I agree with your observations. United States is so politically correct lately and they don’t want to make people uncomfortable. White Americans cannot showcase the achievements of their community because they will be accused of white supremacy and dominance. Black Americans will not showcase the history of their community because it will remind people of their slavery period. Non-indigenous cannot wear Native American attire because they will be accused of cultural appropriation. Immigrants will not showcase their heritage because it is foreign and exists in another country. So instead, they will just go with neutral symbols like state bird, state flowers and state flags.

A year later, she joined Ms Texas USA representing Harris County & was 1st RU to Victoria Hinojosa of McAllen. She competed again at the Ms Texas USA pageant last July, this time representing Friendswood & was eventually crowned by the outgoing titleholder as her rightful successor and she made history by becoming the 1st Asian-American Ms Texas USA.
