Outstanding video! No drama, just everything you need to know. I took a small engine course at the local high school in order to maintain my equipment. My instructor who owned a repair shop told us the best thing to do was to only use premium gas and to run the carb dry every time you use the machine. I heard that transmission fluid works as a good rust preventive. As an aside...the best time to buy a snow thrower is at a yard sale in the summer! Thanks for your much needed video!

Thank you for posting this. I just recently worked on a MTD yardmachine snowblower and followed your lead. Now the unit is back to operation thanks to your video. The fuel bowl was gum'mied' up so cleaned that up, then I clean out the jet port, removed the the emulsion tube and finally carbed cleaned all the air inlet ports. I gotta say it runs like champ now and my neighbor is happier then a lark to see it back up and running!

@@Postman2007 that’s probably a safe bet. Newer carbs can have holes that could be bored out wrong. Leading to the owner doing a lot of tuning to get it right. You may have to adjust the screw a little bit if the machine doesn’t sound to be running quite right. Start with the same number of turns and go from there. Thanks for watching!

Best video I found...I applaud you. My blower is sputtering and slight backfire I cleaned my bowl and sprayed carb cleaner up the emulsion tube. Didn't solve a thing but with this video I will tackle it all.
I got one of these machines for free trading a 12 pack of beer to my neighbor just moved to Wisconsin. Works great just need to replace that electric start but it fired up no problem. Thank you for the in-depth tutorial

I have a 2008 Troy-bilt 2410 that looks exactly like this one. The process looks pretty involved but I think if I follow this video I could do this. Thanks for the information, so glad I stumbled onto your channel.
I got a MTD built (HUSKEE brand 2014 model) snow blower. I learned my lesson on ethanol gasoline by the second winter. I was having a rough time starting. After a carb clean, it ran like it should. Since then I always drain the tank and the carb bowl on a weekend in April and buy fresh gas then add a fuel stabilizer to my snowblower gas can in November.
Hey JB. I gave my YardMachine one phase snowblower a start in early November to get ready for the first storm. Well, the fist storm came and the S.O.B. Would not start. Performed the carb clean as you showed and it started on the first pull after I had done the yard by hand of course. Thanks for the help. Rob from Montreal, Quebec in Canada.
Thanks so much for posting this. I just finished this on my Craftsman that was surging super bad when the choke was off. It started on the second pull and purred like a kitten when the choke was off! My 3 yr old Craftsman 24" is surging super-bad too and I hate it! It's the spawn of Satin to me now! 😅 It pops too, did yours pop / backfire our the exhaust now and then? Smells of burning kerosene too, did yours? Also, just FYI, according to the "small engines guy", the one with the beers, even though you cleaned the carb' it'll probably start doing it again as the jet holes are too "dang pernickerty" small and should be filed larger with the next size up tiny round wire file to account for inevitable lacquer build-up. Have an 18 yr old MTD 26" two stage blower. I use it only about twice a year in the chicago area and have had a couple of winters in which it wasn't used at all. It has performed remarkably well so far and with your summer-izing tips, I am hopeful it will continue to run well for years to come.

I have had the same blower but a 24" for close to 15yrs. Unfortunately the maintenance was really slacked on but it still looks fairly new minimal rust except for in side auger shround and stills runs good. Getting ready to sell it to neighbor and getting a 30" toro 1030 which will be taken care of alot better thanks to your videos🤘🤘🤙🤙
This is a great video. I am working on a MTD single stage snow blower. The carb appears to be the same one, that you tore apart and cleaned. Like you stated in the video, it takes awhile to get to the carb. Next, I will clean mine. I hope that it goes back together, as well as it took to take apart.
Love watching your videos JB, I know how to clean simple carb for my Toro lawnmower and Pressure washer. I have a Toro 1028 snowblower and I have only able to take out the float bowl to spray the the inside of it because it is a pain to disassemble everything. I’ll grow some balls and will take it apart this Spring just like this video and will give it a deep cleaning. Great job as always JB. You take care of your equipment like I do and I have to respect a person who thinks like that. I, like you, do the preventative maintenance before hand, instead of waiting for something to break to fix it (usually in the dead of winter) But some people just never learn. Hopefully they will be watching your vids!
Harbor Freight makes an ultrasonic cleaner that's inexpensive. I use Simple Green mixed with distilled water 25% Simple Green. It does an amazing job. Get a set of welder's tip cleaners to push the crud out of the main jet and tube. Works like a champ, and the carb looks new when you're done.
When blowing a carb off you should talk about the soft seats which can fly out if blowing the fuel inlet the wrong way . When making videos you should try to cover all the possibilities that could happen , some people do not know any better . Good video .
If I knew where you lived I'd drop off my Old 1995 8/26 MTD in your driveway and RUN 🏃 - I lent it to my brother to plow my dad's driveway, he recently passed, but I don't think he used it for five years (I think the gunk inside might even be worse than what you showed) - maybe I will revisit your video and take on the challenge in the warmer weather months - that is if I don't find out where you live first! LOL. My newer TORO works fine, because I do the winterizing... thanks for the video.
Great video.Attention to every detail. I am surprised you didn't check the gear oil in the auger. The seals leak around the shafts and the gear lube should be checked. Mine took about 2 ounces to fill because the seals leak on my 15 year old blower. I have replaced the brass gear on 2 different blowers due to no lube in the gear box

On more than one occasion, Berryman B-12 has saved me from having to open up the carbs on my snowblowers. A whole can mixed into one gallon of fuel works wonders.
Great video. I have a similar MTD. I have two belts on order for the Augers. Your Ariens is a good looking machine. Noticed your Honda gas mower. Another great machine. Honda is going to stop making lawn mowers.
Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.
I just bought a pre-owned snowblower exactly like this one. I’ve never owned one before. I want to take care of it for the long term but I don’t know how to start. For someone like me who doesn’t know much about machinery, What would you say the first 3 things I should start work on?

Awesome video. Thanks for the guide. Followed your directions, cleaned the carb, put it back on, and got my machine to start (before it would start and die immediately. I can get the machine to start with the choke on and I can get it released halfway, but once it's full throttle it stalls. Do I need to reclean (the carb actually looked really clean to begin with but I know any small spec can throw things off) or should I go with a new carb?
Hey Justin, kind of hard to tell without seeing it in action. In the past this happened to me and I recleaned the jets out really quick and that fixed it. I would double check all the jets. It sounds like it’s getting a bad air to fuel ratio somehow. Also check your linkages. Worst case scenario look into buying a new carb. Let me know how it works out for you. Thanks for watching!
@@timhall4036 I tried re-cleaning, still to no avail. I purchased a new carb for $18 and threw it on. Works like a charm! I will say that thanks to this video I have a greater understanding and curiosity regarding small engine work.
You mentioned the Ariens, A friend gave me one that she cannot get to run properly and I think the same thing applies the carb is full of bad gas and maybe was sitting waiting for some TLC but did not get it. I also heard that the Briggs engine was engineered to run lean is there a fix for that if it is true. Any thoughts on that?
Nice video, questions, I got troy bilt 2840, it has gas leaking at rear valve on carburetor. I replaced with repair kit. Including: needle, flood,main center jet and bowel gasket. But it’s still leaking. Any suggestions.

I have one of these and have had it for several years (10+). Oil changes, cleaning and non ethanol gas has kept it running. Also a good tip is to lube the electric starter shaft. I noticed my paint cracking on the 2nd stage cover (where the chute sits ) Any ideas what causes this?
Hey Rat! These blowers aren’t exactly the greatest in terms of overall durability. The metal is thin and the paint is weak in my experience. Touch up paint and rust proofing sprays will be your friend! Thanks for watching another!
Have you ever come across a needle valve that the chrome plating has peeled off up inside the carb and cause the gas to fill up the crank case and even run out on the floor. I had 3 needle valves do that to me, on 2 different machines. Both Yard King or something that close. I still believe the Ethanol fuel with the Alcohol in the fuel causes a lot of problems if not than why when I buy straight gas I don't get the B S like Ethanol fuel.
Cant say that I’ve seen this happen before. But there’s a first time for everything! Ethanol free is totally the way to go with these! Thanks for watching Sfcr! 👍
Biggest issue I see is the lack of a fuel shutoff valve. With a valve, I run the carb dry after every use. I have added a shutoff valve to all of my snowblowers and lawnmowers. Since a lawnmower is used much more frequently, I only run it out of gas at the end of the season. This prevents the gumming issues seen in this video. The problem with this engine appears to be routing the fuel line to make a shutoff valve accessible.
@@GarageGear I installed the fuel shutoff valve. To improve access, I cut off the plastic below the choke knob. This allowed the fuel line downstream of the valve to be accessed to drain the tank in the spring. This is one of the more difficult engine arrangements I have seen. The plastic cover is difficult to reinstall because the crankcase ventilation hose and the primer hose become unconnected when the cover is removed. Really makes me wonder how they were able to assemble the carb to the engine in the first place. Not a particularly good design. The tank was dry but I installed the fuel shutoff before trying to start. Snowblower starts on the first pull now. The drive required adjustment since it went forward in the first reverse gear.
How important is it to use the compressed air to blow out tbe parts? Most of us wont have a compressor but you havent mentioned the cans of compressed sir folks might like to hear asbout and to save money - is it important or can we let the parts sit and evaporate?
What happens if you don't reconnect the breather tube to the air intake cover? Other than possibly getting caught in carb's moving parts... Reason asking is I bought a snowblower and the guy said he changed the carb, but I can see the breather tube is just hanging.

@@GarageGear In the age of China and the internet, I can't believe how cheap a lot of things have become. My family and I had a power equipment dealership from the 70s through the late 90s. 30 years ago, this carb would have been twice that from my distributors.
Hey pip! I feel your pain with this one. Been there before. You have a couple of options. A local hardware/small engine shop may have one. Just tell them your model. Call to see if they have it. This might be EXACTLY what I need to do for my 10+ year old Craftsman that’s been running pretty rough the past few seasons. (Buffalo winters can be rough! Lol) Following this video, how long would you think a first-timer might need to do all of this?
Don't, not until you've added some carb injector cleaner and run that through several goes, maybe one tank of gas, and seen how that improves things. (Add calculated amount based on label instructions or ask JB of Garage Gear. If it does help, leave it the heck alone and count your lucky stars! That's my opinion for what it's worth!
This is why I'm going to replace my current snowblower with a battery-electric model. No more gummed up carburetors. No more oil changes. No more 91 octane fuel.
The carb on this snowblower looks a lot more intimidating than the one on my lawn mower. How much can I expect to pay for professional service from my dealer? Ballpark range will do. Btw you do an excellent step by step video. I will spread the word.

I'm on the east coast and the average cost runs between $150 and $169 for a full tune up not including parts. I have the exact same snow blower in the video above. Whatever the cost in your area is, it will he worth it being it will save time and stress in your back
Still have surging problem when put in run, cleaned everything out twice. Not sure why the surging problem won’t go away… it’ll run smooth in half choke. Carb was actually fairly clean as well, so I’m not sure where the surge is coming from.. any help would be appreciated.

Well carb clean #3 did the trick. Gave all the small holes a really really good clean this time just to make sure. Might’ve bored a couple a touch bigger getting the pick through, but it did the trick 👍🏻. Thanks for the great advice on the video!!!

Hey fitz, I am aware that new carbs for these models are pretty cheap. I found however they needed a ton of adjustments. I takes me about ten minutes to clean these carbs. I find it easier to clean them than to mess with adjustments for a half hour or so. Thanks for watching! 👍
I think you did a really nice travel on everything. But I must confess that I am surprised. You did not lubricate the auger shaft and the share pias, well as remove the tires and lubricate the shafts. Also because spark plugs are so cheap I would have just replaced it. Nice video, I would have liked to have seen you rinse the gas tank with a little fresh gas just for good measure, but maybe you did out of the cameras view.
@@GarageGear Yea as stated, no doubt things were done off camera. I just went to hell and back over a number of months trying to fix my snow blower that would run and then stop after a couple minutes. Carb cleaned, tank flushed, Sea Foam added, everything all to no avail. So, what was wrong with my snow blower? My gas cap was failing to vent causing it to pull a vacuum which starved the carb of gas, still hard to believe such an easy fix. I thought to myself, can it really be something that simple? Who would have ever thought to check something like that...Ugh!
@@GarageGear Give me your thoughts on summer storage? I know there are three schools of thought on summer storage. 1. Run the blower completely out of gas. 2. Add a fuel stabilizer to the gas. 3. Start the blower ever 30-45 day and let it run a bit. I am probably in the number 3 camp currently. What say you?

On our yardworks ..that bolt by the shoot ..ya still cant get at it even if i remove the belt cover as it sits or hides just enough behind the steel piece that the shoot mechanism sits on top or ..so i had to cut it .

Hey Jorge, this is one of those situations where I would have to see what the problem is to better understand it but I can say this, sometimes new carbs depending on who makes them and have different or incorrectly drilled jets. Or you may picked up the wrong carburetor/been sent the wrong carburetor. Tough to say but I would check all your connections and you may want to do a side by side comparison of the two carbs to see if anything is different. Let me know what you find out. @@GarageGear i bought a replacement of the same style carburetor that was on there. I could get it to prime before installation on the bench-actually both of them. The old one and the new one. But once I installed it- nothing. A 30 min job turned into 2 hours of headscratching and diagnosing🤦🏽♂️
@@jorgepizarro3327 got it. You could try taking it to a shop to what the issue is but I have seen newer carbs not drilled right. Leading to further issues. You try asking around for a mechanic on Facebook too to see if someone can help you out.

You may have to adjust the screw a little bit if the machine doesn’t sound to be running quite right. Start with the same number of turns and go from there. Thanks for watching!

Best video I found...I applaud you. My blower is sputtering and slight backfire I cleaned my bowl and sprayed carb cleaner up the emulsion tube. Didn't solve a thing but with this video I will tackle it all.

I got a MTD built (HUSKEE brand 2014 model) snow blower. I learned my lesson on ethanol gasoline by the second winter. I was having a rough time starting. After a carb clean, it ran like it should. Since then I always drain the tank and the carb bowl on a weekend in April and buy fresh gas then add a fuel stabilizer to my snowblower gas can in November.

My 3 yr old Craftsman 24" is surging super-bad too and I hate it! It's the spawn of Satin to me now! 😅 It pops too, did yours pop / backfire our the exhaust now and then? Smells of burning kerosene too, did yours?
Also, just FYI, according to the "small engines guy", the one with the beers, even though you cleaned the carb' it'll probably start doing it again as the jet holes are too "dang pernickerty" small and should be filed larger with the next size up tiny round wire file to account for inevitable lacquer build-up. I hope this helps us both. I'm awaiting the summer just in-case something goes wrong. 😉

Have an 18 yr old MTD 26" two stage blower. I use it only about twice a year in the chicago area and have had a couple of winters in which it wasn't used at all. It has performed remarkably well so far and with your summer-izing tips, I am hopeful it will continue to run well for years to come.

I have had the same blower but a 24" for close to 15yrs. Unfortunately the maintenance was really slacked on but it still looks fairly new minimal rust except for in side auger shround and stills runs good. Getting ready to sell it to neighbor and getting a 30" toro 1030 which will be taken care of alot better thanks to your videos🤘🤘🤙🤙

This is a great video. I am working on a MTD single stage snow blower. The carb appears to be the same one, that you tore apart and cleaned. Like you stated in the video, it takes awhile to get to the carb. Next, I will clean mine. I hope that it goes back together, as well as it took to take apart.

I would recommend to add gasoline to the gas tank and check for leaks before putting everything back together. Otherwise it started on the first try!!

I have a Toro 1028 snowblower and I have only able to take out the float bowl to spray the the inside of it because it is a pain to disassemble everything. Harbor Freight makes an ultrasonic cleaner that's inexpensive. I use Simple Green mixed with distilled water 25% Simple Green. It does an amazing job. Get a set of welder's tip cleaners to push the crud out of the main jet and tube. Works like a champ, and the carb looks new when you're done.

When blowing a carb off you should talk about the soft seats which can fly out if blowing the fuel inlet the wrong way . When making videos you should try to cover all the possibilities that could happen , some people do not know any better . Good video .

If I knew where you lived I'd drop off my Old 1995 8/26 MTD in your driveway and RUN 🏃 - I lent it to my brother to plow my dad's driveway, he recently passed, but I don't think he used it for five years (I think the gunk inside might even be worse than what you showed) - maybe I will revisit your video and take on the challenge in the warmer weather months - that is if I don't find out where you live first! Great video.Attention to every detail. I am surprised you didn't check the gear oil in the auger. The seals leak around the shafts and the gear lube should be checked. Mine took about 2 ounces to fill because the seals leak on my 15 year old blower. I have replaced the brass gear on 2 different blowers due to no lube in the gear box

On more than one occasion, Berryman B-12 has saved me from having to open up the carbs on my snowblowers. A whole can mixed into one gallon of fuel works wonders.

Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

Awesome video. Thanks for the guide. Followed your directions, cleaned the carb, put it back on, and got my machine to start (before it would start and die immediately. I can get the machine to start with the choke on and I can get it released halfway, but once it's full throttle it stalls. Do I need to reclean (the carb actually looked really clean to begin with but I know any small spec can throw things off) or should I go with a new carb?
Hey Justin, kind of hard to tell without seeing it in action. In the past this happened to me and I recleaned the jets out really quick and that fixed it. I would double check all the jets. It sounds like it’s getting a bad air to fuel ratio somehow. Also check your linkages. Worst case scenario look into buying a new carb. Let me know how it works out for you. Thanks for watching!

You mentioned the Ariens, A friend gave me one that she cannot get to run properly and I think the same thing applies the carb is full of bad gas and maybe was sitting waiting for some TLC but did not get it. I also heard that the Briggs engine was engineered to run lean is there a fix for that if it is true. Any thoughts on that?

Nice video, questions, I got troy bilt 2840, it has gas leaking at rear valve on carburetor. I replaced with repair kit. Including: needle, flood,main center jet and bowel gasket. But it’s still leaking. Any suggestions.

I have one of these and have had it for several years (10+). Oil changes, cleaning and non ethanol gas has kept it running. Also a good tip is to lube the electric starter shaft. I noticed my paint cracking on the 2nd stage cover (where the chute sits ) Any ideas what causes this?
Hey Rat! These blowers aren’t exactly the greatest in terms of overall durability. The metal is thin and the paint is weak in my experience. Touch up paint and rust proofing sprays will be your friend! Thanks for watching another!

Have you ever come across a needle valve that the chrome plating has peeled off up inside the carb and cause the gas to fill up the crank case and even run out on the floor. I had 3 needle valves do that to me, on 2 different machines. Both Yard King or something that close.
I still believe the Ethanol fuel with the Alcohol in the fuel causes a lot of problems if not than why when I buy straight gas I don't get the B S like Ethanol fuel.
Cant say that I’ve seen this happen before. But there’s a first time for everything! Ethanol free is totally the way to go with these! Thanks for watching Sfcr! 👍
Biggest issue I see is the lack of a fuel shutoff valve. With a valve, I run the carb dry after every use. I have added a shutoff valve to all of my snowblowers and lawnmowers. Since a lawnmower is used much more frequently, I only run it out of gas at the end of the season. This prevents the gumming issues seen in this video. The problem with this engine appears to be routing the fuel line to make a shutoff valve accessible.
It almost like you have to cut a hole in the side of plastic panel to make room for them. Thanks for watching Les!
@@GarageGear I installed the fuel shutoff valve. To improve access, I cut off the plastic below the choke knob. This allowed the fuel line downstream of the valve to be accessed to drain the tank in the spring. This is one of the more difficult engine arrangements I have seen. The plastic cover is difficult to reinstall because the crankcase ventilation hose and the primer hose become unconnected when the cover is removed. Really makes me wonder how they were able to assemble the carb to the engine in the first place. Not a particularly good design. The tank was dry but I installed the fuel shutoff before trying to start. Snowblower starts on the first pull now. The drive required adjustment since it went forward in the first reverse gear.

How important is it to use the compressed air to blow out tbe parts? Most of us wont have a compressor but you havent mentioned the cans of compressed sir folks might like to hear asbout and to save money - is it important or can we let the parts sit and evaporate?

What happens if you don't reconnect the breather tube to the air intake cover? Other than possibly getting caught in carb's moving parts... Reason asking is I bought a snowblower and the guy said he changed the carb, but I can see the breather tube is just hanging.

Hey pip! I feel your pain with this one. Been there before. You have a couple of options. A local hardware/small engine shop may have one. Just tell them your model. Call to see if they have it. Don't, not until you've added some carb injector cleaner and run that through several goes, maybe one tank of gas, and seen how that improves things. (Add calculated amount based on label instructions or ask JB of Garage Gear. If it does help, leave it the heck alone and count your lucky stars! That's my opinion for what it's worth!
This is why I'm going to replace my current snowblower with a battery-electric model. No more gummed up carburetors. No more oil changes. No more 91 octane fuel.

Still have surging problem when put in run, cleaned everything out twice. Not sure why the surging problem won’t go away… it’ll run smooth in half choke. Carb was actually fairly clean as well, so I’m not sure where the surge is coming from.. any help would be appreciated.

Hey fitz, I am aware that new carbs for these models are pretty cheap. I found however they needed a ton of adjustments. I takes me about ten minutes to clean these carbs. I find it easier to clean them than to mess with adjustments for a half hour or so. Thanks for watching! 👍

I think you did a really nice travel on everything. But I must confess that I am surprised. You did not lubricate the auger shaft and the share pias, well as remove the tires and lubricate the shafts. Also because spark plugs are so cheap I would have just replaced it. I just went to hell and back over a number of months trying to fix my snow blower that would run and then stop after a couple minutes. Carb cleaned, tank flushed, Sea Foam added, everything all to no avail. So, what was wrong with my snow blower? My gas cap was failing to vent causing it to pull a vacuum which starved the carb of gas, still hard to believe such an easy fix. I thought to myself, can it really be something that simple? Who would have ever thought to check something like that...Ugh!

@@GarageGear Give me your thoughts on summer storage? I know there are three schools of thought on summer storage. 1. Run the blower completely out of gas. 2. Add a fuel stabilizer to the gas. 3. On our yardworks ..that bolt by the shoot ..ya still cant get at it even if i remove the belt cover as it sits or hides just enough behind the steel piece that the shoot mechanism sits on top or ..so i had to cut it .

@@GarageGear Say just out of curiosity can that steel shoot arm ill call it ,can it be removed then one can get at that exsucet cover bolt? i mean how would a mechanic go about removing it .and besides all the designer had to do was have a notch at that spot ..Oh and i like your idea with the wrench..lol

Would you suggest starting your snowblower everyday during late fall early winter even if you don’t need to use it yet
I would recommend starting it up probably once a week or every other week in the fall or early winter to make sure everything is in order. Always a good plan! Thanks for watching mark!

I actually put a brand new carburetor on and it doesn't prime.
There's fuel in the bowl but there's nothing squirting out through the jet
Hey Jorge, this is one of those situations where I would have to see what the problem is to better understand it but I can say this, sometimes new carbs depending on who makes them and have different or incorrectly drilled jets. Or you may picked up the wrong carburetor/been sent the wrong carburetor. Tough to say but I would check all your connections and you may want to do a side by side comparison of the two carbs to see if anything is different. Let me know what you find out. @@GarageGear i bought a replacement of the same style carburetor that was on there.
I could get it to prime before installation on the bench-actually both of them. The old one and the new one.
But once I installed it- nothing.
A 30 min job turned into 2 hours of headscratching and diagnosing🤦🏽♂️
@@jorgepizarro3327 got it. You could try taking it to a shop to what the issue is but I have seen newer carbs not drilled right. Leading to further issues. You try asking around for a mechanic on Facebook too to see if someone can help you out.
JB you need to get a gallon of WD40 and one of their spray bottles. Use it all the time on small equipment.
