I have loaded the files and linked to them, as shown. The side bar is showing that the assets exist, but the thumbnails are not loading. I am on a Mac. Is there a specific file path that I am unaware of? I have closed and restarted Blender. I have even restarted the computer, files are not showing up. Very frustrating.

I agree this is not the right way to do it. For now 3.5 GB is small enough that I think it's not the end of the world, but I'm waiting for the Blender devs to add a simple post-drag&drop handler that we could hook into to download on the fly rather. Right now I believe the only way to do this is to implement a custom drag&drop handler from scratch, which has a few more drawbacks.
Keep in mind the HDRIs download at 1k by default so if you want the higher res HDRIs and models it will take up even more space. This info is in the polyhaven video on the add-on. Awesome videos 🍻

Hi I bought the addon a few days ago but I have been having a problem getting it installed. I create a folder go to file paths etc, I'm pretty sure i followed your instructions in your video, but when I go to the asset browser and select Poly Haven i don't get the fetch assets button. Thanks in advance John
Hmm, I'm kind of disappointed that the add-on doesn't let you pick and choose what to download (item by item), like how Blenderkit does it. Unless...I missed something? Because that's a lot of space to take up for unused assets. That's my only gripe. But anyway, love your videos!
All good, I uninstalled it, deleted all assets, did it again from scratch, did fetch assets ALL, restarted Blender and category's showed up this time. Thanks again for the video

Is there a way to know how much space Poly Haven is going to take before fetch? BlenderKit downloads as you need it. This seems a bad way to do this

I click on fetch asset I get a blender phyton traceback error why? use blender 3.2
