Remembering Betty Grable today. She has been gone 49 years now but her movies are still worth watching. She was the number one pin up girl of WW2 and did a lot for our troops' morale. You were a good actress too and not a bad singer. Thanks Miss Grable for all those movies you left behind. i rather watch your films made 80 plus years ago than this junk passing itself off as films.
My favorite musical star of the 40s and early 50s. The queen of the technicolor screen. If she would have laid off those damn cigarettes I wonder how much longer she would have been around? They don't make 'em like this anymore. Movies or stars.
MinstrelSurfer. I agree , nothing like these great musicals and old movies when you did not have to worry about inappropriate words and scenes. Thank you for sharing.
I agree wholeheartedly, Budcat. That is why I started my channel ...... to keep alive these wonderful examples of a genre whose time has long since passed, An era of fun, glamour and talent!
She was talented and modest...beautiful inside and out. Born in the fifties...grew up singing a song about army life with the lines "You ask for Betty Grable, They give you turpentine". Always remember that.
