Ill never switch back from a foldable. All these brands are great to see, i just wish their software was up to par with samsungs foldables. I absolutely love my zfold 3 on the sofware sides of things but wish the hardware was as nice as some of the other brands with bigger more standard sized outer displays. Fingers crossed for the zfold 5 🤞

I'll never switch TO a foldable as long as they keep having midrange grade cameras... I wand flagship cameras on a flagship phone if I'm to buy it, I love photography and my Mi 11 Ultra takes insanely good pictures (for a phone, still can't compare with a DSLR or course but) and I do not want to lose that.

I have been waiting a long time for a folding phone for years. I like that there is more variety coming into the market as this will help drive prices down as currently, the price is one of the biggest aspects that keeps it out of everyday consumers like me and others. If they were are to provide the foldable phone for around $1000k, there would many people who would consider paying a couple of hundred dollars more to get one.
I personally prefer the Huawei version of the foldable phone, it is both lighter, thinner, and much better designed. The fact that they have most of the components in the section where you hold it when opened is a very smart way to put it together. It gives you a natural hand grip to hold your device to use it.
Also, I know some people say that having the screen on the outside might cause you to scratch it, and I would say you have a point. However, considering how fast technology moves ahead and how often people change their phones. I am sure that you would not be keeping the phone for more than 1-2 years, 3 years max, because by then there would be a phone out that will do much better than what you have. If you look after the phone which generally people do, then it will last you until the day you want to replace it with another one.
Furthermore, I believe that it comes with a case and you can get a plastic clear screen cover to put on it so if there is a scratch, it is on the plastic cover and not the phone.
I am hoping with new innovations that the Huawei XS foldable will keep its outside screen looks and over the next couple of iterations that the screen issue raised will no longer be an issue because if they can fix this issue, they will have the BEST foldable phone in the market. As far as I am concerned they will have no competition and Samsung and the other foldable phone companies will change there's to match Huawei's.
Personally, I don't mind the screen issue (not an issue to me), and the only thing holding me back from purchasing it is the price as I love everything about the phone.

Surprised this one offers 60 open and 120 closed. Is it waterproof? The back cover case should come with a built in kickstand. I've had a fold 2 since launch and have waited twice now for Samsung to provide a viable upgrade path worth splashing another grand into, but they keep disappointing me. I consider the crease to be a factory defect and won't buy another one with the same defect. Saumsung have also failed to address the gap when closing, the wedge shape, the irritatingly narrow front screen, and the mediocre mid-range camera system.
Looks like Honor beat Sammy to it in our markets as Samsung have basically had zero competition and thus made zero innovation in the last three folds, and so it's looking likely to be my next phone.

@@LaidBackDeveloper Of course it's a manufacturing defect - Other foldables don't have it. Samsung appears obsessed with a 6mm radius of curvature, rather than a recessed teardrop hinge.
It's the reason why so many of us have had to have screen replacements when the crease starts cracking under normal use.
This isn't a feature or a benefit, it's a design flaw causing a manufacturing defect which Samsung are too afraid to change after the original fold debacle. Other manufacturers use Samsung's screens and implement them in the correct way.

But it isn't water resistant because of the teardrop design to make it close completely

I wish companies would stop trying to make their phones as thin and light as possible, light phones just feel like cheap flimsy toys. I need my phone to have a bit of heft, glass and metal sandwich with a thicc battery is all I want. Wish my Samsung was thicker and heavier with a bigger battery tbh

It could've benefitted from an under screen front camera for the internal display tho

@@Hhhh22222-w the internal screen is primarily used for consuming content, not selfies IMHO. Also, on a personal note, I've only taken like 2 selfies on the past year so I could most likely do without a good selfie shooter. However, I do guess that doesn't apply to everyone.

why doesn`t anyone build a foldable that is multimedia focused? 16:9 display while unfolded.

  • @victorsantos9884
    @victorsantos9884 2 года назад

They need to find a way to get rid of the crease, it looks like the display is damaged. Should be number one priority with these companies.

watching this from a z fold 4. got it the day it came out and still loving it. i will trade it for the z fold 5 when it comes out if they manage to deliver a good upgrade. if not, I'm selling and going to one of this other alternatives. not going back to regular phones ever!

I have the fold 3...love the phone. Wanted to upgrade to a fold 4 but I don't love the price. So I'm looking forward to other manufacturers and improved technology and hopefully a lower price tag...they really should not be over $1k

To sum it up as long as any folding phone can take a better picture then the current fold4 then its a win and already a better option and in contention for 1st place.
