just like the rivals or other enemies?

not the developer but there's a webcomic (stalker x stalker) that answers al these questions. hypothetically:
      1. if two yanderes trigger each other the senpai effect, they will get along and love each other, but would still eliminate any possible obstacle
      2. Two aishis falling in love w the same senpai would probably make their senpai agree to be the bf/gf of both contemporary
      3. considering yandere sim universe, probably this scenario would not be possible, bc due to the hereditary condition, the yandere parent would be happy for their kid, and whatever the opinion of the senpai parent is doesn't matter

I think I have a theory on how the Aishi Condition came to existence.
I’m guessing the original Aishis were West African or Middle Eastern, where witchcraft and sorcery is very prominent.
The first Aishi may have gotten into a feud with someone with a high temper, and they cursed her whole bloodline with this condition.
I’m going to assume that the first Aishi didn’t know that she had already gotten cursed since she already met the love of her life, but she was afraid that she was in harms way, so her and her husband moved to Japan, far away from her enemy.

Here's a new idea: what if Ayano was alive during WWII?
It would be hard for her to get a senpai when most of them are out fighting. Moreover, her methods of eliminating rivals would have to differ greatly due to the circumstances. The WWII-era specific methods might include, but are not limited to:
      - framing a rival for treason against Japan (e.g. planting American propaganda or a weapon used to kill a Japanese soldier, painting an enemy flag).
      - framing Allied forces for that rival's death ("Those American scumbags shot that good-for-nothing homewre... I mean that poor nurse!")
      - tricking the Americans into bombing a rival's position (by sending them false intel convincing them that their love rival is actually crucial to the Japanese war effort)
      - getting them transferred to a more dangerous position - or at least away from senpai.
      - (if any Germans are visiting) out the rival as a Jew.
      - (if the rival works at a factory) arranging a workplace accident
      * BEWARE: if the senpai works there as well, Aishi must not kill him in the process.
If she's out in the front lines, would she be useful against the Americans or would she focus more on assassinating HER OWN countrymen - or women? What do you think would happen to a WWII-era Aishi?
P.S. It may also be the REASON the Aishis are so messed up in the first place. The first psychotic Aishi could have been an atom bomb survivor who became psychotic as a result of radiation poisoning.

Multiple times, you said "she" as a main pronoun when describing what happens with the Aishi family and you mentioned in a different video that no, it's not exclusively a trait/heritage thing given to just female family members but now I wonder; Is the Aishi condition more common with females than males? This could be me just overthinking since the only members of the family with the condition we've seen so far have been females (Ryoba and Ayano) but now I want to know.
