@@VattenFrk still doesn't make sense on why the guy decided to perma, it seemed quite extreme for the situation, if he instead charged the cops, got shot down, and perma'ed off of that, it woulda made more sense overall.

Means the character permanently dies in the server, you can't play it anymore, all posessions are lost in that character, and its removed from your account.
RP wise, you can no longer hang out with the people you used to, all social conections are lost.
New char=new life, new backstory, new everything. Gotta start from scratch as an stranger to everyone. (at least thats how usually goes RP wise).

Billing a guy after he dies? Seriously? If a criminal dies while committing a crime in real life cops don’t bill them for it. I get that it’s a game, but that’s just uncalled for.
