    Nice little fillets m88 probably one of the first actually filleting like a boss I’ve seen for a long time nice to know others know what there doing without mangling the meat 😂

      The most common reason I see people mangling the filet is their knife just isn’t sharp.

    We have a salmon run here every fall and we love to catch them with fishing poles they fight very hard. So we have salmon to eat year round. It is right up there with Ribeye steaks

    I've resorted to an electric knife. I can never slide down the spine like that so smoothly.

    Nice sharp knife. Ive honestly really struggled with keeping my fillet knives sharp like this. Sometimes I have kept only one or two salmon when I couldve taken more home becuase my knife only stays sharp for about 2 maybe three fish and then back to sharpening for hours lol

    People just comment those cuts were smooth but the real comment is what knife is that? Ferber fillet knives are good I’m a gerber fan in general but they are keeping that knife sharp and I recognize it on this channel for years

    I assumed cleaning bigger fish would be easier because there is more margin for error…

    Nice fillet man super fast but if you wanna get a little more and not waste it grab a spoon and scrape the spine in the fish and you get quite a bit of meat and if you got a couple fish it really adds up and you can make whatever with it very versatile cuz if I want a fish burger I'm sorry I'm never gonna cut up a nice fillet I'll always just pan fry

    If you take a spoon to the carcass and scrape the bones. You can remove the meat off the bones. It was the tip I just recently learned from watching the fishmongers over in Asia

      Na it’s about having control of the blade, any one can cut with a sharp blade but not everyone can cut with a sharp blade and ride against the spine without messing up and leaving meat on there.
