One of my favorite Tarja era songs : ) . For me "Walking in the Air" is still my all time favorite, but this song and" 10th man down " and of course "The Siren" come close

The golden times of Oceanborn ! They are so awesome already almost when teenagers. Boys have short hair just done military service and baby faced original Taja voice from Sibelius Academy is one of the reasons why I found NW.

The guys have short hair here, because they had recently gone through the Finnish military service, which is conscript based. Meaning all men go through it, except some religious minorities. Or then for reasons of conscience they do civil service duties at the same time - like serve the elderly people in their housings etc.
@@KristinKali Haha - my name Timo is not nearly unique in Finland :) it was about 10th most common at the time of my birth. Now it's close to a generational name: for men past 40. But my family name is rare. But glad you got something from my comment!
This is first time for me too to see this video. They were so young but very professional even back then. Only I was already old in 1999. We shall always remember that Tarja was and still is very charismatic performer. How great Floor is, she didn't invent the stage presence. Cute ears btw.
Thank you for this Kristin! It was a lot of fun on the livestream! At the very beginning, they set the level very high, creating their own sound. Even today when someone says that a band combines melodic metal and an opera singer sounds weird, but when you listen to music, it's so beautiful.

Tuomas just past 20 and he composed this. And Emppu could play the guitar that well already. Many who've tried guitar can never reach that.
