When I saw him boosting in his cutscene against Sonic, he was skating instead of hovering while boosting. I'm glad someone was able to make this quick. HOWEVER, We need two more things: 1. We need an Imported Version of Real Shadow Mod in Sonic Generations for this one 2. We need to have "Don't Let The Party Die" from Sleeping Sirens as the Final Boss Music against Neo Devil Doom
I think it could fit better if Shadow has more speed (i know there's a V2 for speed) but IDK, maybe like Shadow on SA2 at max speed? Something like that.
Hi! Was able to get the mods running in Hedgemod Manager. My question is about the Disable FPS Limit Code. It allows me to enable these codes on the Shadow Generations side only, and don't carry over to the Remastered Sonic Generations Client. I was wondering if there was a way to enable these for the Sonic side?
@@willfetters3962 In HedgeModManager settings set it to Development. Then you should be able to see the game. Then just put the mod in your mods folder
Now here's an interesting request of mine: how about animating the Boost to be like the Dragon Boost from _Freedom Planet?_ Simply put, have the animation be Shadow briefly curling into a ball, blasting off in the flight pose, then go back to the skating animation loop. It's a lot like how Lilac's Dragon Boost works. The only complication to this is making sure the "curling into a ball and blasting off" part of the animation doesn't loop, and that only the skating part of the animation loops. I might offer 200 GameBanana points to someone who can pull this off.
Yes! Support has been added to HedgeModManager. Just update it and change the Update Channel in settings to "Development". I also added a download link for the mod with a config for HedgeModManger so you can just download the zip and unzip in your mods folder.
Shadow's skate animations from Sonic Adventure 2 do a really great job at selling Shadow's speed & momentum. But, this mod doesn't do a good job with that.
I can't extract the skate boost zip folder and still shows error codes And I have the hedge mod manager Update I extracted your file from the google drive and will see if it works
Just find the same files within the game files and substitute them. it's in ShadowXSonicGenerations/image/x64 You just unzip it there and it will substitute the "shadow.pac" under the "raw" folder. There IS a readme file but I understand you not being used to these.
Shadow's boost should technically just be him using the rockets in his shoes so the official animation does make sense if you think about it in a literal sense. However the skating is way more iconic so that's why I think they need to finally move on from the boost formula if they're gonna do multiple playable characters again IMO
@@seanboglio3605 The very first scene in SA2's dark story where Shadow appears, Eggman unseals his pod and Shadow comes out of it. At the end of that cutscene Shadow reveals that his shoes allow him to fly, but that is literally the only scene in all of the games where we actually see him fly with his shoes I think
@@seanboglio3605 the boost makes him fast enough to use the rockets to fly, he's already moving forward super fast and they just give him upwards momentum
@@arzfan29 That makes absolutely no since, the hoover skates just propel him forward, he doesn't have any upward lift like an actual rocket/plane. They just animated him like that because of cool points
I do prefer the hover animation, but the Skating one is definitely still good. Maybe later on you could add clenched fists later on like Darkman did for Generations.
This looks so much better! I just wish he skated faster when boosting, similar to the animation at full speed in Sonic Adventure 2.

Sonic, Shadow and Blaze will always be subject to boost formula.
No it doesn't. He can't just fly around. He's supposed to add the rocket boots to his motion. When they are supper they can just fly so there is that.
