Gingium finally leveled up from Rustoleum flat black/wrinkle black to powder coat, crazy to see the progress over the last 8 years from a driveway to a shop that was basically built from the ground up
Rustoleum flat black will always have a special place in my heart, but powder coat is on another level. The best part is I don't have to wait 24 hours to reinstall the part! Excited to keep getting new tools and leveling up!
@_Gingium_ buddy, I watched you since the forza days years ago. Your first car was the blobeye wagon, which has a special place in my heart. You will always be my favorite content creator over anyone else on the car scene. You went from knowing nothing at all about Fab work to creating your own sleeper, drift truck, the subaru miata!!!. Keep up the awesome work you do.
the build itself is really cool but im just totally uninterested in drifting. i watch most of the other stuff he posts. 1uz is a really sweet engine so I want to like the build but I am into autox, track, and just grip driving in general
I agree this is my favorite build going on currently. Especially sence it's pretty much exactly what I want to do except with a late 80s toyota pickup but more of a grip setup and a legit widebody
honestly i didnt even got notifications about this video or the last 2! i only realized they existed because i searched for the channel. it seems the youtube algorithm is screwing up gingium.
love how the kid couldn’t stop smiling when riding in the truck with you. he’s just happy to be there and you are giving him core memories that he will remember for the rest of his life. keep up the great content!
For the little heater, you may want to add a high/low switch into them. Either some sort of resistor setup, or a fancy PWM digital thing. Maybe even a switch so you can turn the fan on separately from the heater. When its 100*f out with no AC, every little bit of airflow helps.
I’ve said it before, I’ll just say it again. This thing has come along way from angle mods and a hydro. To say the least, you’ve built an awesome truck!🤙🏻
I really like the fact that you took the extra steps to make the drift truck as streetable as possible. The heater, the dashboard etc. I feel like a lot of people make their project cars so miserable to drive that they barely drive them. Hopefully I'll be getting my own project car soon and get to experience the fun of building it out hahaha
A while back you had a poll on Patreon to decide if you should make videos that get better metrics/exposure or the drift truck. Whatever you choose, your subscribers will follow and support so don’t be discouraged from doing what you wanna do. Truck is absolutely bad ass 🤙
A quick recommendation from me is to get a smaller steering wheel. I swapped from a 370mm to a 320mm steering wheel and it has made drifting so much easier because my hands have to move much less to provide the same inputs. Depending on the length of your arms, I'd recommend something between 320 and 350mm, although I personally think smaller is better :)
god damn, on the road to 1 million? where did that ~50k that i joined you on your journy go? you've done some amazing work, you deserve every subscriber and like you get
lol i saw you filming this, when you turned by the checkers i was waiting at the light! was so cool to see the truck on the road. havent seen it since fall double down last year.
an idea for the custom widebody, you can cut at the body line and make a 'spacer' metal sheet to fill the gap and widen while still keep the stock fender lines at the end on the wheels
I think theres something to say about just how far gingium has come from the early video game days. I remember watching when even the forza videos wernt the complete main focus of the channel yet, and it was a mix of fps games and the crew. Then came the slow transition to real life car content. Its simply amazing how far hes come as an all around tradesman. Like if theres anyone that gives me hope that one day I can build cars half this rad, its definitely Caleb
Just a tip for you if you do a second coat of powder coat, shoot it hot, put it in the oven to burn off any oil and the second layer will stick better.
I understand that this is a drift truck/daily driver. In my opinion, the rear would look awesome with some sort of widebody also, at least the rear width matching the front width.
I wonder what colour he will go with-- I really thought this truck was sick when he made the first version of it, just with the v8--- man, it's come a LONG way.
I’ve been watching you off and on for a little over 7 years. Congrats bro you’ve came far af!!! I had the first lifted nb2 in my state bc of you back in the day
FYI - for optimal defrosting, you need to have an evaporator (A/C) to dehumidify the air blowing onto the windshield, otherwise the water vapor will condense and cause fogging. It is actually a federal requirement for the AC to turn on automatically when the defrost is activated in a normal car (FMVSS). The PTC (positive thermal coefficient) heater you have may work in georgia, but may also cause more fogging if the cabin air isn't dehumidified. Love the work you did on the interior though, looks awesome.
Overall, I really like how the drift truck has turned out.. I, for one, also love how the front looks with the bolt on fender flairs. That looks mean AF and I dig it.
Let’s gooo, the journey this truck has been through, that you’ve been through and have taken us along for the ride has been epic. I always think back to your gaming days modifying cars on Forza and drifting around in crazy cars to now building your own, epic journey man glad to have been able to watch it 👌
How do you not have 1 million subs yet? You definitely deserve it. You do awesome builds and make great videos and have a fun personality and have the visually appealing shop. Its the whole recipe i dont get it. Maybe you just need to find a way to do a collab with cleetus or LZ or somthing? I definitely think this is an under rated channel especially after seeing what you did with the eclipse that was some serious fab work especially for one young dude with the limited tools. It seemed like somthing that would take a shop full of professional car builders with all the tools and experience to build.
Gingium! I know you're probably going to eventually do it anyways, but DO NOT PAINT THAT TRUCK!!! I think that Mazda you have built there, is the SICKKKEST looking thing on 4 wheels I've ever seen. The red and black mismatch really goes together well, and the white rollcage and wheels are a nice accent. Interior is super clean, and Love those clear taillights and front marker lights. Great build, my guy! Can't wait to see it go sideways!
I'm in love with this truck. Bro the dash turned out so sick. Ur videos are great. Been waiting 2 weeks, I thought something happen and I was worried. Glad this came out. Look forward to them every Sunday. 1st thing I do out of bed is look to see if they are posted. 😂😂
Love seeing a Mazda B series getting some fabrication and ford powertrain! I loved my 93 B long bed, extended cab in the 90's, but it had no power. I did have 8 -18's in it though with an old skool snug top. Shit hit hard but it was slow and low.
I recommend a product called Sandtex, it is fool proof on anything. It has a super fine texture with a low gloss shine. Incredibly durable and has Teflon or something in it which makes the finish super slick despite the texture.
Caleb I don’t even build cars, or mod them for that matter but I love your channel. I always look forward to a new video. Been watching since you were modding Molly in your garage ❤
the dash was my favorite part too!! only suggestion i have is get a high quality phone mount and hard mount it on one of those panels where ever is comfortable for you to use.
I really love this truck. Such an accomplishment to build something like this Caleb! The only thing i would say i don't really like is that the rear axle does not match the track width of front angle kit. Im not sure if this is by design but personally i think a widened rear axle would look a lot better.

I really don't understand why these truck videos get less views. You're doing rad shit! Way cooler to watch you work on this thing than the accord.

Right, this truck brought me here a long time ago.😅

Thank you!

from the focus to hotwiring lights in the miata to this amazing fab work, keep it up man, and you def need more subscribers!
There are a number of great builds that you've done over the years, but this one... this one is my favorite.
It just occurred to me that I started watching your channel back in 2016. Not sure where 9 years went but keep on keeping on.
Yeah man I remember back in the Forza Motorsport days. Crazy.
@@MattWaller04just put on built vs bought the other day

Totally agree

So stoked you got it back together and ripping!!! One of my favorite builds you have done! Can't wait to see more of the Drift Truck!!!

I just checked for a video this morning! Dude, you haven't put a out video since last year!
😂 yeah it was so long ago!
Dang dude I was a fan since forza days lol come a long way and literally self taught 👏🏼
I understand that this is a drift truck/daily driver. In my opinion, the rear would look awesome with some sort of widebody also, at least the rear width matching the front width.
Could have sworn he said the plan was to make custom boxed flares for the drift truck. I think that's still the plan
@ if he did i completely missed it.
Thinking the same.
Leaving the rear inward gives better sidebite for drifting. I agree it looks better. It’s the drifter dilemma
@ yeah I understand completely. Its mo OCD lol
I haven't had one of your videos recommended in years fr. I remember when you first bought a 2 post lift
this truck is what brought me to your channel so i am so glad to see it back up and running again
Dude im so stoked about this car. The amount of work gone into it is insane. Im loving seeing your work just get better and better.
Have a 1UZ 98' LS400 and absolutely love this build. So glad to see some progress!
I almost always don’t like truck builds, but this is awesome🔥🔥
I still have your air fresheners from years ago man! happy to support you over the years!
G'day from Australia!
having a nice dash is so slept on, looks incredible sir
Your street ute build is awesome Gingy.
I havent watched your content for a while you've come leaps and bounds, cheers mate!

Old school metal sunvisor would look cool and be pretty functional
Actually love the fender flare. Def waiting for the body to be the same color and the rear wheel to be the same width as the front.
caster being too far forward can cause a lot of shaking on custom front ends
Oh interesting!!! That’s good to know
Overall, I really like how the drift truck has turned out.. I, for one, also love how the front looks with the bolt on fender flairs. That looks mean AF and I dig it.
Gingium, you may want to put a box filter on that fan to cut down on the powder from the powder coating going outside of the room.

probably your best build yet. I love this truck, this turned out amazing

13:40 also a wider front track makes the car more stable during drifts and more prone to start them
I recommend a product called Sandtex, it is fool proof on anything. It has a super fine texture with a low gloss shine. Incredibly durable and has Teflon or something in it which makes the finish super slick despite the texture.
A DA Sander with 80 grit sand paper is perfect for powder prep. That’s what we use on all our parts before powder
Caleb I don’t even build cars, or mod them for that matter but I love your channel. I always look forward to a new video. Been watching since you were modding Molly in your garage ❤
The interior turned out great :)
Such a cool little truck! Dope build!
This truck is turning out super super
24:21 We need ball heaters in cars back
I would do fiberglass or carbon Kevlar for the body kit. You can make a mold and if it gets busted you can just make another
I’m so hype to watch this when I get home. I’ve been dying inbetween uploads :((
That thing looks like such a blast
the dash was my favorite part too!! only suggestion i have is get a high quality phone mount and hard mount it on one of those panels where ever is comfortable for you to use.
that door card cup holder is legit, need that lmao
lets go so happy this is back also love seeing her brother in the videos
Candy red would look amazing on the drift truck
Great progress, can't wait to see the final product!
it looks so good man! i love this truck, i can't wait to see you drifting it again
I enjoyed this video a lot. Keep up the good work!
My god man is the drift truck getting better and better. 2025 is gonna be fire.
Awesome build man, looks like a super fun ride!!!
Its going to be really challenging to get a good uniform powder finish without media blasting the parts before application.
Your page hit my screen today, I like it.
We've waited 6 years for this moment 🗣️
this would be very cool if after you paint it you keep it 2 tone
Happy New Year Mr.Gingium. You’re pretty cool. I like your work. I hope 2025 is the year of Gingium.
back wheels need to poke the same brother, sick truck
I really like all your videos I hope you upload more often that's what I'm always waiting for😢
Drift truck is so good. 🔥
This truck is so beautiful i hope one day i can have something like this
Tuff. Glad to see the progress 👍👍
I really love this truck. Such an accomplishment to build something like this Caleb! The only thing i would say i don't really like is that the rear axle does not match the track width of front angle kit. Im not sure if this is by design but personally i think a widened rear axle would look a lot better.
I never thought I’d see the day
you need to bring the fender flares to the rear as well, it would tie the entire build together
Aferin Keloğlan.
nice, now you have an oven to heat food, with extra seasoning 😋!
Happy new year brother, hope it's full of success, health, love and happiness ❤️ !
Let's go a mili !!
Flock the dash bro 🔥
still remember the forza vids love to see the build come all tg fr
All in the prep work to get a nice finish
This thing sounds awesome
Please bring back the red glossy paint. It looks so good!
Truck sounds great!
Truck looks so good!!!❤❤❤
hey man, i had the same sun issue i recommend either a tint strip or vynal wrap to block sun
Man its sounds so good
Shi sounds good man, great work.
Very nice. Congratulations man
Such a cool build man love it! But you need to make the rear match the front with would look so mean😮💨
Love this lil guy
