When I was on training to get my A&P license, these videos helped me to understand a lot of safety, maintenance, and operational details. it was on late 70s early 80s. Now that these videos are available here i want to express my sincere appreciation for all you efforts.
I love these old videos, especially as I'm going through flight training. Having grown up watching the "Little Rascals," I also enjoyed seeing Alfalfa Switzer as Mac.
That is not Don Rickles. He was born in 1926. There’s a photo of him serving in the Navy and he is a very young looking kid. Carl Switzer (Alfalfa from the Little Rascals) who plays the accident-prone cadet, was born in 1927.
These are the films shown at Bowling Green be for ANDREW in the war… Then the kids will go up to Gross ille where Commander John hoyt Got them ready to go to the fleet
Man they spared no expense with the three high profile actors and the damage they inflicted on the planes especially the plane that flipped over on the ground. Now what would have been hilarious back in those days is if they had hired the three stooges 😅

the pre-flight inspection is so similar to the one I perform on a Cessna 152 including the magneto check
Back in the days when everything was analog, and mechanical. Things were easier, and simple in those days.
The instructor is american actor and lieutenant Robert Taylor!

Wow that's Don rickels as the filth chief he actually in the navy at that time. And alfalfa as the pilot who's not paying attention
All through the movie, I kept asking myself if that was Don Rickles!
