Here’s my full spoiler critique of Torna: the Golden Country - a game I found equal parts frustrating and amazing! Next up for critiquing: Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It’s gonna be a long video, I think… What did you think of Torna? Let me know in the comments! And thanks for supporting me. 😍
I can’t wait for 3, with how many criticisms I could give some major moments in that story that I haven’t really heard brought up anywhere yet. Not that we need the same opinion on that, just makes me even more curious.
It’s going to be very interesting to see. I have a LOT to say about XC3, good and bad, and I’m very curious to find out what people think of my opinions lol
@@AltercateTVLooking forward to it! In the meantime, might check out the rest of your content, I have some catching up to do it seems from the last time I watched your stuff, haha.
I wish I were more influential to recommend this channel to a wider audience. You do such a good job with both your thoughts and editing. Keep up the good work.
3:59 Which ironically was not an issue in XC1(Aka. the first game you would expect to be more clunky in these details) because enemies dropped chests, which not only made it easier to see what you get but also makes the drops never despawn unless they fall into a pit, even when starting a NG+ run. I genuinely sometimes question why these absolutely random details just regress between games for no reason.
I’m guessing they felt it was too tedious to have to open chests all the time, and it is kind of an interruption to the flow. But another benefit of having chests is that you could actually notice what stuff you got. XC2 and XC3’s loot systems make it very hard to tell what you even picked up sometimes…
Wow, the environments in that game look amazing, I’ll definitely have to check it out. I have to agree with the person who commented about your editing, it really is very skilled. I’ve heard some complaints about XB saying it’s too sexualized, I don’t know if that’s true or not but I’m glad you kept it mostly about the story. Can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you so much, Robb! Xenoblade 2 has some very questionable character designs that IMO don't match the characters' personalities at all, so it comes off feeling very gratuitous. It's still a great story, though! Xenoblade 1 and 3 are totally different, not sexualized at all. :)
@@AltercateTV you’re welcome bro! Thank you for the excellent content. When I finally dive i to the series I’ll have to start at the beginning anyway so that good to know. I can take or leave the sexualization honestly, I do find it to be off putting and it can break immersion but I’m not gonna pitch a fit about it either, especially if it’s a good game or matches the character personality like you said. :-)
@@AltercateTV it's actually not true There's a lot of that in the others games In 1 there's meyneth, sharla, lorithia and vanea that are always sexualised for example I'll not do an essay on that but there's a zoom on fiora's boobs when another says that he will get his hands dirty for example In 3 there's alexandria and Monica for example
