Why can't I find out what is at the bottom??? I've searched all over the dang internet! Search on youtube and I got 2 videos of the Utah crack, and a thousand videos on crack coc aine.
As the river formed after the water retreated, it ate at the shelf OP is walking on, eventually the weight of the unsupported line found a natural weakness in the rock and pop goes the weasel. Could be tomorrow, could be in 100 years, but it will fall. Well, in theory, considering the Colorado river is in deep skittles, with water levels being lower and lower, i expect Green river to be in the same bottle, meaning erosion would craw to a halt if trends hold. It's extremely well visible in google maps, giant chunk right at a bend.

@@adventureswithdan_radguy I think Utah at some point use to be under water. Now really hot. Maybe played a role on the ground. I don't know. Pretty cool. Thanks for the video. Love to go check it out.
There's a cave underneath. In very simplistic terms, this was deposited over time, layer after layer, then at some point, water started left and made a river (to the right) said river ate at the rock below, and without support it broke along a fault line. Kinda like what's happening with glaciers now, where warmer water is eating the base, leaving the tops unsupported, forming cracks that run along lines as long as a large US state. You can do the same at home, for fun, using a glazed layer cake. At the base, use a spoon to eat the first layers, going in. As you do, it will eventually break and fall on the plate.
Why don't they pour a bunch of concrete in that crack crack supposed to be filled in with something feel like cracking with a bunch of concrete I mean if we use say half the supply concrete for I don't know America that might fill it in I'm not sure but it will take a lot of concrete but I'm sure we just yeah just get her up all the concrete put it fill it up
I have anxiety just from watching this video. I could never get that close. God Bless You!

You can see the bottom in a few spots but for much of it you can't. If I get back there I will make a better video I promise
@@adventureswithdan_radguy I cannot thank you enough for responding to my comment! I was so curious that I was about to start planning a trip! Lol!🧡🧡🧡
You should totally do it lol

@@adventureswithdan_radguy I'm going to be driving White Rim next month. Where abouts can I find the trail to this? What is the closest campsite?
I'm in my chair, in my office holding onto the arms of my chair and getting dizzy just watching this video. I will NOT be visiting this anytime soon.
Have lived and traveled throughout the entire state of Utah, but have never seen or heard about this crack.
How could it be so straight, I mean like a knife cut!!
That's amazing! Oh look there's a crack too, neat.

Why are you walking so close to the edge? If you respond, I'll know you are still alive.
What a cool place! Would love to visit. Any place to rappel down into it?
I'm sure there is but I'm no expert in rappelling.
Anyone ever light it up down there? Drone footage?
There's no way I would walk that close to that crack.
