Are you allowed to be a national geographic explorer even if you are not an American citizen? Also what degrees and experiences do you have to have to qualify to be a national geographic explorer?🌎
Yes, you are allowed to be a National Geographic Explorer even if you are not an American citizen! I don't select the grantees so I don't know exactly what they are looking for, but you can't go wrong with just working day by day to perfect your craft so that by the time you apply you have a solid portfolio of work and experiences to showcase. principalstjohnsvaishali Admaprathap on the nat Geo website there’s is information on how to become an explorer. If you’re serious about it you can make it a reality!
Nowadays it doesn't matter where you are from, you can learn skills from your own home.
If you can't afford to go to big universities , sign up to online course and get your qualifications. Do some of your own projects and apply with the CV. Good luck

Hello Faten! Sorry I am so late to this comment. I have been off RUclips for a little while, but I am back on now :) This project, which I worked on in 2018 was the first time I had worked with National Geographic Society. I applied to their early career grant, and was awarded one. I don't know exactly why they selected me, but by the time I applied, I had quite a lot of experience working for different publications. It is ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE for you to achieve your dream. Never give up on it. Just keep perfecting your craft and learning. You will make it one day, I have no doubt!
I’m from Singapore :) I’m only 16 now so once I finish my national service I’ll be 20 plus then I plan apply for the Nat Geo early career grant
It’s definitely not impossible! If you’re passionate about it and willing to make sacrifices and take the leap of faith I’m sure you can land it. Don’t let failure hold you back!

What degrees do you need ?
Any skill/degree ur interested in! Natgeo prefers experience and your way of telling a story. U can get a degree in zoology/botany/ archeology /architecture and a lot more to work with them. You can get more info on their website
