I actually have a mod for a golf mk4 and with a sport intake and everything else stock, if I overrev it but not to the point of the engine exploding, the engine actually started losing power over time to the point where it barely moved and then when it finally stalled, I couldn't turn it back on again
There’s a Dodge Challenger Demon mod I have where if you go ham on it from a dig. The engine actually destroys itself. If you start off slow, everything is fine though. It’s pretty metal. The car does like +220. Lol.
In older cars it would require an extra wire from the engine to the cluster to transmit the rpm. Nowadays the cluster just taps the OBD2 to read the rpm.

It's a disappointment really , and they were really close to dying off because of near bankrupcy but they saved themselves by electrifying their cars.
@@chrism869If it was running low on oil due to an oil leak then it will eventually start knocking. After that, the engine would blow a hole through the block or seize. Mostly the former.

a turbo and a combined supercharger + turbocharger in one reliability exists, you know? its not all about being that one 1994 supra that goes 298mph with 3800hp

there was no rod knock, it wont even crank if it was an oil leak, it would be seized

There was a random smoke at 2:44 and I think that's the engine failing and then it died later
That's not smoke, that's a bug with the map where the light from the underground tunnel comes up to the road above

99% sure the oil overheated, the engine friction was set too high and the oil probably reached >150c, which caused engine damage
