- I got inside the Tim Hortons coffee factory and interrogated the head roaster to see if he'd spill the beans on their secret coffee recipe.

This place blew my mind. So much goes in to the roasting and blending process. Way more than I ever thought. Did you know this!?
Hey is that tour open to the public?
I actually really enjoyed that. I love your content. Keep up the great work. I guess that rumor that mcdonald's bought the tim hortons coffee recipe was untrue.
A and W has great coffee and McDonalds too. And at half the price.
We've got Tim Hortons here in England
They might have had the same "recipe" since 1964 but the coffee tasted better when it was roasted and supplied by Mother Parker's instead of them doing it themselves since about 2009. Now it tastes more watered down.
“Same recipe” but made by a completely different company that 100% doesn’t put in the same amount of quality control. This is just a clever wording trick to dance around the FACT that their quality went down when Burger King took over. Prioritizing profit margins over the quality of your product.
I don't drink coffee and my husband hates Tim Hortons coffee. He says it always tastes burnt.
But did you get a chance to talk to them about the lids?😂
I forgot! They distracted me with the coffee beans !
They actually changed the lids at the one I go to here in the States. They're like the Canadian ones, only brown and without the maple leaf design.
No way! I’m from Hamilton but have lived near Ottawa the better part of the last two decades. We will be visiting my mom around the 16th I believe. Maybe I can see the show!!
Yes come on out!
You should do American vs Canadian Walmart!
Fun. Keep inspiring.
Very cool. I’ve worked at Tim hortons since 2006 (minus two maternity leaves)
"IT'S MOUNTAIN GROWN" - - - from Canada.
Thats cool ,i would love to make my own coffee blend
Well my raspberry jam on toast hasn't changed in 30 years, but since since Kraft jam disappeared it sure doesn't taste as good 😂
Nice roast.
I was hooked on Tims until they dropped their original bean supplier and McDonalds immediately picked them up - I've preferred McDonalds ever since - imagine that!
Mother Parker’s was the supplier for Tim’s. MacDonalds made a very smart move in taking over that blend.
“Same recipe since 1964” 😂
@@DJHR_Music . “McDonald's coffee in Canada is supplied by Mother Parker's, who used to supply Tim Horton's, until Tim Horton's built their own roasting facility” - have a friend in the wholesale coffee business.
Great work Joseph! 👏
That was really interesting. I wish i could i could say "I'm always on a coffee break". Thanks Joseph.
Thank you!
Crazy
Why do they need to taste 300 coffees a day? They don't add/ change the coffee very often
You should do a Burlington, ON (Canada) vs Burlington, VT (USA)
My dad would have loved to take part of what was called 'Train Camp', where you could learn how to operate a steam train engine. You 'camped' on the train as it travelled through the mountains.
Looks like Joseph fulfilled a dream to go to 'Coffee Camp'. 😁
😂❤
You should check out 22 Minutes Starbucks 'Corn On The Cobb Ucchino', very funny.
Take care, and all the best.
No Costa Rican coffee beans
I need a job as a coffee taster!
YES!!
Tim Hortons how do I become a coffee taster at your company?
FYI your coffee used to taste good it tastes like dishwater lmao
Since 1964?? I highly doubt it. They changed their coffee when Restaurant Brand International bought them out. The current coffee they serve is bilge water compared to what it used to be.
How is it the same recipe? Didn’t they switch coffee beans? McDonald’s has their old ones
Im not sure, but its possible they just switched farms from where they get the beans within a certain country.
It might technically be the “same recipe”, but I guarantee that the processes are not done in the same ways as before. Which would directly result in a different flavour profile. This is just a slick advertising campaign trying to act like they didn’t tank their company by abandoning its core values
It is amazing people think Tim Hortons coffee went downhill after new owners bought Tim's but the expert just told everyone the same blend has been made since 1964.
I call Bull-Shite ! - Taste is not the same ( imo
I second the call of Bullshit!!! Lol
@@jennifermassie7227 worked for TH for 9 years, I can verify it's the same exact blend. The difference might be how long it's being left before dumping or not removing the filter basket right away - both of those change the taste drastically.
It's not the same!!!!
As a barista, the blend has changed.
Can you come back to sudbury to do a show?
Will try for sure!
awesome!@@JosephD
What happened to Jason?
Used to love Tim Hortons, but it definitely changed (cheapened) after the company was bought out. Everything about that coffee shop went downhill.
Went from a family style restaurant to soulless corporation REAL quick
After watching this video I need to try Tim Hortons coffee, it looks so good!
Stick to McDonald's or A and W.
Do yourself a favour and go literally anywhere else, Burger King ruined the company
I am drinking Tim Hortons Coffee as we speak watching this Video..
Purple Gorillaz. Peace.
Too bad the actual original coffee blend from the 90s has changed. 🙄
The worst coffee in the world. Tims is not even owned by a Canadian company
Well as you went the the can tire on Fairview im going towards new street right now meet at Gary Allen high school ill take your roast lol jk 🤣 im out of the city and dont care really lol
Hate to say this, but Tim Hortons coffee is no longer a Canadian icon, its coffee is less for more, and taste the worse it ever has tasted. The people running it have done so (pardon the pun) into the ground) and the people working there are rude, ignorant, and do not care. I love your channel, but I no longer support Tims...and most others dont either. But we support you :)
Well considering it’s now owned by Burger King, nothing about it is Canadian anymore. Every product they sell is worse than it used to be because they sacrificed quality for profits, as American companies do. Like they seriously took away the sauce that MADE the turkey bacon club good. Now it’s just another mid sandwich. And they won’t even cut it for you anymore unless you specifically ask, and when you do, they don’t cut through the bottom piece of bread 100% of the time….. I’d rather go literally ANYWHERE than Timmies now………
Tim Horton coffee is bottom tier in my opinion. 🤮Call BS on this whole video. Either false or all the r and d is leading down the wrong path. Spoken by a true Canadian who, by the way, saw Tim Horton play, and who, as a ten year old, wrote a song in memorium of Tim Hortons death in his Lotus Europa on highway 401.
Ridiculness
