You should have PreAmp 1 turned on - you should be able to see the noise level at the bottom of the SDR display. This isn't well explained in the manual. THE K4 sounds excellent BTW - very nice on the ears.
Interesting that this operator has the bandscope changed to have the signals 'filled in' which is not standard on the K4d. It has nice audio - even better with some NR.
@@Jimbo10250 Well the usual answer would be "Sure, the radio I had before this was 'X'. The K4 is better in the following ways...because of X features/abilities, and worse in the following ways because of..." HTH.
No sir, it has been rock solid except for a very rare instance where the computer seemed a little confused. A simple power off/on cures that, but as I said it is very rare. And not uncommon with other modern transcievers that have alot of firmware running everything.

That radio sounds wonderful. What antenna are you using?
Thank you. For 20-15-10 I use a Mosley 3 element yagi at about 40 feet.

Thanks. You have the option to fill the signals in with a yellow/gold color, or gray color. I think the yellow/gold is best personally.
How does it compare to the 101?
That QRM at 3:45 and 4:16 is exactly the same as my local QRM coming from a few houses away. What is it?
I wish I knew. If you find out let me know!!!

Have you had any issues with your K4?

Can the mouse dongle not go in the back?
Yes I'm sure it can. Its just more convenient in the front.
QSL disease is spreading.
