His age is what makes this not work. Ginocarlo is 66. He’ll be 70 pretty soon. That’s way too old for Doom. Doom should be more like in his 40s. He’d be better as Professor X and he already said he wanted to play Professor X

I can't see it at the moment but I can see Henry Cavill playing Dr Doom (even if it's not going to happen). Giancarlo would be a great Norman Osbourne but he can't play that role in the live mcu version because of Spiderman 3 saying there isn't an Oscorp in MCU but anything is possible.

Doom was never about physical prowess, ever. He’s really an evil cross between Stephen Strange (magic) and Tony Stark (science).

Interesting - Dr Doom is ethnically South Asian, so ideally they'd find a South Asian actor to play this Romani character, who's part of a persecuted racial minority in his European home country - but if the MCU doesn't go with South Asian, then IMO Javier Bardem is the strongest choice for him among the names mentioned - but, along the same lines, Giancarlo Esposito would also be a very strong choice - and this is a fantastic actor who could also do a lot with this role
