Overpriced and overrated. Avoid at all costs. The vendors this year are mostly the same as last year. The prices have increased while the sizes of the portions have decreased. Furthermore, consumers have the right to share their honest thoughts just like he is sharing his unfiltered opinions.
Prices have risen over the last couple of years. Vendors are not to blame for inflation. Pakistani people love complaining, they know the value of nothing and price of nothing.
Stay by to the end because I talk about some of the concerns that you guys are raised with this festival! I thought I would take this opportunity to give my unfiltered raw thoughts on this event, how it’s run, the pricing and everything in between
I went 3 years back and i loved it but prices are sooo expensive. Got to get a loan out to pay for some of the food. I don’t understand why prices are so high? First and last time i visited.
That is a very good idea, I hope they start selling a wider variety of foods, completely agree. Otherwise it's just the same kinds of foods that people are eating anyways. Hopefully they take that on board
Pricing will always be an issue until the organisers make a change and create alternative revenue streams. The organisers have to cover the cost for the venue hire and their staff, on site and off. Currently their only revenue streams seem to be the price they charge customers for tickets and the charge for the venders for a stall. I'm not sure how it works with the venders, whether its an upfront fee or if they are charged a percentage of revenue. If they fix these issues it may be a pleasent experience for your average customer. They need to look at their sponsors, and they need to get the sponsors to burden a large part of the costs. As a result the tickets will be cheaper, attracting more people and less complaints, you'll get more venders because there'll be less upfront costs, and the venders can reduce their price because the only reason for them to be as high as they are is the cost the are incurring just for being there. Unless these issues are fixed I can't see the festival being around for much longer, the majority of people that go are one and done simply because of the cost.
Aslaamualaykhum I was there I never saw you! The Birmingham one, right? I was there on the Saturday though but it was nice there. Bit of advice my brother please don't talk about your barber on camera as that may count as back-biting but rather discuss with them in person. 😊 Aslaamualaykhum and maybe I'll see you at another food festival.
It was lovely meeting you and sharukh on Sunday, even though you were really busy. Still had time to take a picture with us. Mad respect, will definitely come to Southall to check out the food arcade Insha'Allah
I was thinking of going but the reviews are mixed. Also, you have to pay entrance fee, parking fee seems high. The food is similar, very pricey for smaller portion. Eventually, these festivals I feel will die off.
I enjoy the concept and its a step in the right direction for halal food but i have to say majority of the pricing is way too high, when you take a family it adds up to a ridiculous amount. Would be better off going to the actual shops. I felt like i was buying food at harrods in some places.
brother i attended the food festival I enjoyed it, as you said in your video I agree yes their needs to be more variety in the food stalls, I know the London Halal food festival is not linked with the halal food festival but in the London Halal food festival their are Egyptian cuisine venders if I remember correctly Thai food, I think their was Kenyan food, as well arab food I will stop the rant my point is that it be very nice if these exact same would also attend the halal food festival events My second complaint is that the pricing should be affordable to the buyers - also if they are able to offer tasters this would entice people to come to their stalls and buy also would like to mention here people who attend not all of them are in high paying jobs but none the less they come to these events as a day out also to experience different cuisines so offering affordable pricing is helpful Another point which one of my family members who was with me at this festival raised to me is offering different portion sizes this way they can cater for everyone needs for example influencers as part of their role try alot of food at these kind of events some finish the entire meal whilst others just take enough of a bite of each meal to me be able to talk about it and review it recommend it or tell people not to bother trying whilst others might have people who genuinely can't eat the whole thing ( that could be a child, or a adult whose elderly etc etc eyc) Another point is the amount we pay for tickets is ridiculous yes credit were credit due yes this year they handed just eat vouchers out to people who purchased the tickets during Ramadan time as well just a few days after Eid but still for those couldn't purchase tickets late because they couldn't afford it at that time but after working hard they manage to save u up enough to be able to pay for tickets unfortunately missed out the just eat vouchers Another point is big respect for handing out landyards with the discounts on rhem but again those for what ever reason couldn't attend on time missed out the landyards with the discounts on them
I went on the Sunday and it was ok, nothing really jumped out. Pricing has crept up and portions look smaller but what I found disappointing was some of the "celebrity" vendors behaving with arrogance. Not acknowledging the customer and behaving like they were better or too big to engage. The food was over rated but the best for me was the Caribbean food as it was a healthy portion and super tasty, cant remember the name of the vendor but 10/10. Mr Tee is lovely as always and I think alot of people should be humble as he is, Allah bless you Mr Tee and give you so much success. Ameen Looking forward to your King Street restaurant Ali, Insha Allah it all goes well for you.
Nothing new here. Same old food and same old hyping up each other’s food giving out 10/10’s. How about flipping the script and having stalls with healthy food promoting healthy living? The organisers need to really look into this and make this a focal point of the next event. Sorry just my two pence worth as all you see nowadays is the same food reviewed over and over again and it’s just boring and encouraging people to eat junk food.
This got nothing to do with you I just wanna say when I got there it was £19 to park your car , then u had to pay to get in that was €10 , then on top of it everything was expensive the food was expensive prices was stupid 13-15 for a burger nothing was enjoyable because of the price this festival could of been a lot cheaper and could of done it in cannon hill park , small heath park etc
Tbf I hear you, and I feel like the festival will take all of this on board. If you pre-book your parking is £12, but I do appreciate that a lot of money xxx
Everyone complaining about the prices needs to vote with their wallets. This place is a rip off, better off paying this amount of money in a proper restaurant eating high quality food as opposed to this heart attack junk.
Support Ali’s channel and really hope he continues to grow… as for these festivals, I’m sorry to say it’s just a rip off… some may say it’s a one off event so they expect people to pay premium, I guess it’s all down to personal interpretation
Also wanted to mention if your a influencer you entered. With a media pass for those who are influencrs who starting up and growing didn't even receive a landyard with the discounts on them
@@HEYMANFOODREVIEWS look at his body language when you took that burger at the start and then he literally said “you ruined my shot” when you were dipping ur fork into his bowl🤦🏻♀️ but my bad I guess 😒

Great as a social outing with your friends, but if you're going for food it's a rip-off and you're better off elsewhere

That's what I was thinking. It's just oversaturated with burgers. Surprised how ppl haven't got bored already.

Great seeing you and everyone! Incredible Humble Ali
You too my bro!!
Look forward to seeing you again, my bro
I feel everyone in food is taking the piss with the prices had some one charge £14 fr a burger from beardez give your head a wobble guys

My second complaint is that the pricing should be affordable to the buyers - also if they are able to offer tasters this would entice people to come to their stalls and buy also would like to mention here people who attend not all of them are in high paying jobs but none the less they come to these events as a day out also to experience different cuisines so offering affordable pricing is helpful
Another point which one of my family members who was with me at this festival raised to me is offering different portion sizes this way they can cater for everyone needs for example influencers as part of their role try alot of food at these kind of events some finish the entire meal whilst others just take enough of a bite of each meal to me be able to talk about it and review it recommend it or tell people not to bother trying whilst others might have people who genuinely can't eat the whole thing ( that could be a child, or a adult whose elderly etc etc eyc)
Another point is the amount we pay for tickets is ridiculous yes credit were credit due yes this year they handed just eat vouchers out to people who purchased the tickets during Ramadan time as well just a few days after Eid but still for those couldn't purchase tickets late because they couldn't afford it at that time but after working hard they manage to save u up enough to be able to pay for tickets unfortunately missed out the just eat vouchers

Would you prefer smaller portions for smaller food, that way you can try more?
