Very true. The characteristics of a tablature is that of Peer Buxji. In the photo. Every tabla player has his own. I am keen listener for over 50 years. Have been to several of his concerts in UK and he used to stay with one of my friends who was his promoter in UK and mainland Europe. I have met him a few times. His favourites were Ustad Shaukat Ji , Buxji and Tariji.

پتا نی یار لوگ ایسا کیوں کرتے ہیں ,رفیع صاحب اپنی جگہ شہنشاہ غزل مہدی حسن اپنی جگہ لیکن ہمیں کوئی حق نہیں کہ کسی کا کسی سے مقابلہ کریں. کیوں کہ وہ اپنے دور میں کبھی بھی مقابلہ کیا. کچھ لحاظ کیا کرو. باقی رہی بات مقابلے کی تو مہدی حسن صاحب غزل کے شہنشاہ گانوں کے شہنشاہ سرگم تان پلٹے اور ٹھمری ایسے بہت سی چیزیں ہیں اور ہر راگ میں گا سکتے تھے اور ایک بات مزے کی یہ ہے کہ جو بندہ بیمار ہوتا اسے خان صاحب گانا یا غزل سناؤ تو وہ ٹھیک ہو جاتے اور جو روٹھ جاتے تو اسے بھی غزل یا گانا سناتے تو وہ بھی ٹھیک ہو جاتے واہ کیا بات اے. اور دھنیں اور راگ خود تیار کرتے تھے اور آواز کرارے نوٹ کی طرح صاف تھی اور آواز میں درد بھی بہت تھا سمجھ بوجھ بھی زیادہ تھی. بلکہ یوں کہیں کہ مہدی حسن صاحب کا کوئی مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتا. اور رہی بات رفیع صاحب کی ان میں یہ بہت سی کم تھی اور رفیع صاحب بھی اچھے تھے اور مسعود رانا صاحب جسے گاتے تھے

پتا نی یار لوگ ایسا کیوں کرتے ہیں ,رفیع صاحب اپنی جگہ شہنشاہ غزل مہدی حسن اپنی جگہ لیکن ہمیں کوئی حق نہیں کہ کسی کا کسی سے مقابلہ کریں. کیوں کہ وہ اپنے دور میں کبھی بھی مقابلہ کیا. کچھ لحاظ کیا کرو. باقی رہی بات مقابلے کی تو مہدی حسن صاحب غزل کے شہنشاہ گانوں کے شہنشاہ سرگم تان پلٹے اور ٹھمری ایسے بہت سی چیزیں ہیں اور ہر راگ میں گا سکتے تھے اور ایک بات مزے کی یہ ہے کہ جو بندہ بیمار ہوتا اسے خان صاحب گانا یا غزل سناؤ تو وہ ٹھیک ہو جاتے اور جو روٹھ جاتے تو اسے بھی غزل یا گانا سناتے تو وہ بھی ٹھیک ہو جاتے واہ کیا بات اے. اور دھنیں اور راگ خود تیار کرتے تھے اور آواز کرارے نوٹ کی طرح صاف تھی اور آواز میں درد بھی بہت تھا سمجھ بوجھ بھی زیادہ تھی. بلکہ یوں کہیں کہ مہدی حسن صاحب کا کوئی مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتا. اور رہی بات رفیع صاحب کی ان میں یہ بہت سی کم تھی اور رفیع صاحب بھی اچھے تھے اور مسعود رانا صاحب جسے گاتے تھے
