    It's not too often I see fellow car guys that are even relatively familiar with any type of programming. Keep up the great content!

      Yes thats true! I don't know much but enough to have some fun. Thank you

      Oh, oh, pick me! I have a game programming degree and I have even made network controlled robots, hahaha.

    Great video series on this. Well produced and understandable. I wish I took this time to document my project lol... nicely done!

    This is so cool. I hope it was fun and not to frustrating. I would have been scratching my head for a bit lol

    My glow shift boost gauge isnt the most accurate and I dont wanna spend the money for a aem x series gauge.. I think I might build one of these and try and use some thermo form plastic to make a gauge face for the screen!

    • @MtGarage
      @MtGarage  Год назад +1

      That's a great idea. Just make sure you have something to calibrate your sensor with - a pressure gauge of some sort

    This is awesome and I'd love to build one. If I use a smaller display, for example a 0.49 Inch OLED would it be a matter of changing the display parameters from the code or will it be messed up? Thanks and great job.

    • @MtGarage
      @MtGarage  Год назад +1

      Yes exactly, that's all you should need to change

    Hello, would you like to sell one of these to me 😊 Is it possible to have both egt and boost on same screen?

    • @MtGarage
      @MtGarage  Год назад

      Sorry i wouldn't be able to build one with enough quality that i would be happy selling, it's pretty ghetto! Yes you could have EGT and boost on the same screen, plus more! It's just a matter of programming it in

    Dude, you are a legend.
    I have a question about the code if that's okay, I made this last night, used the schematics on the arduino site you posted up.
    On mine, I used the lm2596, as you said on the arduino site. I guess that is to keep the voltage to the sensor constant regardless of input voltage.
    To get the "0 psi" value, I essentially just did a serialprint for A0.
    This gave me a idle value of around 8 psi.
    So I probed the sensor, found at atmosphere I get 1.784v in my case, found the equation to convert it to an analogue value, did that, however still getting the wrong idle value...
    When blowing into the map sensor too, it seems to forget numbers below about 10 exist 😂
    My question is, the bit where you divide by 13.5, how did you figure out that value?

      You'll have to go through a Trial & Error process to make the whole thing work properly. Use the serial monitor to monitor the values at each PSI or Bar whatever you want. Then create an equation and you should be able to make it working properly.

    Hi, do you have programming code you can share please ?

      The code is on the project page of the Arduino project hub. The link is in the description

      It appears I hadn't made the sketch public. The code should now be available from the project page.

    Dude such a fun little project. Makes me miss programming. I'm surprised nobody sells something like this other than full on digital screens for standalones. I know there are some gauges which let you read all sorts of info too, but something fun like just a fully customizable boost gauge could add a nice tough to a lot of cars. I could see people bringing back digital speeds and tachs like this too. Rad!

      Ya there's alot of potential with this thing. I agree it would be cool to see some products that were easy to use and affordable that let you run cool customizations like this. Something to consider..
