I finally took the dive after being somewhat bored in between patches and took this challenge as a way of seeing how far I've come in the game. I thought it would be easy. It wasn't. An Ultimate is still an Ultimate and you really feel it, no matter which one you do. It is without a doubt the hardest content in the game. The mechanics come out faster than any other content. It is in a league of it's own. It took me a month of party finder prog because the new Pandaemonium Savage tier was out and everyone was doing it. I struggled. I died and wiped in every way you can imagine, yet despite all of that, I have the recording of my clear on my channel. It is one of my biggest achievements in Final Fantasy 14. A master has failed far more times than a beginner. You will die to primal memes. You will die to Garuda enrage. You will die to Ifrit dashes and nails. You will fail the Titan gaols. You will be killed by Annihilation, Predation and Suppression. You will wipe to an enrage right at the very end of the fight. But so has everyone who's ever cleared. Your clear will depend on the answer to one single question and that question is this: How badly do you want it?
Excited to try Ultimates when the time arises. Should note: "a master has failed more times than a beginner has tried", is the more common usage of the phrase. Regardless, its meaning rings true. Cheers
I did all the four ultimate fights (except TOP obviously) in party finder on EU Light. As for me most easiest of them was UWU and TEA i struggle with UCOB like 1 month in pf while TEA got me 4 days before seeing perfect alexander and 1 week for UWU as my second ultimate. For DSR i prog like 3 and half weeks surprisingly then got my kill. I don't know if any datacenter does ultimate like EU does but most time if there's a 40-50 high end raid list on pf 20 of them only for ultimates. I'm little bit lucky to starting game at Light datacenter because i heard some stories from other servers. End of the comment i wanna say this, most difficult part of the pf ultimating is to fill party... I know myself waiting at limsa 6 hours before pf filling finally. Congrulations on your first clear and hoping it's not last for you don't lose hope whatever happens
I feel like someday I'll have a mentor icon, Demi-Ozma, Ultima weapon, Elemental Armor, Necromancer title and when people ask me ANYTHING about a simple mechanic I'll be responding "don't ask me. I suck in this game!" and totally mean it... We always make things feel way worse than they really are when it comes to instances and party content. We always thing everybody has their eyes on us, judging every move we make and every little rotation mistake, when in reality most of the time they just think the same! This game is so well-balanced and with such a great community that we 're all pretty much sprouts in some type of content! Don't be afraid to try the hardest thing you want to try (just don't lie about knowing what you do...) and it's a HUGE confidence-boost when you finally succeed! Congrats on both making and showing it to those of us who we're afraid to break our limits
Watching this video gave me the confidence to finally try an ultimate even though I only started playing in June and had only done the endwalker extremes, and two days ago, after about a week and a half of progging through pf, I cleared UWU not only once but three times! So I just wanted to say thanks for making this
From experience (I cleared TEA and UWU in PF), I can say PF can be a nightmare if you are someone who learns mainly by doing. If you dont absorb information well visually and/or audio, it will be a slogfest. It is by no means impossible, but your prog will be considerably slowed because there will be hours spent putting together a party just to get 0 experience on the mech you are actually progging...And it will only get worse as you progress through the fight. If you are someone who has more of a visual/audio type learning style, PF can actually speed up prog tremendously. Things go from "i need to rep this out several times before im comfortable" to "I can easily get this down first try after seeing povs and guides" or "I just need to get a feel for it once and im good". What become trap parties actually become good experience for you because where others in your party are making mistakes, you have not actually seen, so while you can do it, you gain more comfortability that will help you focus on future harder mechanics that you may not be able to breeze through. Regardless, PFing ultis are an accomplish and show dedication as hell it takes awhile just for PFs to fill sometimes XD. congrats!
@Phoenix Yeah but foken hate that mentality. In theory everything looks "Aight looks pretty decent, gucci".. but then being in the heat of battle hits you like truck. Guides can never replace the feeling.
I'm def in the same boat as you. I've tried to do savage content multiple times but every static I've attempted to join or form has fell apart. I've cleared p1s in PF several times, and have unsynced the omega raids, but other than that I've basically threw my hands up with it and relegated myself to doing the usual extremes. However lately I have really been wanting to get my hands on a weapon from uwu. Everyone says that you need to clear a tier of savage before considering ultimate so my motivation has been very low... and the prospect of finding a static just for uwu with very little savage experience seems very unlikely... but now that I've seen this vid there's hope lol. I just might give it a shot now. Thanks!
This was an awesome story on your first ultimate experience. I'll share mine as it shares some similarities: When DSR released, I had just gotten through my first savage tier through a mix of PF & a casual static. I saw how cool DSR looked, and with HW being my favorite expansion, I decided on doing DSR as my first ultimate. Although friends of mine objected, saying I should start with UWU as my first ultimate, I was determined to do DSR instead. I found a static for DSR that was 9 hours of prog per week, and several of these players had cleared previous ultimates (including TEA), so I thought it would be a decent enough group to tackle DSR. Although each player had their own strengths and weaknesses, very few had the strengths needed to prog a fight like DSR --- mechanical consistency above all else. This meant constant wipes on p2 and p3, despite having progged through those phases and the group ended up disbanding after getting to p5 after a few months. I had a good time through it all and enjoyed having that group as my first static for an ultimate. During the time we were progging as a static, I would join PF during my free time and was progging the fight ahead of my static through there. I was getting to improve consistency on mechanics I had seen and experiment with PF strats (some good, some bad) and bring what I felt was best back to the static to hopefully improve the prog speed there. In the end, I had progged into p6 of DSR in PF when my static broke up at the start of p5. P6 became the wall for me in DSR --- parties that were progging P6 could never reach it, and P7 parties were actually just P6 parties... so I felt like I couldn't prog anymore without a new group. I ended up finding 2 new groups to push for the clear within the final month before 6.2 savage released, and got to p7 enrage several times without a clear. The groups ended up disbanding as the new savage came out and people had other obligations. I kept at it in PF for another week, and after 1 final week was able to get my first clear in PF of DSR. It felt awesome to finally accomplish after nearly 4 months and ~600 hours spent on the fight. Afterwards, i was able to join other statics and reclear DSR a dozen more times, clear UWU & TEA, and am now progging TOP in a mix of static and PF (mainly with people in the static). There is nothing quite like clearing your first ultimate through effort alone and the experience improved me as a player considerably. I'm excited for the current ultimate, will go back to finish UCOB eventually, and then I look forward to what new ultimates the team can cook up.
I have cleared today 30 mins ago in a Party Finder, this video gave me the confidence to start by joining a fresh party and going up from there, I played as the main tank and managed to get my clear in 4 weeks, thank you for giving me the starting push!
When I watched this video like 2 months ago I just thought it was cool but crazy and didn't think much about it. Now that I also got my first UwU clear in PF, I relate to so many things here man. I didn't go through the entire thing from start as PF, I was lucky to find a static just as insane as me that didn't require a savage tier. We raided for 1 month 3 days a week, progged to Titan cleanup, then they disbanded because 6.4 is very close and we were having serious scheduling problems. It was extremely fun though, we're keeping in touch because I love those guys. Anyway, That was 5 days ago, the night we disbanded I progged to Annihilation, then the next day I got through Suppression and started joining kill parties doing raids for at least 6-8 hours every night. I've been sleep deprived for the past couple of days because we would stop trying at 12 AM ST -at which point the only reason we stopped was our degrading performance-. I, too, had a mini static of 4-5 people that I met every single day, including my other ranged DNC, a tank PLD, a chad RDM acting melee, and occasionally a SAM with a SGE that appeared every day except for the last. And in the 3 days I was stuck on kill parties I can say that most of the kill parties are Annihilation/Suppression prog parties. I didn't get stuck much on Garuda/Ifrit, however a few people in kill parties still don't have the cleanup. There are also trolls. We had a DRK that would shirk and get the entire party killed right before Annihilation on purpose. I had an AST that would stay for too long with the party after they receive Searing Wind and wipe us all for 1 GCD of damage. After DRK did that thrice and AST did that twice the parties disbanded. That was the general experience the last day too. Then we got replacements, then a healer left right after they failed Gaols for whatever reason and our RPR had to leave because he had the morning shift the next day. We filled those two spots quite fast. Now, after we replace, especially in the first pull, my initial thought is "okay, which mechanic that requires synchronization do we fail?". Because that's what usually happens especially within DPS players and tanks. Plumes go fine, Spiny doesn't die early, nails are DPS'd to 10% each before awakening, Titan gaols are perfectly placed, no impossible pattern on Titan nor Predation, no one dies in Annihilation, Gaol is killed in half the cast on Suppression, no one dies in Suppression, tank actually remembers to take tether, stack goes perfect, LB3 fills for Ultima (I wiped here before and it was painful), everyone knows what to do on Aetheric Boom and we get a second tank LB to make sure... Primal roulette is Titan -> Ifrit -> Garuda and everyone knows how the patterns work... Yeah! Even as I was there hitting Ultima Weapon on Enrage timer I couldn't believe it, we 1 pulled the fight as a kill party. It went smoother than anything I've ever seen. I cried tears of joy when it finally happened. I finally got my 100 Allagan Tomestones of Poetics! I absolutely love UWU as a fight, it is very fun. I love how it isn't necessarily complicated but still requires very precise movement. I love how the first 3 phases are a tutorial for the last phase, and I absolutely love how thematically fitting it is for me as a SMN player. I spent over a month on it, but I never got to the point where I was almost losing my mind which is what happened on Mount Ordeals Ex (3 days) and P5S (4 days - same as PF part of my UWU). Now, totem parties... Which I've been told are not much different than prog parties, but we'll see. Light DC PF has been better than I've expected. 1 down, 14 left to go. I wrote all of this to say thank you BigBluePurple. Before I saw this video I thought it was just masochistical and stupid to try any ultimate on PF, this video is what gave me the hope to keep going after my static disbanded.
@@bigbluepurple thanks again! It's been a while since you made this video, but I hope your UCoB adventure will go/is going nicely as well. Best of luck!
Just cleared UwU in PF 2 days ago, barely getting the kill mere days before the launch of Dawntrail! While most of my prog was done in a static, the majority of my Ultima prog was done in PF this past week after our regular raid days concluded. Your experience was basically the same as mine. We had some members of our static with us for our clear, a penta-legend veteran and another first time ultimate raider who was as dedicated as I was to get the kill before DT. On the last day, I raided in uwu groups for over 12 hours until we got a crazy consistent group after midnight, and we finally ended up getting that one good pull and finally clearing it! I even managed to not have a single death during my entire first kill, and I’m personally super proud of my play for that as well! I think I’d rather prog for as long as I want on my own terms and time for future ultimates, (maybe doing so with a couple consistent friends alongside me) though I do love all my static mates so much and almost all of them have managed to get their clears now as well! 😁
Your story is pretty motivational for me. I’ve been wanting to do ultimate for awhile but I want to clear a savage tier first. I first started Savage with E9S but quit before finishing E10S due to the nightmare that is PF. I quit the following tier after P1S and P2S because P3S in PF was another nightmare. Last tier I quit at P8S because I got kicked out of my static, my raid lead was a crazy jerk who constantly belittle everybody and just made raiding a terrible experience that almost made me quit the game entirely. This tier I’m dedicated to not quit and finally clear a tier with my new chill static, we just cleared P9S and are progging P10S. All my parses are grey and I’m playing this tier on my new main GNB and switched to controller on top of that from MMO mouse. I want to prove to myself that I’m a good player and eventually clear DSR. Binging your videos recently I feel that fun sense I felt when I first began playing, keep up the great videos! You got a new subscriber here!
Clearing any ultimate is an absolute gigachad achievement, great job. As a heavens legend I'd have to say don't be afraid of dsr. Prog will be longer sure but it's the exact same as any other fight. Learn the puzzle 1 step at a time, before you know it, you've done it. Best of luck ultimate legend 👍
As someone who's cleared all but TOP currently multiple times over. Its really good to see people giving them a shot, as imo i find them way more fun than savage. Savage is just a means to an end for me to prog ulti's. Congrats on the clear! And hopefully you'll give the other fights a shot eventually!
Congrats on the PF clear! PF can have, like you mentioned, trap parties. So good stuff for being able to get past it all in the end. Also sidenote, appreciate the MegaMan and Bass/7 music being used here, good taste. :)
Congrats! this gives me hope as someone who has done savage before in a static (my friend group lol) but was always the one who had a hard time learning the fights. Which is why I've always been scared off by ultimates ! We all kinda quit the game after the first EW raid tier, but I recently got back into 14 and I really want clearing an ultimate as my new goal haha
The only time I tried an Ultimate in PF was when UCOB released, I tried day 1, we were wiping on Twintania for good teo lockouts, didn't come back since. Man I even had trouble trying to clear P4S in PF after my static went off to play Lost Ark instead. Practically gave up trying to clear anything harder than Extremes in PF. So clearing an ultimate is pretty huge. Congrats, I hope you can eventually get em all done!
Awesome video and grats dude! As someone who quit gw2 to jump into this games endgame its super refreshing to see people try their hand at ultimate, I'm glad you were able to find the drive to push towards that clear. Just finished top last week and have been doing things like C41 of p8/and other ultimates because seeing reactions and takes such as yours make it all worth. Keep going and enjoy the totems!
Thank to you i got confidence and started progging UWU. I no lifed it and cleared it in 10 days after starting the game 2 months ago! Will take a break from ultis now, the PF experience is rough af. Blue mage morbol will be my next objective.
As someone who hasn't cleared a Savage tier but loves MINE Extremes, my story is similar to yours! I watched a lot of videos and read guides, and Garuda and Ifrit were easy enough that I saw Titan after the first three days of prog. Kind of nervous about progging Titan because I've heard so much about gaols memes, and I'm guessing it'll be harder to fill a PF the later i get into the fight. Plus like you said, even just having a single player who doesn't know what they're doing is a prog killer and can be pretty frustrating. But so far prog has been fun! There are so many legends who will help fill parties just because they're bored or want to help, and as long as you've done the basic homework to understand the mechs for the next prog phase and you're good at taking feedback, people are pretty nice.
Oh hey RUclips recommended me this video. I ended up watching your TEA video before this one lol It's kind of weird how people say "you should clear savage first" as a prerequisite. I mean it's generally good advice... since it lets you set expectations. But there's always the exception. It's not a hard prerequisite. My static was a bunch of people in Shadowbringers that only met once a week (and only changed when we were near clearing) who never cleared savage. I mean they ended up CLEARING savage a tier later with how long we were doing content as casuals... but when the static was formed none of us cleared savage before wanting to do Ultima. All of us cleared a year and a week later. Anyone can do Ultimate. You just need two things: 1. Perseverance (and willing to improve while bashing your head in) 2. Lots and lots and lots and lots of time Clearing a savage tier is not a hard prerequisite. It's just generally good advice to see if you're still on the fence about doing difficult content if you're commitment is there. But if you already knew before you even became good at the game, you can just go straight in. For context: The story about us finding out about UwU is we were in Rhalgr's Reach as sprouts. We asked an FC member about the Ultima Weapon Totem menu to an FC member. All they said was "HAHA. Good luck with that one." That member was the very first FC member to congratulate us when we cleared. If anything I took that comment as a friendly challenge (we know the person would never mock us or anything it just probably blindsided them) ruclips.net/video/GuqcbYacqBg/видео.html TL;DR I have a lot of respect for all people who do Ultimate. From whatever background. From vet, to non-savage raider who really liked the shiny. And even more respect for PF only legends. It may be late, but again, congrats on your purely painful PF journey for your first Ultima clear!
I can relate hard to the TItan to Ultima block. I was progging UCOB and as soon as I got to Heavensfall Trio, I feel like people from every phase beforehand. Of course I was making mistakes in every phase but not getting back to the phase was very demotivating. This video made me want to prog UWU though and I'm already at the end of Ifrit.
Came back to this after my clear yesterday! Relate to everything one hundred percent I got lucky with fill times abd had some amazing people helping me so I cleared in 4 days truly amazing experience
GG on the clear, you're braver than I am lol. This is gonna sound so stupid but, as a Reaper main, one thing putting me off with doing ultimate's, at least as my main, is no weapons for it. Like, I get Square doesn't wanna add weapons for new classes that go all the way back to base game for a class that starts at level 70, but at least add weapons for ultimate's with new classes regardless of when they come out, c'mon Square. Edit: Like obviously I'm still hoping to do ultimate's eventually one day, but it sucks that 3 of them won't give me a weapon for my main class, and the ones that do are the hardest ones in the game.
I totally feel this. Also a reaper main so I have to do dsr if I want an ultimate weapon for that job. Hoping in the future square adds more ultimate weapons but it seems unlikely.
I personally found this was a bad decision by Square as they created this content to last and be an achievement forever, yet new classes dont get a weapon? Each time they add a couple new classes it would be not much work IMO.
I can’t believe how much similar our experience is. I have been progging this fight for like a month now. Mostly late at night or on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Let me tell you something the amount of pf i put up and people did know how to kill Gurda is insane. I was so afraid of titan’s jail after seeing all my party members fuck it up, but tonight i got to do it back to back a let me tell you something it is hella ez. Hopefully i get to practice predation and annihilation soon. Also have the same fear that people might not join my party cuz they think i suck 😂
Im also interested in ultimates and love extreme trials, don't feel much of appeal of savage and never done them, congrats and thanks for motivation to actually try uwu
I blind prog'd every Ultimate; in PF/with randos (mostly); on release. All of them completed before reliable guides were created. The only one I haven't even started is TOP because reasons. I don't care about Statics or FCs; not because of being antisocial or anything but simply because it feels restrictive in who you're meeting/helping/playing with when you're in one. I've done UWU and TEA with most if not all Jobs and run Tank/Heal for any group remotely serious about it. UCOB is tbh, kinda torture and less people want to run it than others. Ultimates are fun and I enjoy taking people through them when possible.
What you said at the end about getting a confidence boost from having cleared the ultimate, good on you! The way I see it is that if you can clear an ultimate, you definitely have the ability to clear the savage tier 100%. Progging and ultimate definitely takes a lot more dedication than any one savage fight will take, so you most certainly can clear the current tiers if you put yourself into a position to try them. Best of luck to you on the future ultimates and savage fights, and congrats on your uwu clear!
It's crazy that you did it with no savage experience. Savage is way more chill after such an experience for sure, but I am sure you will enjoy the slower pace but still solid challenge of it.
I also cleared UWU through PF , which is why I'm so impressed that you did it in two weeks, especially with no savage experience under your belt. I cleared it last tier after also completing my first savage tier, also through pf. It took me over a month to do this, though granted, I was on Crystal at the time, and DC travel had not yet been implemented. My clear story is almost the opposite of yours. For whatever reason a party of parsers from Aether had a party up in Crystal with their alts, and they did not lock the pf to duty complete. I'd been on enrage for over a week at this point, so the instant I saw this, I jumped into that party as fast as I could. The catch was I was first timing DNC in that party despite never having taken it into UWU before (I progged on MNK), but I was pretty confident at this point because I had watched the Tessadin Twintails video so many times by this point that I had practically memorized it, and nothing ranged does was mechanically demanding. However, a problem was immediately apparent: We did too much damage. Garuda died before she could even awaken, and we had to intentionally hold our dps to avoid killing her. After we worked out that kink, it was a one and done deal, the group even let me take a photo with them. I will never forget that feeling of euphoria when we killed that thing.
Recently got my own static together for Savage content. I am considering doing Ultimate one day, though I'm not sure if the static I formed would be willing to tackle Ultimate down the road. Time will tell though, and they are a great group of people, so I'm looking forward to Savages with them.
Nice vid! I cleared UCOB with a static last year and it took about three months. Knowing you cleared UWU in two weeks in PF is impressive. I may just go for this after all
I just cleared the current savage tier on Black Mage, and my brain threw a thought out to me like a handgrenade. "Now the only thing left to do is Ultimate" The next idle thought was "Seasoned Ultimate raiders say that TOP is way too hard. Maybe I should do that first on the hardest job just for the hell of it." and then I found out that the Black mage weapon for TOP actually looks pretty cool. I need to resist these urges before I start on a multi-month long escapade that I won't be able to quit halfway from. Dawntrail is coming out soon, and I won't be stuck doing TOP when I should be raiding Arcadion.
Not forcing you to but I suggest trying uwu or another ultimate on your black mage first, one thing about ultimates is that you need the ability to hit the bricks (aka move) at the right time and fast enough or get clipped and insta killed by a mechanic. if you cleared the savage tier you could reach ultima weapon in 5-7 days and see what it’s like that is mainly the hardest part of ultimates is doing dps and moving fast
Dang, man, might just need to start PFing Ultimate. I've had a static for 8 years with people coming and going but still have 4 of the original group together. However, we suffer from scheduling issues so we have 0 time outside savage to try anything else. I've wanted to do ultimates since their release but have felt too uncomfortable thinking about progging as a pug. Think it's time to bite that bullet. Congrats, man!
i guess if you can do it i can do it also. I cleared Eden savage through PF also. and Abyssos and Asphodelos. It's just the time management and filling up parties makes me throw up. grats on your clear
honestly i still havent done any extreme+ content cos im worried abt the random ppl,, but seeing this makes me wanna give it a try once finished with the story!
But i have to agree, the roullete of people you get in ult pf is demoralizing sometimes to say the least. I can even speak for myself- i had people first timing fight with 0 clue what to do in clear groups. I kinda wish that Yoshi would give us more tools to work with when creating PF, something like "Duty completed" checkmark but for phases in ultimate. But hey, if anyone watched this video, wanted to do ult but was too scared to actually do it, you better start hopping into some PFs now. >:C I repeat what you said and the end of the video but to all those people i just mentioned out there- don't be afraid to fail, you miss every shot you don't take. The people that run ult pfs usually are willing to help you so don't be afraid to ask "helpers" if you're unsure about anything eighter. Good luck out there! 💙
I had already completed three savage tiers on release before even trying an ultimate (my first one was uwu as well), so it really just felt like a long savage fight to me. TEA is on another level though and I always recommend it for anyone who wants to try peak ffxiv raiding content.
I was in a casual UwU static that only progged 2 days out of the week. After about 5 months we finally reached Suppression but members had eventually quit because meet our deadline. So I went into PF and after about 3 weeks finally found a solid group of players one night going for the clear. We made to Primal Roulette a couple times which was a new prog point for all of us. It got really late but we were all determined to win, so we decided to all meet up the next day, and made a temporary discord so we could have comms. Next day we all meet up, half the people come into discord and we start. We cleared within an hour, my first Ultimate.
I cleared UwU as a static last year. Great fight, very tough. I feel like it's one of the harder ultimates for Healers. I did it as a healer and it almost broke me haha, i'd always wipe us on Annihilation. There is so damn much you have to think of there, and such tight timing/movement.
Savage is gonna feel slow after the pace of ultimate, but at least the 4th fights in each tier should prove entertaining. I really recommend t9, a3s, a8s, o4s, o8s, o12s, p3s, p4s and p8s (can't speak for Eden because my static hasn't reached it yet, but I'm sure e4s and e8s are worth their infamy). Plus doing savages from old expansions in pf can take some time to fill (unless you end up in a discordful of players frequently running them), so you might feel right at home waiting
When i heard "Titan Prog was code word for Garuda Cleanup", and "For every good prog party of the server there's another 9 trap parties" i instantly thought of P8S. Phase 1 into Phase 2? Snakes HC 1 or 2 prog? Snakes Domination Prog? SNAKES. Prepare for all types of trap parties going back to savage.
I kinda get your feeling, DSR was my first ultimate, everyone kept telling me ''hey u shouldnt jump on DSR before doing at least uwu'', it took 3 months of hard work to finally get my clear, and when I did, it was the best moment I ever had on a videogame. Now im progging TOP on P3 atm, if I had listened to that people i probably wouldnt be even trying and would still be feeling that I was not good enough to do ultis on patch. Dont ever let people say what u can and what u cant do in XIV.
Congratulations!! 🎉 Weapon's Refrain ultimate has been out for a while so the players you played with most likely had previous experience on the fight. 👍 But it’s still rare to see real progress even under those circumstances with just party finder players. Seeing the Titan fight made me shiver. Not in a good way. 😭 Kudos to you for your determination and effort!! 👍
I have tried statics and PF for savage and I must say, never again doing a static. I'm the kind that learns quick with guides and I can usually hop into a fight and prog mechanics very quickly. I just tried TEA for the first time and actually cleared Limit Cut in my first party. I hope phase 2 can go down quickly too... P8 ON THE OTHER HAND IS HELL
gzgz got my first ult clear in ucob pf after like 2 weeks of nonstop prog.since then i cleared all of them in pf (except top obviously), all ults take is alot of time, u can definitly do it.
First Ultimate is always the hardest ( or so they say ) but in reality you'll get the feeling of it later and look fondly back on your first clears! Also I think your frustration really is just the player pool looking into ultimates. UWU, Ucob, TEA are PFable to a degree but because they are older content will take longer. DSR and TOP are possibly PFable and you will definitely get parties slightly faster but the randomness and consistency becomes rubber band of craziness. Also consistency to getting to later fights is ... with all fights. TEA - It's always Doll Prog or BJCC Memees. for DSR its always Meteors, Nid or DOTH proggers for P7 clear parties XD
Hey I really mess with the video and the story. I was grinding UBOC and got hard walled on Nael phase which apparently was code word for twin cleanup. I stopped playing but I might get back into it and start trying again. I don’t think I’m going to get as lucky as you with the clear for 1 party though, even after I get practice in the entire fight. But hey who knows. And good job on your clear!
What datacenter did you do this on? I'm on a similar situation, I just came back to the game and I've done only two Savage tiers so nobody will want me for a static in Elemental, but PF is absolutely dead over here as well... I have experience at a very high level in other MMOs so I think I can do it, if I find people... Edit: ah you mention later it's Aether.
As someone who also did UWU using only PF within 2 weeks, I can say 100% everything you mentioned happened to me. I was a WAR when I played it and there is a slight difference whether you start as MT or OT in what you have to do, especially in the Ultima phase. I had to juggle between the two periodically just to see later mechanics. Suppression groups I'd join where Perdation groups in disguise. The amount of titan memes I witnessed... I only got my clear when I joined a group who clears it for fun, and I accidently killed my OT during Aetheric Boom because I used Inner Release which grants Knockback Resist, so they ended up taking the first orb solo. I somehow lived taking the second orb solo lol. It's a great feeling to clear any ultimate, especially when it is done all in PF. Welcome to the club, my fellow Ultimate Legend!
Also personally I ran a static learning uwu for a long time but we were all inexperienced and prog was super slow. Eventually we made it to ultima but we only ran once a week for like 2 hours, people didn't show, had to get replacements all the time. Eventually I got frustrated and did the clear for 1 thing in aether pf like you lol. Got my clear within a few days putting maybe 2 hours in each day.
My issue with doing harder content is that I have 0 trust in anyone. I haven't even cleared Barb EX because no matter how many "seen engrage" parties I host I can't seem to get a party to sruvive enough of part 2 to get the clear. I solidified that I will never do harder than EX trials even still and I'm all the more sane for it
@robertc6898 that doesn't really do anything because you generally get different people with each pf regardless. Especially when there's the behavior of one person leaving the entire group feels they need to leave
I also decided to close uwu, and watching the video I realized that I was going literally the same way, I was very surprised by these coincidences, now I am on predation and hope to finish soon
Hi! I’m trying to be like you so bad dude. I’m honestly not that interested in savage but I really want to try UWU. I’ve seen Garuda awaken but that’s about it, I really, REALLY wanna kill this damn thing. But statics probably won’t accept me, I’ve got no savage experience lmao. Just gotta hope and pray Edit: I CLEARED
Grats on the clear. Curious on why you don't enjoy savage content. From the way it sounds at the start of the video where you like EXs but didn't know how to do ultimate mechanics on a fight you just watched a guide on, I'm curious if you weren't used to that level of difficulty when trying savage?
My first savage experience was honestly pretty bad, I had no idea what I was doing and caused several wipes without realizing it was my fault. Coming from a game like destiny, communication is the standard and voice chat is commonly used for raiding, this is not the case in xiv and it was a weird barrier to overcome. You basically have to understand when it’s your own fault because nobody else is going to tell you. I think it’s this fear of coming across as toxic that stops people from giving proper advice on doing mechanics, and this made my first savage experience incredibly stressful. This was all back at the launch of endwalker tho and I’ve become a much better player since then. I’m sure I could enjoy savage now and im planning to hop into abyssos once my buddy catches up.
@@bigbluepurple Makes sense! When you talked about not enjoying savage and then mentioned you didn't retain information from a guide you just watched, it kind of made sense.
yee, when your new to high end in this game, I think its really important to actually SEE the fight in action before a guide truly has any value. After you get some experience, the guides are so much easier to follow.
After mulling it over for a while, i said fuck it and just queued into a pf after watching the videos a couple times, it was a 3-4 hour session, but we beat garuda and got halfway to ifrit, hoping i can get to titan tomorrow :D
I really needed to watch a video like this almost gave up on doing UCOB Nael was a nightmare but I will try again and if someone is insane enough to do it in light with me just replay xD
2:25 people telling you to do savage before ultimate makes sense but it isn't needed lol. My friend has now cleared ucob, tea, and uwu without doing a current savage tier. I always find it funny when people ask her about savage qnd gives them a :]
Man I literally want to do uwu for my adventure plate lmao. Those accents would look so good on my setup 😭 After I clear p8s that's my next goal I think
If u wanna no life ultimates daily, then lemme ask: what in the hell is stoping You from joining a static and do it x times a week and then also prog pf non stop as much as u like ? U would get to practice ur prog points faster with static which means u could very easily then join suppression into clear progs in pf.
i got my first UWU clear in 2 weeks in pf too, before that, about 10 months of playing, ye people been gatekeeping this and that, but surely UWU is the easiest ultimate and clearable in the pf. Then at the next week after my first clear, i got my 12th clear, i just need 3 more to forget about it forever. But loot party most of times are worse than a clear party, kek, so many people greeding for their parse and disrespecing mechanics.
Dude I feel you on the loot parties. Always random wipes on primals and suppression followed by the party instantly disbanding after like 2 wipes. Good shit on all those totems, I don’t have the willpower to get that many rn haha. Worst part for me is waiting 1+ hours for the party to fill just for a chance at a totem.
Yep greed people for parses. You might wanna try to party up during your regions prime time, it might fill up faster, although no guarantee it will be fast. I'm usually doing it around 9PM to 2AM JST because im playing in japan dc
Clearing an ult in pf in two weeks for someone without much raid experience is pog, good job!
Your clear will depend on the answer to one single question and that question is this:
How badly do you want it?
I'm slowly but surely working my way through UWU right now in PF, so this is hugely encouraging. I'm hoping to finish up Ifrit next.
This is the most realest experience you can hear from someone who’s cleared fights with PF.
This has actually given me the motivation to use PF to start doing Extreme and Savage content. Thanks.
I'll share mine as it shares some similarities:
When DSR released, I had just gotten through my first savage tier through a mix of PF & a casual static.
I wish more people would have your mindset.
Congrats on your clear! This was great to read. Spend your 100 poetics wisely lmao. Best of luck with your totem parties
I'm actually planning to try to PF UWU as well. Been wanting too for so long but I held back for awhile. Thanks for the motivation!
Hello BigBluePurple, it's Dexel Prep from Gilgamesh!
Thanks for making this video man. I feel like you and I are similar players, and this gives me the confidence to just go for it. Great content!
Did you clear?
currently going through pf hell right now while trying to clear this. whenever my motivation starts to waver i watch this video to help me keep going
Oh hey RUclips recommended me this video. I ended up watching your TEA video before this one lol
It's kind of weird how people say "you should clear savage first" as a prerequisite.
You just need two things:
1. Perseverance (and willing to improve while bashing your head in)
2. Lots and lots and lots and lots of time
Clearing a savage tier is not a hard prerequisite.
If anything I took that comment as a friendly challenge (we know the person would never mock us or anything it just probably blindsided them)

TL;DR I have a lot of respect for all people who do Ultimate.
I also just did this the other day. Had an absolute blast and UWU has turned into one of my favorite fights in the game!
Thank you for giving me the confidence to go to higher difficulty fights and congrats on your clear, keep up the grind!!
"Now the only thing left to do is Ultimate"
The next idle thought was "Seasoned Ultimate raiders say that TOP is way too hard.
PF has been slow for UwU and most other ultimates because of the new one. Otherwise I tend to help people clear ultimates. Not prog... But c41s.
Ha! I’ve seen and proved with people in here before probably even you at some point! Got my clear early Jan. Grats on the blue weapon!
honestly i still havent done any extreme+ content cos im worried abt the random ppl,, but seeing this makes me wanna give it a try once finished with the story!
gj gamer
I've cleared UWU, UCOB, and TEA in PF. It's a lot of fun and way more at your own pace.
Big kudos to you. Great job man.
Congratz on the clear! 💙Ult PF can be tough sometimes but never give up on the think you want to achieve!
Trying ultimates now just because of this video
I cleared UwU as a static last year.
Great fight, very tough.
I feel like it's one of the harder ultimates for Healers.
I did it as a healer and it almost broke me haha, i'd always wipe us on Annihilation.
There is so damn much you have to think of there, and such tight timing/movement.
Yeah the tanks and the healers def have the most pressure in this raid. As a melee I had it the easiest for sure haha
Imho the last tier fights are borderline ultimate.
I like your Ultimate videos. I think I want to give them a try.
Going through this right now through PF getting stuck on Titan when you want to prog annihilation is the worse. Feels hopeless sometimes
Congrats on the clear! Uwu has the best glow in my opinion so enjoy ;D
gzgz
got my first ult clear in ucob pf after like 2 weeks of nonstop prog.since then i cleared all of them in pf (except top obviously), all ults take is alot of time, u can definitly do it.
Ah yes, Frost Man's theme, classic.
Hardest part about doing ultimates for me is just finding people to do it with, maybe it's possible though, I just keep putting it off.
Working on a uwu clear rn with my static and just recently got passed titan last Saturday
Honestly, clearing an ultimate in pf after 2 weeks is pretty fast haha. Congrats!
Congrats on getting through it with pf alone! Lemme tell you, reclear groups aren't much better for consistency on getting past Titan...
I’ve come to realize this haha… joined a solid 5 reclear parties and none have cleared. Fun times.
My issue with doing harder content is that I have 0 trust in anyone. I haven't even cleared Barb EX because no matter how many "seen engrage" parties I host I can't seem to get a party to sruvive enough of part 2 to get the clear. I solidified that I will never do harder than EX trials even still and I'm all the more sane for it
I hate this excuse lol. If you are supposedly not the problem, just BL griefers and keep pfing.
@robertc6898 that doesn't really do anything because you generally get different people with each pf regardless. Especially when there's the behavior of one person leaving the entire group feels they need to leave
can confirm as someone who likes to help clear parties now and then they are mad cursed sometimes 😂
Prayging for you guys you'll get your clear
Well, i watched your vids about BLU and ARR relic and did those after, i guess I shall become a legend soon
update: cleared uwu in PF clear for 5!!!! fun fight
I also decided to close uwu, and watching the video I realized that I was going literally the same way, I was very surprised by these coincidences, now I am on predation and hope to finish soon
Congrats on the clear! I've been prepping to go into Ucob lately and hey, if you can do an ult in 2 weeks with low experience, then so can I!
grats on the clear dude! my teams doin ucob rn :D
Congrats bro but dawg u bout to make me try this after 2 years of glossing around this bit of content I've wanted to try since I was a sprout lol.
Grats on the kill!
Hope to see you in TOP sometime
Got to Ultima in one day and have been stuck on anni for the last week 🤣. Every prog is Titan Gaols prog. That or someone forgets to LB on time.
Just gotta hope and pray
Edit:
I CLEARED
I’m ngl I had so much fun just being in a Garuda prog party. Feels like a hint of fun to come
At Ultima now this so fuckin nice
Really congrats, i cleared it like a few weeks ago and now learning dsr and its like 100 times harder than uwu ;-;
I joined multiple statics, and both of my clears at at this time were from PF XD.
After mulling it over for a while, i said fuck it and just queued into a pf after watching the videos a couple times, it was a 3-4 hour session, but we beat garuda and got halfway to ifrit, hoping i can get to titan tomorrow :D
this was basically my experience, yeah. i wouldnt wanna do that again lmao especially with the harder ults
It's crazy how many people will join a party finder group and not be able to make it to the mechanic the group is progging
I really needed to watch a video like this
almost gave up on doing UCOB Nael was a nightmare
but I will try again
and if someone is insane enough to do it in light with me just replay xD
"I don't want to do 4 separate fights.." Uwu is literally 4 separate fights jam-packed into one, haha
Those accents would look so good on my setup 😭
After I clear p8s that's my next goal I think
can u plz post whole footage without clip?
If u wanna no life ultimates daily, then lemme ask: what in the hell is stoping You from joining a static and do it x times a week and then also prog pf non stop as much as u like ? U would get to practice ur prog points faster with static which means u could very easily then join suppression into clear progs in pf.
PFing an ultimate is certainly an experience 🤣
UWU is the easiest one to do in PF, I farmed the rest of my weapons there TEA and DSR in PF are the rough ones
i got my first UWU clear in 2 weeks in pf too, before that, about 10 months of playing, ye people been gatekeeping this and that, but surely UWU is the easiest ultimate and clearable in the pf.
I'm usually doing it around 9PM to 2AM JST because im playing in japan dc
this has to be some sort of torture
Been wanting to do uwu. Was scared to. This has shown me i can do it
