  • The cant hook is a great tool for the home owner who harvests firewood. Better known in the forestry industry, the cant hook is an underutilized and valuable tool for any backyard warrior with a chainsaw! This video demonstrates how to roll seemingly unmovable logs using the cant hook, which allows for cutting logs without the chainsaw hitting the ground. With this 48" LogRite cant hook, it's a one-man job for the Backyard Warrior!

I got one from woodchuck. I also got their timber jack and skideroon. They are great tools! I’m always bucking up and hand splitting large diameter stuff. 24-40in ash, oak, maple. I just found log rite this past year and their in my home state of CT! Kinda wish I had supported a local biz just for the sake of supporting them. My son will be getting old/big enough to actually help doing this stuff so maybe I’ll get the log rite stuff so we have our own tools and no one is tying up something the other needs. Also, they (log rite ) make a hand truck that turns into a cart that has NO RIVAL on the market. Great video, ONE person can get the same work done as MANY with a great plan, flexibility in execution and SUPERIOR EQUIPMENT!

I welded that can’t hook for you if you bought it between November 2019-now

So cool that you welded it and yes I did buy it in that timeframe! It is a great tool and it still functioning beautifully. I had called the company in Connecticut asking if they would sponsor me because I was going to do a RUclips and they wouldn’t send me one but I bought it anyway. Love it!

Why did you choose the cant stile instead of the peavey end? Thanks

I felt that the small hook is better to grip the log than the point of a peavy. I never had a Peavy so I’m not sure if I am right but I love my choice.
