This song really takes the emotion of the show and puts it into a different form. From the pain Se-Ri felt to the pain that Ri felt. It really captures it well and turns it into something beautifully sad. It truly is a reminiscence of sorrowful hearts. Thank you for playing it.

hi! i ended up watching from episodes 6 until 16 with my mom (she told me the plot i needed to know until ep 6) and finished the drama just today. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ, SPOILERS AHEAD! if you're asking about how sad the ending is; for me, it's more of a bittersweet kind of ending. yes, se-ri and captain ri do somehow manage to find a way to spend about 2 weeks together in switzerland at least once a year, but that's 2 weeks ONLY per YEAR. that is what makes it bittersweet somehow, for them, because those 2 weeks are the only moments they have together. they'll never get married or live a life with each other because they just can't. it's also saddening for seo dan; the person she might've been really happy with had to die. after all she's been through, that's still the ending she gets. but what i like is that she's powering on even after it and through all of it. what i like about the ending is that it kind of gets the message of the whole drama across; don't give up on your life, because there's always something in the future you can look forward to. it may not be the perfect happy ending we think the characters deserve, but it's the best they can have; and that should be enough. :>
@@sabiealdover actually: *SPOILERS FOR EP 16 TURN AWAY* There are deleted scenes that they couldn't include for one reason or another (I can't quite remember the details) in which Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok are married and she is pregnant. While we can't see the scenes, you can still find a couple of the stills from those scenes online. I hope that makes the ending a little less bittersweet for you :) Personally, I think that Jeong-hyeok is waiting until after his parents defect to leave and be with Se-ri. At that point, nobody would be left behind or punished if he defected. At that point he can live happily with Se-ri in Switzerland :)) All in all, their ending was the most realistic one to me, and the best one that they could have possibly hoped for. Seo-dan's ending was really sad of course, but I also think it was a fitting end of his character arc. He made every effort to do the right thing throughout the shows when he realizes that the way he's living his life is wrong. He helps out Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri at every opportunity, and even dies for the girl he loves. And on that note, he dies with the knowledge that the person he loves loves him back. It was super sad, yeah, but it was a realistic ending for such an amazing show.
