It's LS so yes it can and a lot more.

@@JustaPilot1 I have had a lot of folks tell me than an LS engine in an airplane is a bad idea though due to the constant load. I'm ignorant and researching. Can you provide any documentation that would indicate than an LS engine is okay to use in this way? 'cause I'd much rather do that than fork over the money for an IO540 =)

IF ANY AUTO ENGINE WILL WORK, IT WILL BE CHEVROLET. I LOVE THE LS ENGINS. JUST DONT KNOW IF I WANT TO FLY ONE. REVS ARE TO HIGH AT CRUISE. LIKE A 4:56 GEAR ON HIGH WAY...
