Just got this game recently and have been grinding Hellblade by myself. So frustrated with being stuck on G5 that I'm on RUclips trying to find videos of people suffering against deviants to make myself feel better lmao, thank you for this.
And the EX deviants... I ve cleared all the hardest EX, like Bloodbath, Boltreaver, Hellblade etc. If you need some help, perhaps we'll meet in a hub someday xD
Grimclaw was actually one of my more liked Deviants, despite me being afraid of Tigrex in general. He's Zenith, on the other hand, is everything wrong with Tigrex times 11.
He actually does because there ISN'T a dual molten tigrex mission in 4 ultimate, that would have to be a custom quest, it literally doesn't exist, check all the quests yourself, not even in the event missions. EX Grimclaw (which is NOT shown here) is many, many times harder than G3 Molten, I remember beating molten in around 3 hours of attempts, but EX Grimclaw took me around 56 hours of attempts spread out through 14 days. I did these solo by the way.
@@colbyr.adamson4427 I think you should actually fight the beast itself before you judge, it has EVERYTHING Molten has, moveset wise, and MORE......it just doesn't have blast, but the EX version of grimclaw hits harder than Molten even with blast with maxmized defenses.

It really doesn't sound like you've ever fought the monster...you don't just suddenly forget conquering an EX deviant...its one the hardest challenges in any monster hunter ever, its the equivalent of doing a double level 140 apex monster solo, that's how difficult it is, many times harder than Worlds version of Fatalis.
He doesn’t gain the Elder Dragon classification. Hilariously enough he is classified as a “???” type monster, despite all monsters with no known classification (ie Kirin and Yama Tsukami) being automatically classified as an Elder Dragon. So you CAN capture him.
I wanted the grimclaw great sword so I was soloing it with my cats. I had to stop and farm a new set with weakness exploit and Crit boost to finally beat it with about 30 seconds to spare. Then I one tried G3.
What happened at 7:39? I’ve never seen someone explode like that for nothing, you didn’t have blastblight, there was no other monster, you didn’t get hit by the boulder, why is nobody pointing this out?
the rock that tigrex threw out splits and he got caught by the hitbox that hit him offscreen. Its hard to see it from his angle, but in-game its easier to see.
I feel like the difficulty increase is pretty gradual. Going from one level to the next one up, there's usually some stipulation or condition that makes it slightly more challenging then previously. So one quest might have just hunting a Deviant while the next one up is having to capture one and then the one above that is having to hunt two . The G Rank ones can be especially brutal with their damage output, 1 death failures, and combination of challenging conditions.
"Design being pushed further..." That's a way of saying it, lol... I'm not a big fan of gigantic AOE crap and tremor/roar combos myself. I guess why I stopped fighting deviants after a couple of hunts. Just wasn't enjoying it. Didn't feel like anything but the most busted styles stood a chance. And I may be in the minority, but I enjoy guild style of several weapons. Also I felt some monsters were taken, possibly, to their most extreme forms to the point of insanity. I absolutely HATE Barioth in MHGU. Even in Iceborne, where I do find him frustrating he seems a lot more manageable (and especially Frostfang Barioth) than MHGU's version. Oh and Narga... FUCK G Rank Hyper Narga. Waaaay too much health for how much jumping and comboing he does... holy crap. Lol.
@@TheElino Not in GU. HP scaling with the number of player only happens in World/Iceborne. The person is still wrong, the game never force you to play with other players.
@@markf.l.8001 Bruh World scales *down* according to the number of players So u can do everything solo, 2 people, 3 people or 4 people GU village is only for solo and GU hub is only scaled for 4 people No matter how many people u are or if you're alone the online monster will always have the same amount or health because GU does not have player scaling Whilst it technically never forces you to play with other it's much easier and faster with more people
@@nazzarynnavarronunez9471 they just are kinda bad when compared to almost every other weapon. They have huge hitboxes and broad swings which almost always end up flinching every teammate within a 5 meter radius. They just feel extremely clunky too. I played with it for about 400 hours in 4u. It’s definitely not trash and can be decent, but it really isnt what youd want it to be.

Adept plays good against Hellblade. Adept against Hellblade is like a turn based jrpg setting, lol.
G5 deviants are some of the hardest hunts in the series in my opinion. They can get really ridiculous. You shouldn't feel bad for struggling tbh.

Yeah i was a bit mistaken on the dual fight but molten i think would still be a harder version of the tigrex than grimclaw.

Deviants are designed to be fought after getting good gear, not the instant you unlock them.

How long did it take you to clear each one?
A half hour on average if it a mission took 1 try. For multiple tries it took me HOURS to beat the mission.
I really hate how this game "forces" you into multiplayer
But it doesnt, you can literally do everything yourself
But it doesn't. All of this is soloable even if some fight take 20 mins.
Yeah but the person definitely has a point as everything online has a much higher HP multiplier so it will take much longer

It's good (and incredibly popular) in every game but MH4. Not sure where you got the idea that MHW popularized LS.
