    doesnt judging distance get a bit easier with gridlines of 5 yards on the field? just sayin

    Levi 14 was an 8

      That is what it looked like here too. But I wasn't there able to get "nose to nose" with the shot as it were so I guess we have to accept what the judges say.

    17:36 freez frame , that arrow is out!!!!! Seriously if ASA does not get new Judges after this call , I will not watch again after 2019 .
    This is not the first time I've seen these two make horrible calls !!!!! But this is down right discusting !!! What a travesty!!! I like Levi as much as the next guy , but seriously what a horrible call.

    Levi did not shoot a 14 on that target!

    17:36 exactly why an arrow should be called by someone other then this judge! And Why that line pulled call should not be a rule! Because now it's up to a judge on who wins and takes it out of the shooters control! Meaning the judge can call that in for one guy and out for another it's the judges discretion instead of plan touching or not! This arrow is not only not touching but on a big screen TV it's not even moving the line crap call and disagree with the rule , and so should the pro's

    Nothing but respect for these shooters and it doesn't get any better than the class shown by Dan McCarthy......just gained more respect for him as well! These guys are amazing shooters, congrats to all!

    Those judges should be officiating a horse shoe tournament not a 3d tournament!

    Ill say this for the winner - a real gent, loves the competition and the competitors. A real good image portrayed of the sport by him. (Did levi refuse to shake hands before his last shot...?)

    Shooting on a marked field certainly helps a little.

      Not that much shooting on an angle (which is unknown to them). Trust me, nothing easy about this.

    Shooting open on a football field 😂😂😂😂! Now that’s funny!

    ok from the bottom he didn't hit the 14 but from the top he did. I looked again the top part of the circle goes wider than the bottom and it is a very close touch.

    Do they use range finders in this comp? Or is it a guess? Never seen this sort of comp before.

    • @CompetitionArcheryMedia

      This class cannot use range finders. They must judge each distance to the target. There is a class however that allows the archers to use range finders, it's called Known Pro.

    Poor old guy pulling arrows looked like he was half dead after first 5 mins.

    That 14 looked out but we wernt their to see if it cut the line

      Freeze frame @17:36 it's out there can clearly see it's not even pulling the line .
      I've seen the same thing with one clearly in freeze frame on 75" TV . And actually cost someone to lose 1st place in a shoot down on the 3rd extra arrow . These two guys ither
      Have favorites or they can't see very well at all. I'm not going to speculate which .
      But should not be calling arrows . And kutos to the camera crew for catching it !

    would have loved to see Christopher Perkins in this shootout, he's great at hitting 14s in a shootout

      Chris Perkins doesnt shoot this class he shoots known

    • @randy3577
      @randy3577 4 года назад

      @@munsie989 your right, he cant seem to compete in unknown, well at least not to the same level anyway. he does kill it in known though. every competition around my area almost has went to known. I hate that.

    • @munsie989
      @munsie989 4 года назад

      @@randy3577 The known class is soooo stacked with talent but i like unknown a little bit better due to the fact that your course management has to be flawless in order to win...most known guys gun straight at every bonus ring cuz they know exact distance and even if they miss its still close to pulling lines
