Fixing a machine that was given to you is usually less costly to you than buying one and, if you can fix it, it's more satisfying too. Nice job, Connor!
My neighbor threw one of those to the curb, 7hp tecumseh. I cleaned the carb and when I went to screw the bowl back in the brass bolt snapped off lol whoops. Guess it was too old. Bought a replacement carburetor on amazon for $12, and I'm back in action with my free snow blower again! Those old tecumseh snowking engines are solid as long as you keep the oil level proper. They were built about 15 minutes away from my house before the factory closed.
Yeah. We could talk about gas cans. Any gas can made in the last ten years under these EPA rules is as demented as the younger generation. Meant to prevent spills, causes twice as many spills.
Yeah, or the older generation is just too old and stubborn to try and understand how to use new stuff. We can generalize and think our respective generations are the best all day long, that won't get us anywhere, especially since it's complete and utter BS to think that a generation only has one type of people. Each generation has smart and stupid people, in equal amounts.
I was givien a yard machine with a Tecumseh 5.5hp machine and is missing the the bolt deal that secures the bowl to the carb, hopefully be a easy part to find and easy fix, ty
Connor...I laughed at the gas disposal and a few other things...but one serious question...is your furnace to heat your house located in the garage? I was doing the same thing one day and then quickly realized I shouldn't be using starter fluid and cleaning a carb in the garage because the furnace is in there...LOL. I quickly opened the door and aired things out before I had a problem. Not trying to be a safety sally, but figured I should mention it. Congrats on the snow blower!
The nut or bolt that holds the bowl on has holes in it. Clean the holes out. There is a very small hole near the top of the threads, and two larger ones near the head. Time for a helicoil for the muffler bolts. Good little machine!
I did clean out that bolt that holds the bowl I saw the holes in the bolt. I did record it. It did not fake the final cut. Video was too long. Helicoil... And ll have to look into that
Mr. Connor You Was Hilarious In That Video It Cracked Me Up When You Tried Installing The Gas Can Cap On The Gas Tank, And Hopefully The EPA Hasn't Seen Your Video Where You Dumped The Dirty Fuel But You Blurred That Part Out They Wont Know It Was You, Wink Wink...Erratic
I’ve got the greenest lawn but nobody can see it. That’s a statement Connor. 🤣😂👍👍 you could have painted the top layer of snow green with the “super juice” . Your domination is slipping.
Those older snow blowers generally have a large gap between the impeller and the impeller housing, which causes loss of throwing distance and clogging up of the chute with heavy wet snow. Try putting an impeller kit on it and you'll be amazed at the improvement in throwing distance, plus it will never clog up. Just search "impeller kit" on Amazon. Pretty easy install.
Dude same here, but paid 50$. It's also hard to get it running most of the time, similarly to what's shown in the video. I will have to try the fix. I dont have the owners manual cause it's so old but could you tell me how the choke and throttle positions are supposed to be set when you start it? I tried multiple setups and eventually I am able to start it but I have to really try multiple times with the electric starter (dont have the other way, missing the handle/string to pull)
Good job. Snowblowers are expensive. Especially for an item you only use maybe a few times a season. Make sure you regrease those propeller blades. Should be a grease fitting on the shaft somewhere.
You look so bitterly cold, or maybe it was the fact you could see your green grass underneath the super juice layer. Not too sure which one it was, but it sure was fun to watch! Check out the Tera Pump for your fuel cans. It runs off of 4 AA batteries, and can help you to stop losing fuel when you fill tanks.
So with the super juice and the snow. wouldn't you need another application at this point? you want to use the nutrients in the snow to make it greener??
@@rossboyd2272 my $20 has lasted 3 years so far. I'd say that's 20 well spent. I'd gladly spend 20 to swap out a carb then fighting trying to get one working.
Totally disagree. Been running a Tecemseh engine (practically the same as in this video) on a snowblower in MN with no issues for 10 seasons now without any issues. Keep it clean, and it beats the pants of Kohlers and B&S engines for cold starts every time. THAT is where Tecemseh shines.
@@KrisPierson Agreed I have an Ariens Pro with a 9.5hp Tecemseh its 14 years old, Change oil 1x a year and starts 1 pull on full choke after 6-8 months sitting! Great engine IMO!
Cold weather engines don't have air filters. The downside to that is you end up getting snow through the intake which works it way into the oil. And it's not teh cum see, it's teh cum suh.
Connor, I watch a RUclips channel called Mustie1. The guys name is Darren and he does a lot of tear downs on old snow blowers and lawn mowers often covering exactly the issues you have here. Check it out! I think you’ll find it worth while.
Just in case you need parts for your snowblower I figured you might appreciate a good parts source for your engine. 😁

This was comedy GOLD! 😂😂😂😂😂
Those Tecumseh engines are bullet proof 15 years never let me down
Your the best man. I thoroughly enjoy what you do and how you do it.
You need to stop dumping gas on the ground. You can use an oil catch container and dispose it with oil properly.

The EZ-pour ones are good.
I also find banging my snowblower on the garage floor when it won't start is helpful.
Wanted to make sure the float inside the bowl was not stuck in the up position. It was kind of sticking in the up position when I had the bowl off.
I absolutely love how you deal with the "I'm gonna hate on you because you're doing everything wrong" people :D Beautiful!

Was about to say the same thing.. you can make your own with a piece of rubber or mud flap

Yeah. True
Sweet success! Super Juice!
I love to snowblower my lawn as well, just need super juice
Two thumbs up! Always good entertainment but educational as well. Happy New Year to you and your family Connor!

For the record. Lcn has 5 mowers. Connor has 6.

Why do you blur out when you pour fuel on public road or drainage
Because its illegal
That wasn't fuel. Therefore, it's not illegal.

Common for snowblowers to not have air filters. Not a lot of dirt and the dust in the snow.

You need to do the impeller mod. It’ll throw snow over your roof.
I am not aware of that mod. I will look that up
All you need is an old rubber mud flap to cut into paddles and some self tapping screws to attach them to the impeller blades.
