  • I bought an old 55 New Holland Hay Rake and a New Holland 67 Hayliner square baler. Both the hay rake and square baler need a lot of work. In this video we test out the hay rake and shine it up! I used the LS MT225s to take both the hay rake and square baler down to the shop.

Used both these New Holland pieces of equipment, that was 45 years ago. Glad to see still around and usable!

Your Grandad did a great job with the ol'classic tractor...so I am sure you will get these into mint condition too...especially with your fabulous daughters helping. Sending everything good your way Mallard 6. Xx

Thanks buddy! The past few years something has always been coming up for us financially. That's why it took me so long. But now one of my dreams is finally coming to life 👍

I noticed you didn't put a cotter pin in the bottom of your hitch pin before moving the rake to secure it to the tractor. Those hitch pins can bounce out, and leave the equipment loose in the field disattached from the tractor. Obviously, this can be a real hazard! Saw a video where this happened with a tedder. Pin came out, tongue dropped to dirt and dug in. PTO shaft flipped the tedder over on the operator while spinning. Enjoying watching you figure things out! Hoping you take this as constructive! It's those little things that can really hurt you in a hay field (don't ask me how I know! LOL). Safety first Sir! God bless you and your family! And GREAT to see you get the kids involved!

Oh yes you are absolutely right! I just knew I was taking it for a little test run and was going slow, but when doing the job I use a cotter pin. I believe you're talking about what happened to my ol buddy Evan from Countryview Acres. I'm glad he didn't get hurt! Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it!
