Hey guys! Make sure you stay by till the end of the video because that’s where I go over the things I enjoyed and some things I didn’t enjoy! If you’re going to commit and buy tickets I think you guys should be aware of everything going in. Do you guys agree with my thoughts? Disagree? Let’s hear it! Interested to hear about your experience at the festival
Agreed. They should make it cheaper especially for families and given the economic situation many are in at the moment. I mean that Lamb was what 12/13 pound when I can go to a Asian all you can eat buffet for the same price, well here in Birmingham I can. The HCH wants too promote eating of Halal meat but with those prices it’s a bit counterproductive. Personally I prefer Halal meat and buy from a halal butcher even though I’m not Muslim as I find the meat a lot more juicy and tender. Brought some chicken breast from tescos. After I cooked it the Brest shrunk down too half the size because their pumped full of water and the meat was so dry. When I cook chicken from my local Halal butcher the meat doesn’t shrink and it comes comes out juicy and tender. My butcher Mo does the whole side chicken leg I can get 4/5 for a few quid, get home, whack some chilli powder and garlic on them whack in the air fryer for 20 mins oh man they come out no shrinkage and dripping in juices😋 just beautiful!
Wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts. The portion size were rather on the small, bearing in mind the price point. You need to have taz feature in the more often.
Your energy is so positive always in A good mood !! You don’t realise how better you make peoples day so definetly keep these videos coming and also wanted you too review Morley chicken in brick lane London
Loved the video bro absolutely amazing i really liked the random cut scenes … gives you a fresher look to what we are used too. Loved everything there wished i had the time off from work . Grand job here Ali … looks like the tomato saga continues 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely wonderful video. U looked like u have had a great time sampling d delicious food from all around d world at d festival. Amazing Halal food experience in London.
Ali I think you're bang on the money in regards to the prices. For a family or infividusl who hasn't got deep pockets this type of event will be expensive for them. I believe the organisers should consider reducing the ticket prices or giving discounts for families. Lovely reviews on the food and had it not been for the large queues you probably would have shown us different types of cultural foods. Thanks bro. Please do check out Kolapata in Whitechaple East London, decent authentic food at a decent price.
How much does it cost? If this is on next year as I love different foods, especially Asian aka Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian food etc. but I find Halal meat especially chicken so much more tender. I buy my meat from a Halal butcher even though I’m not a Muslim because he’s cheaper, the chicken portions are huge and the meat just seems to keep its juiciness.
Great video bro making me hungry watching you eat 😋 inshallah I will make it to the next one missed it this year. Great video and well done to camera man for getting in the good shots 👍
Ali, jazakallaah khayr for such an honest review. That was so helpful, I always wanted to go to this halal food festival. But based on your honest review I think I want to stay clear. If pricing both from vendors and organisers was better that's a different proposition I guess. But I simply hate queuing fit anything, queuing for hours when hungry is not a good! Thanks for the honesty Ali!
Yes Houmaan I was thinking about going next year in 2023 if it’s on but the price puts me off. If I was too take my wife and 3 boys, that’s a expensive day out. Which is mad because I buy Halal meat from my Halal butcher even though I’m not Muslim because one he’s cheaper and two his meat quality is way better than the crap you get from the supermarket. Try cooking chicken Brest from Tescos. They come out half the size because their pumped full of water and shrink. If I buy whole chicken legs from Mo I cook them in the air fryer and they come out the size they went in and way more juicy and tastier, because their not pumped full of water and salt. Plus I prefer the leg meat, so much more tasty and juicy than chicken Brest. Especially in a curry.
Hi Ali! Another great, balanced review of food, so many varieties to try! I tend to agree with you about the pricing, x amount entrance fee and then almost Restaurant prices for food, although the portion size was Restaurant size in most cases. I thought that the idea of a food festival was to promote the dishes of the vendors that they sell in their normal restaurants. Maybe if the portion sizes were smaller like just taster portions for a couple of pounds. I wouldn’t be able to eat more than a couple of different food types at full portion before I would be full, so it would be pointless in me going to a food festival, I’d miss out on most of the different cuisines! What do other people here think?
They should give a meal free with a ticket, atleast make it worth while. Most people have big families and probably get put off. On another note, masha'allah you have a good appetite bro lol, I would be looking for the nearest place to nap after the first meal hahaha. Great content as always :)

Hi, New to your channel. Loved this realistic representation of the food festival. Definitely feel for those who got tickets for Sunday afternoon if the vendors would be sold out and makes me feel like if I were to go I would go for the first session! You'd probably need your whole family to go with you and each person stand in a different queue to get everything you might want to try. Do you have a Q&A video ? Or if not will you do one ?
Totally agree with your feedback. I also think there was a lack of seating but as your point regarding the ticket to vendor ratio highlights, there was a sense of ill preparation from the event organiser. I went on the Saturday for the morning only session and there were crazy amounts of queues with no proper barrier segregation which I noticed in your video. Hopefully the next one will be better managed. Great vids and regarding your collaboration you should consider the food troll. I find his videos very entertaining indeed and I believe he is based in Tyneside...
Assalamualaikum from Singapore, Ali! I am new to your channel. Stumbled upon your reviews on Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok as I miss travelling to eat. I think the fact that they are trying to create a sort of night market experience in London is a step forward. I really am amazed that Singapore's Old Chang Kee had set up a booth over there! But I agree: if a food festival charges entry fees for a food event that requires you to pay for food, then something is really off. It is really unfortunate that the vendors limited the number of dishes sold per day. Perhaps, a booking system with a nominal fee to pre-order could help too? It is a logistical nightmare, but it ensures that everyone gets to try the food and that the vendors can gauge the number of attendees. We do have vendors who accept pre-orders and collection here for some events and festivals in Singapore! Then again, it is still up to the organiser's discretion! Thanks for sharing this! Will plan a trip to London and Glasgow (where my alma mater is) soon!
It's either West Ham FC have charged the organiser a massive rental fee..or the organiser is cashing in on the pitch fee from the stalls. Festivals are great but it's a big risk if you are a small business renting a stall/pitch. The initial outlay runs into thousands of pounds..probably why they are reluctant to over stock incase they don't sell 🤷🏻♂️ Anyway great content Ali 😎 Some of the food looked 👌🏼
Agree with your assesment the end. They're just milking as many sales as possible without giving a thought to food supplies and queuing times. Also, I asked the festival organisers if they verify their vendors actually are halal before the event and they said they don't! So to market it as a 'halal' food festival is outright false advertising.
Definitely not worth the money IMHO. A better model may be to charge the vendors a stall 'rental' fee as ultimately it's about them promoting their businesses. I would suggest a flat rate charge of £3 pp and for prices to be slightly lower for the food. If the organisers really want to make more money then charge the vendors ~5% for every item sold. I don't know just a suggestion. Nothing will change though as it's already super popular. Anyway really informative vid 👍👍👍

It’s kind of mind boggling you have to pay to get in plus the stores are going to pay rent for they food stalls the winners the organisers.
Tbh I think paying to get in is reasonable, pretty much industry standard but small tweaks could be made
is your cameraman your bro😂 you sound the same person😭
