Try adding another fold out on the other side so that your palette will rest more on your forearm and not be torqueing against your thumb. Most people don't realize that bigger oil painting hand palettes are actually made to rest on the forearm.
Yeah since making this video, I made a thumb hole in the center top part of the bottom panel so that the weight is better distributed around my hand and arm. It's much more comfortable now.
@@SergioLopezFineArt just got my little palette today! Does Acryla gouache stay well in there? I apologize, I don’t recall the type of gouache you use.
@@jillam7039 it will stay wet for as long as regular gouache will stay wet, however, once it dries it's stuck in there until you pry it out, of course. It's impossible to reconstitute.
Hey.. was that white duct tape on the bottom of the paint pallet that you clipped down to the board? I have the portable painter set up now. Love it, but I think I will break out the white duct tape. Genius, like Mc Iver. Lol! Thx.. I’m getting into gouache now and will probably need what you’ve got going on there. Looks like a tight hinge there as well! Thx, God Bless! - Messy Mendy

Cool video
