In India we mostly use bitumen based roads, and in this we take bitumen density as 1040 kg/m3, please explain difference between density's of asphalt & bitumen...kindly reply sir
I have few questions sir here I am confuse because we can say that cu.m which object have diff3rent dimensions and m3 those object have same dimension so here we have in this object different dimension now I think we will put cu.m unit for this case I need your response
cum (cubic meters) and m3 ,both are same, use can use any of them anywhere
is the density stay the same even after compaction? because I see you use the density of the mixture to calculate the weight of the constructed road.

@@Emadaldeen100 the density of asphalt use in the computation is from the laboratory test results "Laboratory Compaction" molded using Marshall Method. The laboratory compacted samples are tested in the Lab to determine its specific gravity which he is using in the computation.

One mistake is there..the quantity u find is in conpacted..but in site material is coming in loose..so u have to add loose material also..
the density of asphalt used is from the laboratory compaction molded "Marshall Method" NOT the loose mix asphalt and tested for specific gravity

2350 kg/m3 (147 lb/ft3)
if u have availble component mix Density then use that density if not then its standaard value mostly !!

1 ton is equal to 1000kg
1 metric tonne is 1000kg (2200lbs (1kg = 2.2lbs)) a short ton or 'American ton' as us Canadians know it is 2000lbs.

The Denisty is 2.33 Gm/cc, So multiple it by 1000 you we'll get the density in KG/M3

Find the Area to be applied by Tack Coat then multiply by the rate of application (Specs)
You compute hot mix quantity only not asphalt, because hot mix contains 2.36,6.25,12.5,20 mm and bitumen. So it's not quantity of bitumen

Well for 2400 sq.m area for 150 mm it requires 839 tonns.
How can find the tar and aggregate quanity.
you can request a mix design from your asphalt provider which will break down the amount or percentages of aggregate and bituminous materials
Simple formula (Area * Thickness * Density) Area(8*2000m=1600m) Thickness (0.015cm) Dencity(2330) so 1600*0.015*2330=55.92Ton of Asphalt

The density is not the same before and after compaction right? Why did he use the density of loose asphalt when he multiplied it by the volume of compacted asphalt??
