Your gargoyle is Fantastic! I love this art piece you completed!! I made a 3d project for a college class. I used a scrap piece of dock foam for my carving project, using a exacto knife and hot knife to cut and melt the foam. I did this project on a picnic table (covered with a $-store plastic table cloth) as the melting of the foam is toxic and needed to be done outside at this point. After I got my piece cut out as I wanted I used "aluminum foil tape" used the home sub floor to cover joints of air ducts for furnaces. (hardware store item). This I cut with scissors and covered and filled the entire sculpture and crevices with the shinny aluminum tape. After that I purchased a "Ceramic Tile (pre-mixed) Thin-Set Mortar" in a 1/2 gallon tub to cover my art piece. (I used a putty knife and my fingers (in disposable exam gloves) to apply this putty. It now looks like stone instead of blue dock foam. It dried very hard and in my design I also used colorful mosaic glass, shell pieces, beads and colored sand to be glued into the groves completing my project. It was a lot of fun! If you are interested, I can send you a .jpg photo of my Egyptian owl art project via email.
Perfect video at a perfect time, my cat is sitting on me so I’m obligated to not move until she moves. It’s really satisfying to watch this little gargoyle come to form from beginning to end. Beautiful work ☺️ Do you save larger left over pieces for future projects?
•.Violet Yagi.• I mean.... their project should be done by now bud But yeah i heard it’s bad for you maybe use the normal type of foam (the ones really meant to be sculpted)

Is there any reason you chose floral foam? Great work btw!
Good work, definitely inspiring.
Is there a machine that can cut this shapes?
What’s the size of the brick that was used for this?
Did you use wet or dry floral foam?
Is it not necessary to dip that foam in water before using?
I wish the music wasn't there because floral foam sounds so damn majestic 🥴🥴😍😍😍
