Back to Sedona for the first time in a long time! It's Sedona Mountain Bike Fest Eve and all is quiet, the perfect time for me to get out for a solo ride.

During the summer your videos made me want to buy a bike and start riding the mountains, took me a couple months to get one! but now I love it and I’m just looking forward to my next ride !
Freddy: Congrats and enjoy! Spend a few $$ to take a lesson or two -- a wise and "safe" investment. Rubber side down! Rule #1 is FUN!! I'm 75 and help coach a MTB high school team. It can be a lifelong sport! :-)
@@jddallager1699 thank you so much! I will be looking into lessons it doesn’t hurt to give it a shot !
Went on my first out of state MTB trip to Sedona this year. Cool to see the guy who got me into MTB riding some of those trails I rode. Keep inspiring people to ride man!
Love the red rocks rocking w/ the blue sunny sky!!
Adobe Jack is great trail to ride when demoing different bikes at the festival. One of my favorite little spots.
Man these videos from the southwest get me thinking. I need to put a winter trip together and head west. Riding pretty much comes to a stop in the Northeast during winter. Looks like I could fly direct to Phoenix ,rent a car, and be in Sedona 2hrs after leaving Phoenix. I'm guessing Sedona has mtb rental places. Sounds like an amazing winter getaway to me! Your videos have truly inspired me. I've ridden many of the east coast destinations you've been too. Most recently Frederick watershed in MD. Time to finally head west!! Keep up the killer content Brian!
A few things, you can fly to Sedona or even Flagstaff. Phoenix also has a set of trails, as does Tucson.
They do rent bikes in Sedona, you can get your hands on a Ripmo or a High tower as a rental. I'm an east coast transplant living in Flagstaff and it's great having trails available year round. I used to live 30 mins from Frederick Watershed, have you been to White Clay in Wilmington, DE? If not, definitely worth going to on the EC.
Very stoked for the "BKXC Star" list
Such a great weekend. Glad we rode together again...
Awesome ride, can't wait to see what's next during the festival.
Great video BK! Can't wait to see some more of Sedona!
BKXC you're the man. Please make the list
I bet the rocky terrain has you feeling right at home :) Thanks for sharing the ride!
This looks amazing. I would vote these trails for the bucket list.
Well I can definitely think of one for the bucket list for sure. Whole Enchilada in Moab of course. I rode it a few weeks ago and is truly bucket list material.
so this was the pre festival! awesome! looking forward to the festival vid!
Great video Dude!! Sick Riding Man!! The scenery there is amazing!! Can watch this for hours!!
I remember Beth from that trip to Moab :). I've since gone back and done Porcupine Rim 3 times. Much better/faster than I was the first time. Not clearing the Snotch though.
I was there that weekend as well, for avoided the mountain bike festival I just rode from home in Oak Creek, a few laps of highline, across the highway and road for hogs As well. I enjoyed my first trip there at the beginning of November I like it so much that I flew back down for another week of riding, that place is so much fun
Brian! Im pretty sure Basque mtb is on your 'list' for best trails! Hope you get to go back there. Really love your enthusiasm when youre in the Basque country.
I was there October into November. I avoided the festivities because of all the people. It’s good to see likeminded people out however. Be back in spring, for hopefully hero dirt. Shred on!
My favorite hiking spot
One of my favorite trails out there!
nice ride sir.
Hotel california remix
See Brian’s bikes take a beating at Sedona
Such a lovely red
Such a lovely place
I'll hopefully be out there in March for the next festival, looks epic!
Tortas del fuego is truly 🔥
Looks amazing and very fun trails 👍😎🤘
You said "Sentiers du moulin" was the best place on earth. I ride there pretty often and my best ride was at Sedona...That place is out of this world !
Sweet bike. Looked right at home in the gnarly bits
Looks totally amazing 🤩😍 No snow, no ice and especially no winter in sight 🙄
Sedona never disappoints!!!
Fantastic video! My wife and I were riding out there about a month ago. The Chuckwagon-Mescal Loop is one of my favorites. It makes for a long ride but totally worth it
Reference 50 Classic Climbs, 50 Favorite Climbs, Fifty Ski Decents, Rock and Road, etc. The web is nice but there's something about getting a book and having it float around the house or car.
Hey man! Me and the guys are heading to Sedona in January. Hitting your Sedona content hard! Thanks ! Oh and your George Costanza reference 😂 😂 😂
What’s up Brian. Great stuff as always. My name is Marco, your town neighbor from Napa. Ok man…you are killing me that you haven’t been to Chico yet! You go everywhere but you leave one of the most tech places in NorCal (local trails) off. That’s where I’m from originally. Head over there pretty often to see family and ride every time I’m there. Always tell everyone if they learn to ride Chico you can ride anywhere. Very similar to Rockville and Oat Hill Mine except a lot more miles available. Waaaay different than Redding, I know you’ve been up there. I’m sure you’ve been hit up by plenty of people there. Take the offer up from someone who knows the park well. Hit some B trail, Guardians, Trashline, Upper, etc. It’s an absolute blast. Just make sure not to go after a rain because they shut it down after .25 inch of rain. Tons of folks that would love to show you around. Anyways, keep up the good work. Maybe I’ll see you at Skyline one of these days.
Saw you on the trail that Thursday. Buddy and I made the 8hr drive and rode straight to the trail head. Man we were in so over our heads. I double taked when I saw you and but was so dead I couldn’t figure out who you were. 😂
The video is full of badassery
Great video and commentary I’m in N Lake Tahoe waiting for snow so I’ve been watching your videos and getting a few extra rides in. I like your idea for a must do trail book and also that it’s your opinion. I’m an intermediate enduro rider and I relate to your missing trail junctions etc.
I’m waiting for my new handlebar TRAIL 1 looks sick 👊🏻👊🏻
Evoc Hip Pack Pro 3 and say goodbye to hip pack discomfort. The flexible straps are what make it the best.
Hey Brian, getting ready to go on my first ride with the new Trail1 grips. They look great.
Waoo i love ❤mountain ride 🤘🤘💪💪💪🙏🙏🙏
I liked the wedding ring bit🤣
You HAVE to ride my hometown trails. Lander Wyoming, especially Upper to Lower Brewers and Blue Ridge. Some of the best riding I have ever been on
Great video. I'm getting stoked for my trip next month! I'll be there with two other riders for 3 days and I hope to make the most of it. BTW, I hear you started in Rockville too!
Maybe next year Trail One will have a booth at the festival.
What are those really silvery yucca looking plants? Those look cool!
I love the videos BK! Keep up the work and showing the mountain bike community off!
On a side note, when you have time, do you think you could update your camera settings on your website?? Thank you!
Yep that traffic was brutal in Sedona that weekend. But still worth it, sort of lol
Those Arizona Blue trails will get you.
I miss Sedona 😭😭
i really love what ur doing dreaming one day riding with you take care
I just bought a new Ripmo. Can I ask what tires you are running?
Nice video. Definitely want to head to Sedona. Q: It seems you don't wear gloves often while riding. Any particular reason?
Are you gonna do The White Line?
Brian I think you've ritten more trails than anybody in the world maybe. It'd be really cool if you did a little guide book of all these places worth taking a trip to. Versus versus I guess at any 20 mi embarrated thing. Sometimes these little close in places where people live are really freaking cool
I just mountain biked for the second time. It was on Adobe jack. They told me it would
Be easy !
Totally agree with you on the semi- questionable IMBA epic criteria. I've done a few of their epics in PA and NY and they were good not necessarily great rides, but really they were just long mtb rides. There are so many great trails and truly Epic rides to be had that I think maybe we need more then just an IMBA thumbs up or something more then the typical Green, Blue and Black ratings. Something that is rated Black in one place might be a Green or easy Blue somewhere else. At the very least I think there needs to be a better defined system to qualify trails in their respective Easy, Medium, Expert categories. We probably need a couple more categories.
Yes finnaly someone who agrees with me! Rode a green in Washington and it felt just as hard as a black that I road in Montana.
How big is Sedona vs Sea Otter?
The George castanza school of relationships 💀😂
Lucky you can ride the trails road are ok but can't ride my hardtail damn wrist injury
Haha breaking out some George Constanza vibes! Summer of George!?
Which bike?
We had to miss the festival, and now we get to see what we missed, lol 😂 someone kicked our bucket over I’m not blaming anyone but it was probably that RUclipsr that makes inappropriate videos 🤣
My bucket list includes riding a trail with Brian
Brian, you get to ride the most awesome trails, but I don't see how you can do it. I mean, you sure take a beating on most of the western rock trails. It's no way my body could take that constant jarring. Where I live on the east coast, the trails have a few roots here and there, but with the right bike I can ride them on the seat.
Wearing bib shorts can help with the hip-rub!
I have a question is there 1 or 2 Sedona MTB Festivals?
Heading out there in a couple days and looking for beginner/intermediate trails to do with my wife. Any recommendations?
No gloves? Great video, you make the tech look easy.
titanium bolts. that is my next upgrade
What was that super ominous sound at the start?
Brian, what knee pads do you use?
How are you finding the medium frame vs large?
So I've noticed this for a while that you're not the biggest jump guy on YT, but at the end I was surprised you mostly avoided the blue features. You're obviously a very talented and capable rider, did you just never pick up jumps or terrain park features? Is that something you want to pursue or develop? Is that just a consequence of XC focused riding?
I like how you bumped into RUclipsrs - there were probably more so called RUclipsrs at the festival than actual public!
Would sure beat the atmospheric rivers going on in BC right now
Need to buy rings that are way too small. I have never had mine fall off. They stretch and then fall off if you don’t go small on them.
omg, i want invite this man in Nepal, bcz i am so motivated with him my wish is together we riding in nepal where he want.
i need to move outa cali
How come you dont were gloves?
👍
Anyone know the trail name at 11:16?
What do you for living ?
Plz replay Mr.
Sedona miles are different
My lips got so freaking dry that weekend - the next week I had the nastiest looking lips ever.
Is this for men or womens?
White line
I feel like in most of his videos he isn't wearing gloves. Choosing to wear gloves or not to or which is better is a debatable topic.
I don't know if it's only but this kind of terrain is terrible boring. I get that if you are from that area and that's the only thing around you stick to that and get used to it, but for me having around alpine trails this is one of my least favorite types of trails.
Bikes??? My whole body is in pain,,
Gift me one cycle brother
What would he ride then?
Remember, kids: Downhill rider yields to uphill rider!
That trail is simply horrible .
Anyone else give up on biking cause their bike keeps breaking no matter how much you fix it? I want to get back into it but I am sick of repairing and then get to trail and its broken...
What kind of bike you rocking? When I read this I think your line choice is harder, and therefore your bike may not be able to handle the trauma. My chain keeps popping off and I keep bottoming out, and I KNOW I’m ready for a new one.
No. My bikes don't break...
@@GiovaniUrrutia do you have a derailleur with a clutch and a narrow wide chainring?
@@Cassienope I have a clutch but also a 2x, I know the front chainrings are a factor.
@@GiovaniUrrutia that's probably it. Although I have 2x Shimano grx and don't really lose my chain. Chainring design makes a huge difference.
Johnny Sins?
