Steve can just play that guitar like no one else!!! And he is nice easy going person. Couple of years ago, he was recognized staying in a hotel in Europe and people begged him to play for the wedding guests at the reception - and he did!!!
I mean... you have one of the greatest guitar players on earth, and he plays the solo of Whole Lotta Love during his solo moment. The fact that he learned that solo and then plays it in front of his audience just shows the humbleness of this great great musician.
I've watched this many many times and i never get tired.its such an absolute pleasure.haha i like ian paice's expressions when he drums.steve morse is such a talent.long live deep purple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im just 5 days away to see them live!! i cant believe their comming to my city, the artists that have been here are not even rock, only pop, reggaeton and some mainstream shit but this is unbelievable, i still cant believe it
Just... wow.... with most guitarists, even the really fast ones like Yngwie Malmsteen, you find yourself thinking that with enough practice and enough skill, one could learn how to play just like them. With Steve Morse, though, the only thing anyone can say while watching any of his live solos is, "how the **** is he DOING that?!?!?!" For my money, he's the greatest guitarist EVER.
I think this solo proves Steve's refinement in all sorts of areas of guitar. The guys done jazz fusion, progressive rock, hard rock/heavy metal and probably classical guitar over the years, and that alone is enough to be a guitar god. He may not be Ritchie, but Ritchie's no Steve either
@littleJon92 ... my bad... that was me... IT WAS A MISTAKE! HONEST! just read some of the comments i've left on some other DP videos! i stick up for Steve against the "Blackmore Purists" all the time! i meant to hit the "like" button instead! (although, for the incredible Mr. Morse, the ONLY two valid choices should be "like" and "love"!) PLEASE FORGIVE ME?
Actually he is not using any effect but distortion, he moves quickly the guitar volume (look at his pinky finger) in order to get that swell sound, which is quite difficult to make
More of this Steve, more of this, and people will stop comparing you to Ritchie. But of course, we all know that the *Second* Blackmore gives the *slightest* hint at being willing to reunite, Morse will be Kullicked/RIppered out the door.
Hes simply brilliant great guitar player

This song wrote Steve!!!
феноменально
The well dressed guitar
Nobody will say that Morse is bad after listening to this! He's a man
does anyone know, is he playing a song on 5:40, or is this just a few chords?
music music
@NKL77 and so? that's just a Steve idea...Gillan eve joked them when they reunited...
Oops. He messed up a few times.
i like ritchie blackmore but this is also good.
what is the name of the first classical song he plays? its about 38 seconds into the solo
What's this Jimmy Hendrix song called at 4:00 ?
check-out Dixie Dregs
WIch song is he playing at 2;20?
how about Voodoo Child?
What kind of FX does he use?
He uses a little bit of delay, but all delay does is repeat all your mistakes, LOL.
Хорош по-своему, но не Блэкмор, простите). И, спасибо, ему, конечно, что дал возродиться DEEP PURPLE!
He relies too much on guitar effects than on skill of playing the instrument properly. But he is pretty good at it.
What song is Steve playing on 5:28 to 5:48?
Not too sure I always guessed it was like an improvised bit however if I'm wrong I'd also love to know
just a classic chord progression played with the same note skipping arpeggios he plays in the well dressed guitar.
smoke on the water?
not Fire ,nor Purple Haze....it`s Voodoo chile,-)))
Ja jebe... ;-)
No it's not. I think it's just improvise
wasn't a song, part of solo
@javichulo82 es muy bueno pero jamas mejor que BLACKMORE
@littleJon92 AAAAAAACCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a Electro Freak.... But this is.... fucking nice!!!!
it's not a song.
A singing guitar!
STEVE MORSE is GREAT (God bless him)
