I was pretty disappointed with my 1837 Brunswick. I had bought a number of weapons from IMA. And for most part they was in good shape. But my 1837 Brunswick was nothing less then a total wreak. Stock was missing large chunks all over. The stock down the middle was split in three sections. It was missing nose cap, rear sight, trigger guard, rear sling swivel. The remanufactured butt plate And patch box cover needed a lot of work to make it fit. Then again what was the point. My stock was nothing less the cord wood for burning! And I paid $560. For this? Like I said very disappointed with IMA! I guess I'm done buying any further project weapons from them.

I hope u checked the breech plug threads, mine looked a lot like yours but cleaned up great untill i got to the rusted out threads, im sure it would have blown out the back
